You’ve Got the Power of Love by Charles Curcio
As a child of God you possess many powers and abilities. Divine Self Sufficiency, love in expression, is the source of all of our spiritual gifts. Divine Self Sufficiency insures that each of us has everything we need within to evolve, to express, and to become our true divine person. You have a number of powers that you can and do use, sometimes without realizing them. But the great majority of these abilities is unknown or unexpressed by the average person, and cannot be accessed and developed unless one makes a direct connection with their Higher Self. This is accomplished through meditation, which can be as simple as finding a quiet space for yourself, relaxing and breathing naturally and rhythmically, and asking your Higher Self to connect with you. It operates much like the computer principle of downloading. If you don’t make the connection, you can’t receive the download. And although these abilities are inherent in every human being to varying degrees, they must be discovered, developed, refined, and expressed. As a spiritual being trying to be human, you have many gifts. Often people ask me the question, “Are you Psychic?”, to which my reply is, “Sure, aren’t you?”. The puzzled look on some of their faces tells the story. Some people have psychic abilities that just pour out of them. But most of us have to develop them. Here’s a list of the fundamental gifts of the Divine, abilities we all possess to varying degrees. 1. The Power of the Word 2. The Power of Thought 3. The Power of Intention 4. The Power of Visualization 5. The Power of Imagination 6. The Power of Manifestation 7. The Power of Invocation 8. The Power of Intuition 9. The Power of the Breath

10. The Power of Healing 11. The Power of Creation 12. The Power of Love “In the Beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word is God” (John 1:1). This is the very first line from the Book of John which illustrates its significance. One of the most significant of your spiritual abilities is the use of your voice, the Power of the Word. The word, or sound vibration, is the fundamental creative energy. It is sound vibration that set off light and color, and it is sound vibration that first caused matter to form, and then to take up regular shapes and patterns to provide for the future life forms that would ultimately be manifested on earth. The Word is made manifest in the material worlds. Sound vibration is also a most significant and powerful healing energy because it causes matter to reform itself into patterns of harmony. Sound can also be damaging if used in the wrong way. In human relationships, the power of the word is an energy that should be used wisely and responsibility. The Christ taught that what comes out of your mouth is far more significant than what goes into it. The Buddha taught that, before you say anything to another, ask yourself these three questions: Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind? If what one is about to say does not meet these three conditions, it is better left unsaid. Delphi founder Patricia Hayes has demonstrated the power and effect of the word so succinctly in giving us this simple truth; “The words I chose create you for me” The words I choose create you for me. If I were to hurt another with my words, chances are good I would have remade them into something far less than what I could have created with positive or even no expression. Even when someone makes a pronouncement like, “I’ll never be happy”, their words will create their reality. And once the words are said, no matter what they are, it is almost impossible to take them back or undo their effect. Each and every thing and life form that exists is the result of spiritual thought and expression. The material worlds are composed of the thoughts of higher beings, 3

the vibration of which has been stepped down and condensed until they manifest into physical form. God and his many manifestations are thinking the Universe into greater expression and form as you read this. So are you. The Power of Thought is the energy that begins and expands everything. A rose is a thought of God made manifest. All things begin/began with a thought. God, and each of us, creates with our thoughts. Each time you have a thought, you create a conscious, invisible thoughtform whose only purpose is to follow the will of their creator. Idle or random thoughts have little energy and soon dissipate. Strong, reinforced thoughts, particularly those fueled by desire and which are expressed continuously, become active entities which seek out and attract to them energies that are like themselves. Consistency and desire is what differentiates powerful and enduring thoughtforms from their weaker brethren. Your thoughts are the creator of your world and your life. When you want to create something, you follow your thoughts with the Power of Intention. Intention is the act of putting your thoughts into action. Desire is the fuel that energizes intention. When God decided to experience Himself and move into expression, He came out of the void and placed His thoughts into motion. Everything we know is the result of this fundamental activity. In your intention, be clear, be consistent, and be focused. Intention is one of the most powerful forces in the Universe. To place your intention into motion, you must “image” and visualize what it is you want. These are your next two powers: The Power of Imagination and The Power of Visualization. I speak of these two in combination, because that’s exactly how they work. The imagination is a wonderful energy. Without it, we would still be in the void. Often, when people are waking up to their psychic abilities, they feel like they’re making things up. That’s because the information comes easily. That’s what it’s supposed to do, to come easily. This is our natural state. The imagination is a divine energy that has the same source and comes from the same place as your abilities of clairvoyance (seeing), clairsentience (feeling), and clairaudience (hearing). Look at all the

