The junior golf experience at Summit is filled with fun events, good people, and plenty of instruction opportunities to improve the game of any player. At the Summit Golf Club we have recently been recognized as a National Junior Development Centre by the PGA of Canada. Summit is proud to be a part of a national community promoting junior golf on all levels on and off the golf course. Our programs incorporate an active and healthy lifestyle approach to the game of golf. Physical and mental development is the foundation to a golfer’s progression as a player and person. Starting from the first swing for beginners our programs use a structured pathway developed by the PGA of Canada. Sport Canada has developed Long Term Athlete Development guides in all sports and works directly with the PGA of Canada. They have teamed up to provide a nationwide foundation to structuring the development of a player from beginner to high performance. Our Head Teaching Professional Jon Blomme has helped many juniors reach their golfing goals over the past 10 years. Several of them have received golf scholarships in the US and have won golf tournaments at the provincial and regional levels. Summit Golf Club is promoting junior golf as the foundation for the future of our game.
