We facilitate dialogue and idea generation through in-depth and collaborative projects, combining co-design concepts, creativity, innovation, and multistakeholder perspectives. We offer innovative solutions for decisionmaking processes of public sector policies and strategies of enterprises, to improve the organizational effectiveness and management of meetings, team projects and group work. We use techniques and tools dedicated to the following activities: • Strategy Development / Scenario Testing and Visioning • Brainstorming ideas for the innovation of products / services / processes • Gap Analysis decision-making and problem • Grids for solving • Stakeholder perception studies and surveys We implement innovative co-design methods using a structured, organized and collaborative approach. Smart City | Social Innovation Portfolio
For the past 20 years we have developed and facilitated projects with the aim of creating Smart Cities by combining collaborative innovation methods, co-design concepts, and stakeholder engagement - all of which are key towards building Smart Cities. We have worked on 115 projects with local and regional public bodies, involving 30 companies and business networks of different ‘Smart’ fields. These include: - Urban Sustainability - Urbanism of wide areas - Green Economy - CSR and Regional Social Responsibility - Urban Governance We deliver strategic and cross sectoral activities in the field to deepen and stimulate new, sustainable, innovative and ‘Smart’ ideas. We have completed 40 theoretical and action research projects, surveys and field investigations. We work with various stakeholders on bespoke, as well as, pilot projects. Business Associations We have 20 years’ experience in environmental communications. We have managed 130 projects with public bodies, companies, business associations and non-profit associations using various communication tools to accompany and enhance policies, commitments and results of Green Economy and Sustainability projects. We offer products and services that incorporate bi-directional communication activities and stakeholder engagement approaches, tailoring the different communications channels based on the needs of the target audience. We combine our editorial and journalistic experience (membership to the Italian Order of Journalists since 1989), with the use of integrated multimedia tools to create: - Thematic guides - Sustainability and CSR Reports - Promotional videos - Websites Our method is to stimulate meaningful communication both off-line and on-line, using various facilitation techniques and animation tools: - Internal focus groups, multi-stakeholder workshops, forums - Surveys and interviews (see also Stakeholder Engagement - CoDesign section)

Training for Sustainability Portfolio
Over the past 20 years, we have organized training courses and lectures for more than 15 training institutions and 10 universities across Italy. We have used a wide variety of tools to discuss the subject matter, primarily focusing on Green Management, Sustainability and CSR. This has involved hundreds of officers, technicians, managers of public organizations and businesses, students of Master University programs and vocational training centers. Focus Lab has been the promoter of the School of Participatory Planning / Co-Design, which has involved 60 organizations nationwide in just a few years, and 230 participants from various countries. We offer training with extensive use of: •

EU Projects & Research Focus Lab’s approach is not only to supply technical and managerial expertise and solutions, but also to promote research of new approaches and studies that will contribute to the development of new innovative fields of work in Sustainability Policy, Green Economy, and CSR for public bodies and companies.
