What I Learned Most From Evangelist Mary Jenkins (aka Mama Jenkins) by Brenda Brim Krukow y mother says I notice everything. For instance, when I was four or five, we came home from church one Sunday and I asked, "Who was that woman in the pink-polka-dotted dress, with a white hat, white gloves, and a pink purse and shoes. She had two little boys. And they were wearing...." And on and on I went describing them. Through the years, I must admit I have learned sometimes the hard way (ouch) to temper this trait. But there are times when my powers of observation come in handy! For instance, when watching attentively one of the most unique people ever to cross our family's path—Evangelist Mary Jenkins (aka Mama Jenkins.) Having the utmost respect for God and Mama, I will not disclose the most personal things. Nevertheless, everything about her made me smile. Her wit. Her laugh. Her voice. Her energy. Her authority. Her determination. And last but certainly not least, her canes which she named. Esther was my favorite. Her latest was George! From the first time I saw Mama (Spring 2002) to the last (November 2011), her life communicated the same message, verbally and nonverbally: COMPLETE OBEDIENCE TO THE LORD.1 I will never forget the first time I meet her. I had heard many things about her (from my mom, Shelli, and Chip) and was

You obeyed His instruction." "Mama, some people are afraid of you," I said recently before her death. "I was for a long time until I got to know you." "I am stern," she said matter of factly. "I learned this from my Evangelist Mary (Mama) Jenkins February 8, 1909 - November 24, 2011 spiritual father. He was hard on Photo taken November 2, 2011 me!" She loved to tell about the first time she met my brother, Chip. He was a new preacher, just having left the sports world as a successful baseball coach. He was preaching in New England. A coven of witches came to stop the meeting. Mama helped him in the spirit. She would end the story with a deep chuckle, "Chip sure does know how to stir up them witches." When I was with Mama, I would often admire her hands. They looked much younger than her many years. Her fingers were long and beautiful! She performed many creative miracles with those hands, in particularly her left hand. This was the hand that had a stronger creative power anointing. My favorite miracle account she told was about a woman receiving two new kidneys. Directed by the Lord (with all the moment by moment instructions) she went to a hospital room and laid her hands on a back; the person was facing the wall so she did not know if it was a man or woman. She felt two knots came out of her hand. Later, in the wee hours of the morning, Mama received a call from the hospital asking her if she was Evangelist Mary Jenkins. Her travel companion had signed "Evangelist Mary Jenkins, their hotel name, and the time, about 7:15 p.m., on the guest list. The doctors came to her hotel and said the patient's kidneys 4

Mama, little did we know how close you were to that heavenly rain. And I believe that just as your birth was prophetic, your death is a time marker to the former and latter rain outpouring combined—the Word and the Spirit together! (from a prophecy by Smith Wigglesworth.) I love you, Evangelist Mary Jenkins! I will see you at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, as I am almost positive you are helping the angels prepare for it!

YOUTUBE, Harvest Project International, Mama Jenkins, Maine 2001, with Shelli Manual, Billye Brim, and Shelli Oaks. 2 This was Mama's nickname at age four when Wigglesworth met her father. Her father worked for a construction company that built bridges across oceans. While working in England, her father went to Scotland for supplies and, being delayed by the tide, he decided to go to a revival meeting. After a wrong turn, he went to another place where Smith Wigglesworth was preaching. Wigglesworth asked about his children. He said he had three. Wigglesworth said, "No, you have four. Your wife gave birth four days ago to a daughter named Birdell." He had forgotten (working long, hard hours) that his wife was seven months pregnant when he left for England. Then Wigglesworth asked about his third child, Mary-Cutie. He said, "Quit spanking her when she comes to you and tells you things. She is not lying. She is hearing from God. Listen to what she says." Wigglesworth then asked to meet her when he came to the States. This happened when she was seven and began her being mentored by him throughout the years. 3 YOUTUBE, Harvest Project International, Mama Jenkins, Maine 2001, with Shelli Manual, Billye Brim, and Shelli Oaks 4 Ibid.

