Name: Alpha Zaire 45 yr old male Clutching his left shoulder with blood oozing down left arm. Good pulse at right wrist Entry bullet wound noted anterior left shoulder. No exit wound found for bullet No sensation in left arm, slight movement in fingers, weak pulse at left wrist P 120, good volume; RR 22

Name: Braxton Hicks 25 yr old female Moaning in pain blood oozing from abdominal wound. Good pulse at wrist Entry bullet wound at umbilicus with exit left flank. Abdomen stiff. Wants to pee. Abdomen swollen, tense and stiff. Swollen left flank. P 110, full; RR 32; MM pale; Skin clammy

Name: Arlene Sterling 20 yr old female Sobbing inconsolably and vomiting. No evidence of trauma. Can’t find her husband. RR 18 ; P 105, good volume

Name: Travis Wallis 29 yr old male Abrasion to forehead with swelling. No neuro deficit, no bleeding from ears. Right thigh swollen and very painful to movement. RR 22; P 68, good volume; skin dry

Name: Frank Belgrave 25 yr old male Multiple superficial cuts to the right forearm, all superficial. R 28; P 88, good volume.

Name: Roger Martin 35 yr old male Wound to left leg, bleeding profusely. R 20; P 120, good volume. Weak distal pulses left foot.

Name: Jonathon Muller 15 yr old male Cuts to cheek and left eyebrow. Two upper teeth missing. Good pulse. Partial skin thickness cuts to cheek and left eyebrow. Painful Right shoulder, on movement only. No further complaints. P 80, full; RR 22; skin warm and moist

Name: Mory Miller 19 yr old male Stab wound to left thigh. No active bleeding evident. Good distal pulses. R 22; P 84, good volume.

Scenario Two You are at scene of a nightclub where a fire broke out while patrons were inside. Some were injured trying to escape while others are wounded from the incident. (17 victims)

Name: Hilary Clarke 25 yr old female Painful deformed right wrist. Complains of “a lot of pain” in the hand. Good pulse at right wrist P 90, RR 22 No other complaints

Name: Joseph Muller 42 yr old male Limping Painful left ankle and Knee. Swollen left ankle. Deep abrasions on left knee. Unable to weight-bear. RR 22; P 90; skin dry

Name: Alexis Landers 62 yr old female Sobbing +++ Pain right shoulder. Would not allow shoulder to be touched or moved. Shoulder is out of joint Good distal pulse on right, has tingling down arm. RR 22, P 90

Name: Amanda Stone 20 yr old female Sobbing inconsolably and vomiting. No evidence of trauma. Says she always vomits when she’s nervous. No recall of trauma RR 18 ; P 98

Name: Trevor Williams 29 yr old male Abrasion to forehead with swelling. No neuro deficit, no bleeding from ears. Mild headache. Right arm swollen and very painful to movement. Left 3rd and 4th fingers deformed. RR 22, P 88

Name: Frazier Belmont 25 yr old male Multiple superficial cuts in the palm of right hand. Good finger movements. His left thigh is deformed and swollen. R 18; P 88. Good volume pulse. Normal breathing. Normal movement all fingers.

Name: Ruth Mc Carthy 25 yr old female Having difficulty breathing. Frequent coughing audibly wheezing. Known asthmatic. R 30; P 110, good volume

Name: Celbert Carey 45 yr old male Shortness of breath, burning eyes. Wheezing ++ RR 32; P 110, good volume Left ankle swollen, deformed. Unable to bear his weight

Name: Barney Calbot 55 yr old male Unsteady gait, slurred words. Mild wheezing Unsteady gait, slurred speech, Alcohol on breath. Swearing and belligerent. P 90, good volume; RR 22. Vomited during assessment.

Name: Amy Fischer 42 yr old female Burning eyes, coughing +++ Difficulty breathing. Gaping cut to the left side of her forehead. RR 22; P 90

Name: Barry Browder 62 yr old male Pain right side head. Walking around. Complains of worsening abdominal pain. RR 22, P 140, thready. Left pupil not reactive to light

Name: Anita Carter 20 yr old female Sobbing inconsolably. Burns to her right hand and right side of chest and back. No evidence of trauma

Name: Clarence Clancy 45 yr old male Large bleeding wound to right side scalp Not responding to voice, or pain RR 6, gasping; P ?; Pupils dilated.

Name: Barry Talbot 55 yr old male Complains of chest pain, radiating down his left arm. P 90, good volume; RR 22. Skin cool and dry. No injuries evident.

Scenario Three You are at the scene of a hotel where an explosion from the kitchen caused partial collapse of a section of the building. (20 victims)

Name: Amy Tossful 50 yr old female Sobbing Says she’s scared No evidence of trauma RR 18, P 98 . Complaining that something just got in her right eye. ? dust

Name: Mary Jones 29 yr old male Broken fingernail with scanty bleeding. Very aggressive RR 22; P 100. Pupils equal. Bloody left mid-finger. Insists on walking around. Has large swelling to the left side of her head, but skin is intact.

Name: Ann Marie Foster 40 yr old female Gaping cut to her left leg, bone exposed. RR 22; P 90. Good distal pulse. No other injuries.

Name: Basil Bradley 52 yr old male Swollen deformed left wrist RR 22, P 80, good volume. Skin cool and dry. Abrasions to his right shin.

Name: Dawn Arlington 22 yr old female Laceration right knee. Superficial abrasion to left hand. Complaining of neck pain. RR 22; P 70, good volume. Good distal pulses.

Name: Maxwell Faries 45 yr old male. Clutching an infant. Bleeding abrasion on his left elbow. Good pulse distally. Normal ROM joint. No numbness. RR 22 P 60 Infant asleep in his arms

Name: Megan Faries (with Maxwell) 9 month old female twin sleeping comfortably in Dad’s arms Good air entry bilaterally. Abdomen soft. Pink and cooing with father

R 38; P 140, good volume

Name: Melody Faries 30 yr old female Clutching an infant. Bleeding from nose. She often gets nose bleeds. Deep bruises to her left leg. Good pulse distally. P60,good volume; RR 22; Infant asleep in her arms.

Name: Mark Faries (in Melody’s arms) 9 mth old male twin Infant lying quietly in Mom’s arms RR 32; P 140, normal volume. Good colour. Alert to surroundings. No evidence of trauma. Abdomen soft.

Name: Amanda LaKeyes 62 yr old female Lying on her side. Sobbing +++ Painful neck and right shoulder. Good distal pulse on right, has tingling down arm. RR 22, P 90
