‘Remedy’ – Music from the Anne Frank Commission Education pack put together by Northwood, Kingston, Muswell Hill and Finchley ‘Into the Arms of Strangers’ – A teacher’s pack, including a film. Suitable for KS2. ‘Reflections’ – HET – available to every secondary school in the country. Use a picture of the sculpture in Liverpool St. Station of Jewish refugees as a stimulus. 3 Faiths Forum ‘Imagine’ – a piece of prose about leaving/separation from the perspective of a child, parent or foster carer. Finchley Catholic School created a drama and music performance which they performed at old peoples’ homes and Limmud. ‘Stand Up to Hatred’ – 2009; ‘Imagine, reflect and react’ – 2008; ‘Dignity of Difference’ – 2007; ‘Rwanda to the Holocaust,’ -2006. Use the title of the year to stimulate approach to education. After a survivor’s visit – pupils to write letters to them. Year 6 pupils to write poems about ‘difference.’ Use social stories for refugee children. Northwood project.
