'Roommate Searching' - Use this page to view suggested roommates, search roommate, request roommates or accept requested roommates. Note: Requesting or accepting a roommate who has 'Room Assigned' will not automatically place you in with that person. You must assign yourself to their room.

‘Room and Meal Plan Selection' – Students can use this page for a number of reasons. They can view available rooms, returning student can renew their current bed (within a designated time period) and they can search for and select a room in the Room Search Wizard. Students cannot select a room until they have been assigned a RANDOM timeslot by the lottery generator. The timeslot is sent to the student's MIX email address.

'Meal Plan Selection' - A meal plan is selected by logging into MyMountaineerCard. Specific information about meal plans, including prices, can be found under Dining Services on the Potomac State College website.

‘Rooms Available’ – lets you view only spaces which are available. You must select a hall, then it will display the floors which have vacancies. Select a floor and click Save & Continue. The next page will be Room Selection – Rooms Available. It will show every space in the hall and floor you selected. Click on the room and it will displays the beds which are still open. ‘Room Search Wizard’ works the same as ‘Rooms Available’ except you will reserve a room through the Wizard. NOTE: The 'M' or 'F' after the room number is the gender of the room.

Room Search Wizard – as stated in the previous slide, the steps to navigate through the ‘Room Search Wizard’ are the same as searching ‘Rooms Available’. The following slides go through each step of selecting a room. Selecting a building is the first step. Note: The Room Search Wizard is not available until you receive an email indicating that you have access.

‘Room Search Wizard’ – Floor Selection - The number under the bed type indicates how many spaces of a certain bed type are left on each floor.

‘Room Search Wizard’ – select a room. 'M' or 'F' after a room number indicates the gender of the room. The number after the gender indicates how many spaces remain in the room.

‘Room Search Wizard’ – selecting a bed is the last step. If selecting a room with a requested roommate, the student who sent the roommate request will place themselves in the room. The student then will be prompted to place the roommate in the other bed space. If the requested roommate already has 'Room Assigned', they will need to choose the 'Room Swap' option and place themselves in the other bed space.

Room Swap - used if you decide to change your intial room assignment. You will go through the same steps as you did in the 'Room Search Wizard'. Room swap is only available during the time that the system is open for self-selection.

‘Housing Preferences’ – this must be completed but, the information will only be used if you do not self-select a space for the upcoming academic year or if the system is turned off prior to you selecting. After making your selections click Save Housing Preferences & Continue.

‘Timeline Across the Top’ – make sure you are watching the timeline across the top of your pages. Putting the mouse over an item will help you to know when an item is opening.

‘Application Status’ at the top will display like in the screen shot below. It tells you the dates your application is legally bound, the room reservation details, and the occupancy information in the room/suite. It will list each specific person in the room or suite.

'Complete Application’ – Your Application is complete AFTER you click on ‘Complete Application’. Don't forget to check you MIX email address for an email regarding room selection.
