SUMMER CAMPS

Plan on spending your summer with us in a wide variety of general and specialty camps at convenient locations throughout our community offered for ages 4-15. We are committed to providing a safe, caring environment for children and youth to foster friendship, unleash creativity, develop new skills and find adventure.

Exciting new adventures, building friendships, imagination, exploration, play and obviously fun! These are just some of the benefits of a summer camp experience. Children will actively play, laugh, and build friendships in our safe and welcoming camp environment. Children will discover new skills and strengths they never knew they had! What a great way to spend a summer in the Halton Hills Community!

Qualified Staff & Supervision All Town of Halton Hills camp leaders have: • Principles of Healthy Child Development Certification through the Provincial HIGH FIVE® Quality at Play program • First Aid and CPR Certification • Extensive pre-camp training including; positive child management techniques, communication and creative program design to ensure safety and diversity Our staff to participant ratios reflects our commitment to excellence and safety during camp • Pre-school camps – 1:7 • All other camps – 1:10 • Each site has an Assistant Coordinator • Trained volunteers supplement supervised ratios

Age Appropriateness Although most programs are listed with a wide age span, children will be grouped according to age. Summer squads break up larger camps into smaller groups where campers have a better opportunity to build relationships and fully participate in activities. Campers will have fun in camp wide events but emphasis will be on participation within the summer squads to ensure more direct attention and incorporation of age appropriate interests.