BUBBA’S CORNER

The Adventures of Bubba and Shep by DORIS ANN BYRD hat do Bubba and Shep have in common with the Prayer Mountain Prayers? They are both watchers. Sister Billye recently had a teaching on "watching" for the pray-ers. We learned that pray-ers, and angels are watchers—even demons are watching for weaknesses and words that will give them place. Brother Hagin used to say, "Watch and pray." Men kept watches all through the Bible. In Daniel we see the angelic watches. George Washington would shoot a soldier who went to sleep on his watch. The outcome of a nation often depends on a faithful watcher. How do Bubba and Shep fit in with the solemn repercussions of a sentry keeping or not keeping his watch? They are true watchers. When the employees arrive in the morning the watchers are checking their time, who it is, and if they need to meet them at their cars with tails wagging. Madeline and Doris Ann are usually the first to arrive with Paul close behind. They know the sound of Madeline's car; when she comes, they are on their feet meeting and greeting her. She talks with them all the way into the building and then out comes the box of treats. They love to meet and greet Barbara Joy. She has been known to slip into the box for a little special treat for them. Randy and Sue sometimes have leftovers they will share, but they will always give Bubba and

Shep smiles and greetings. Jan talks to them friend to friend. She has told them they need to begin believing that they can be in heaven with their family. She told them the story of FF Bosworth who was getting ready to go on to glory. He was getting glimpses of Heaven and saw his old horse, Bonnie. He asked God about it and was told that pets who have been loved will be in Heaven with their family. That is now their favorite story. Cassie greets them with a smile and talk of the day's work. They are careful to help Jeri get into the office while she visits with them. Phyllis works in the building where their home with food and water and love abounds. They kind of think she must be part of the family. As new employees are added to the staff they have to get Bubba and Shep's approval. Even though lying in the sun and sleeping and dreaming of chasing rabbits and being the champion dog of all time is their favorite pastime, they always are aware when a car drives up and who it is and what their business is. Terry tells the story of fishing on Bull Shoals Lake one night. The fog came in and there was no way off the lake and on to home safely except for by his GPS. He had to trust it like a

pilot has to trust his equipment. While he was coming home and trusting the GPS, Bubba and Shep were waiting for him. They are the ones who stay with the "stuff" while he goes out to battle, enjoying his favorite pastime –fishing. While waiting Bubba tells Shep, you just have to be patient. He is using that new GPS System. He knows how to use it, and he is faithful to us. Keep your eyes open and watch! He is going to find his landing place when he sees four eyes shining in the light. Those eyes are ours. Keep Awake! Then Bubba pulled out his strongest weapon to help keep Shep from dozing off before Terry arrived. He quoted Ephesians 5:14. Awake O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall shine and make the day dawn upon you and give you light. Shep knew his responsibility: keep his eyes wide open. He said he was willing and obedient to faithfully keep watch. Pray-ers, we need to be watching. We need to know what time it is and the lateness of the hour. Remember the words Jesus spoke to his disciples? Could you not watch and pray with me for one hour? God will go as far as He can in protecting his children. We must keep awake; we must watch over our families, our counties, our states, and over our nation with prayer. We must give God our words and prayers so He can have something to work with. We must make the most of the time and firmly grasp what is the will of the Lord (Eph.5:17).

MINISTRY NEWS

Deeply Appreciated Goes on Her First Mission

Family, staff, and pray-ers gathered at the Branson airport on December 8, 2011 to join Sister Billye in dedicating and praying over the new ministry plane before she left on her first mission to Mama Jenkins Homegoing. We are thankful to God for the obedience of His handmaiden who gave the airplane last year to "carry" God's Messenger, Billye Brim, across America. When the plane was first presented to Sister Billye, the Lord gave Brother Kenneth Copeland a word of knowledge from the Lord. The Lord said He “deeply appreciated” Billye Brim's obedience to Him. When she looked up, she saw that there was "DA" on the plane's tail numbers. The ministry was then blessed by Brother Copeland, who helped get "Deeply Appreciated" into top flying shape. Cody Oaks, Billye Brim's grandson, is the pilot.

PRAYER MOUNTAIN TESTIMONIES

Miracle Manifested at the Mountain write to fulfill my word to Terry Brim after the Monday prayer meeting on the Mountain in November (2011). After that meeting concluded, my fellow pray-ers and I took chairs and sat under a tree to pray a few personal prayers for our local body. When I raised my head and opened my eyes, my vision was perfectly clear and focused to the beautiful horizon. I had been declared legally blind at age 10, with 2300 vision in each eye, which got worse as I grew up. At first I could read without glasses but at 43 I had to start wearing tri-focals and needed three prescriptions at all times. A few years ago the Lord let me know it would please Him if I would believe Him for healing in my eyes. Eventually I did, believing for perfect vision in both eyes. Prayer Mountain was my first manifestation of the completion. Since then, I have passed the NC Driver's License vision test with no corrective lenses, so I have documentation of the miracle! There is much more to tell but for another day. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Praise to the Mighty and God Most High God and our Lord Jesus Christ! Delita Wright, Raleigh, NC
