Environmental Considerations • The facility is to be designed with the objective of minimizing environmental impact
including minimizing emissions to air, land, and water while keeping consumption of energy (fuel gas and electricity) and fresh water to a minimum. • Additional environmental considerations included using leading on‐purpose PGP
production technology with the lowest environmental footprint. o Lowest CO2 and NOx emissions compared to other PDH technologies. o Lowest water make‐up rate and waste water emissions. o Spent catalyst is sent for platinum recovery and disposal. Platinum is stable and does not require special handling procedures. • Water supply will be purchased from Third Party. No intake from the North
Saskatchewan River proposed.
61
Key Project Milestones > Williams plan to file environmental applications to Provincial regulators in the
fall of 2013. > Public Consultation ongoing until fall of 2013. > Environmental Field Studies ongoing until fall of 2013. > Pending successful review and approval by regulatory authorities, site
preparation activities will commence in late 2013. > Construction commence in 2014, following receipt of approval from
regulatory authorities. > Anticipate facility to be operational by early 2016. 62
