Instructions for earrings and pendants 1

For the decorative ornaments, brush a little gold metallic powder into the FIMO accessoires push mould.

2

Then press a little gold FIMO effect into this gold-dusted FIMO accessoires push mould. Use the blade or kitchen knife to cut off any excess FIMO. This leaves the motif with an even, smooth back.

3

Cut the eyelet pins to size and press horizontally into the mould. Then demould the ornament – i.e. push it carefully out of the push mould from the back.

Cleaning: After use, wipe the mould clean using a damp cloth as traces of colour may otherwise show on subsequent colours (use FIMO to dab out any left-over bits). Then clean with soap and water. Tip: The use of metallic powder, talc or baby powder facilitates demoulding.

Instructions for the clock using image transfer 4

5

First print out the pattern sheet for the eyes and clock and cover all over with a thin layer of FIMO liquid. Please note: Do not leave any areas uncovered.

Cut the motifs out, place them on the baking tray, weigh them down with magnets or coins and harden in the oven at 130°C for approx. 20 minutes.

6

After hardening, allow the motifs to cool and then cut them out.

7 Cleaning: Clean dirty brushes and clothing with acetone or orange peel oil. Storage: Store FIMO liquid at room temperature and avoid contact with PVC or polystyrene.

TIP: Larger motifs should be weighed down while drying too in order to avoid rippling. Gently rub the paper off in lukewarm water. A thin layer may remain. Then leave to dry. 3

Instructions for the clock 9

8

For the clock, roll white FIMO out to an approx. 2 mm thick sheet. Roll half a strip of FIMO effect in metallic gold to make an approx. 2 mm thick length of string.

11

Brush around the edge with gold-coloured metallic powder.

10

Add a push mould ornament at the side and cut the whole object out with a kitchen knife.

Place the FIMO liquid image transfer onto the white sheet of FIMO and press on a little. Then position the golden FIMO string around it.

12

Next, thread the ring frames onto a bead-piercing needle and fill them with white FIMO. Place the imagetransferred eyes from steps 4 - 7 on top.

13

Cut an eyelet pin to size; stick it through the ring frame and into the edge of the clock at the top. It should at least extend to the middle of the pendant. Use FIMO liquid to stick hands on.

Hardening and finishing 14

Place the earrings and pendant on the baking tray and harden in the oven for approx. 30 minutes at 110°C.

15

Once cool, cover all FIMO elements with a coat of gloss varnish; this gives them an attractive shiny finish and protects them at the same time.

16

Finish off by threading the individual elements onto a chain together with tubes and beads. Assemble the earrings using one bead and one eye for each one.

Important: Please note the different hardening times and temperatures. FIMO soft = 110°C / 30 minutes FIMO liquid = 130°C / 20 minutes

Pattern sheet Steam punk is a new fashion trend which uses elements from steam and cogwheel drive mechanisms. Different FIMO liquid techniques can be used here, e.g. embedding, image transfer, colour effects. Simply use old watches, alarm clocks or other mechanical parts to craft totally new creations. There are no limits to what you can make.
