IMPORTANT- DON’T LOSE YOUR FULL-TIME STATUS! Your full-time status is important for many purposes including: financial aid eligibility and housing eligibility. It is important that you always carry a minimum credit load: undergraduate students – 12 credits; graduate students – 9 credits. Waitlisted classes do NOT count as registered credits.
Full-Time to Part-Time If you are a full-time* student and wish to change your status to part-time — Submit the “Change of Status” form at the Office of Student Success located on the third floor of Voorhees. * Full-time status is determined at the end of the first week of classes. This date is indicated on the academic calendar as the last day to add classes. (See Carroll University Academic Calendar) THE LAST DAY TO CHANGE STATUS IS Tuesday, January 31, 2017. At this time if you are not registered for 12 or more credits you will be administratively changed to part-time status.
Part-Time to Full-Time If you are a part-time* student and wish to become full-time for the upcoming semester—
Contact the Admission Office, Voorhees 101.
*Status is determined at the end of the first week of classes. THE LAST DAY TO CHANGE STATUS IS Tuesday, January 31, 2017.

Closed Classes / Wait List: 1. You may add yourself to a course waitlist through Online Registration. 2. If a course that you wish to register for is full: i. You will be given a warning that indicates: ‘There are no seats available in this section.’ ii. You will have the opportunity to: 1. Add yourself to the waitlist using the ‘Add to Waitlist’ button 2. Cancel the action by clicking on the ‘Do not Add’ button 3. If a seat opens in one of your waitlisted courses and you are the first person on the waitlist, you will be given a course authorization to register for the course. You will be notified of the authorization via your Carroll University email address. You will have 48 hours to register for the class once this email has been sent. If you do not register for the class within the 48 hour window you will lose your position and be moved to the end of the waitlist. 4. Both the authorization email and Online Registration will indicate into which course(s) and what session you have been granted authorization to register. On Online Registration, check the ‘Waitlisted Courses’ section. The course(s) you have received authorization to add will now have a ‘Move to Current’ link listed to the left of the course(s). 5. To add a course: i. Select the appropriate session ii. Click on the ‘Move to Current’ link iii. Click the ‘Change Waitlisted to Current’ button on the new page that opens up 6. NOTES: i. You may not waitlist for a section of a course that you are already registered to take. ii. The Registrar’s Office stops working from the waitlist one week before classes start. If, you have not received an authorization by this time you will need to reach out to the instructor to request a course authorization to enroll into the class. iii. Add yourself to the course waitlist before requesting a Course Authorization from the course instructor. iv. Instructor Course Authorizations are granted on a first come first served basis, position on the original waitlist has no bearing on your chances of getting into the class once the Registrar’s Office has stopped adding students from the waitlist. v. There is no guarantee that the instructor will allow you to add to his/her class.
