Environmental Reliability
Lighting application LED‟s lifetime is defined as when LED flux is down to 70% of initial flux. This measurement is done at laboratory with clean environment. In fact, LED stipulating 50,000hrs actually gets dark within 1 year in actual application. Maintaining the reliability under actual environment is Important, since lighting are used in various outdoor / indoor environment.
Thermal, UV-ray, and Gas in the environment are the causes of LED lifetime getting short. However, Stanley Lighting LED can overcome all of these obstacles. Lifetime over 170,000 hrs can be expected according to certain usage.
Environmental Reliability
Generally, lighting LED’s lifetime rapidly gets short by emit of their own heat. Regarding on 3J series, flux can be maintain for 50,000 hrs in LED die temperature, 130℃.

Environmental Reliability
Conventional LED has a weakness in dramatic luminous reduction by Sulfur components in atmosphere effecting the LED Ag reflection layer to sulfide (color blacken), and decreasing the reflectance. However, 3J LED has special coating to protect from Sulfide. Flux Change data by 3ppm-H2S(80deg.C/40%) Stanley J-pkg.

LED package discolor, and flux decline as reflectance decline. This is cause from the effect of UV-ray. 3J type avoid deterioration from UV-ray using ceramic package.

耐環境 信頼性 Technology
Generally, Ag are used at reflection layer. However, Ag has weakness of sulfide problem.
Stanley 3J type provides high reliability, high Ag reflectance by coating special layer on top of Ag layer.