creations in the modern world that have first been imaged or imagined and then have been materialized into form. Once you have imagined something, the next step is to visualize it and fuel it with your desire. If you can “see” or “image” it, you can create it. Your Imagination is a wonderful gift of God. Use it to create what you want your life to be. From these beginnings the Power of Manifestation flows. Focus, concentration, and consistency are the engines of manifestation. Clear thoughts, strong desires (particularly spiritual ones), good intentions, and creations based in love are the hallmarks of great manifesters. Combining the power of your thoughts, your imagination, seeing or visualizing what you want, your high and clear intention, and most importantly your love, will result in you becoming a manifester of the highest order. Be clear and be consistent in your intentions. Keep asking until it happens. I like to ask for what I can give to others. This is a surefire way to successful invocation and manifestation. An adjunct to the power of the word is the Power of Invocation. All of us have the power to invoke those higher spiritual energies to assist us with our mission, our purpose, and our expression on earth. To access these spiritual energies you must invoke them or simply ask them to come. This is particularly true when working in healing and helping others. One of the things we teach at Delphi is invocation using the Divine Names of God in Hebrew. Hebrew is not a language of the earth, but rather, it’s a divine language, the vibration of creation, given to Abraham by Archangel Michael. In Hebrew, God is called or named after His attributes of which He has many. But the Hebrew names of God are far more than names; they are divine thoughtforms which, when resonated properly, create and bring through the energy and vibration of the name itself. For instance, the true name of Jesus is Yahoshua which means God or “Yah” delivers. In the Bible, the Christ instructed his followers to “ask anything of the Father in my name and He will give it to you”. The name is Yahoshua, the vibration of which creates the energy of God delivering to you.

As an empowered spiritual being you possess the Power of Intuition, the ability to tune into or to know things that ordinary people can’t. Of course, this is a misconception. Everyone has this ability and all of us use it to varying degrees. How many of us have found ourselves in a situation that didn’t “feel right”, or experienced something that “smelt fishy”; or just made you feel uncomfortable. Perhaps you felt that something unknown was going to happen and you “just knew” that it would. This power, the Power of Intuition is inherent in every human being in varying degrees and different levels of development. To see, to feel, to hear, to discern, to know, and to express spiritually is our divine heritage. Many of these abilities were incorporated into our developing physiology during the Ancient Sun phase of our development, long before we arrived on earth. Your highest and natural state is that of an all-knowing being. Trust your feelings and “tune in” to the circumstances in your life or the lives of others. Ask your Higher Self to assist you in all you do. One of the first attributes we developed in our prehuman journey was the ability to breathe. This occurred on Ancient Saturn, and it was a breathing in and out of fire. Air was not yet present. Through this breathing process we were able to project a part of ourselves into matter, creating a duality, of being present both in the physical and in Spirit at the same time. This set the stage for the future incarnation of the human being. On the Ancient Sun we breathed in light and were able to breathe out this light wherever we directed it. Today we use the Power of the Breath in all of our spiritual and psychic activities whether that is healing, meditation, psychic readings, counseling, or astral travel. We access spiritual energy called prana through our breath. If one wants to make a connection in meditation and enter into altered states of consciousness, one does so through rhythmic breathing. If one wants to bring through information, the information is in the energy, the prana, and is accessed through the breath. So one only has to breathe in with the intention of gaining this information. Channeling healing energy works in the same way. Through the breath, we can both receive and send energy, even over great distances. Any one of us can be a healer, a

reader, a therapist, or a counselor, and channel or bring through the energies of love, light, and healing. We do this through intention and the breath. One simple exercise you can use in everyday life is to breathe in what you want, and breathe out what you don’t. For instance, you can breathe in the energy of patience and breathe out impatience, or you can breathe in love and breathe out fear. Just intending to release what doesn’t serve your needs and intending to embody what does, begins the process of permanent healing. This is an example of how two of your spiritual powers, breath and intention, can work together. Breathe with intention, and relax when you do it. There’s God-Force energy in the breath. Perhaps one of the greatest gifts bestowed upon man by God is the Power of Healing, the power and ability to help others. The Christ told us that we would do greater things than he did, and he actively engaged his disciples in his healing ministry. I have experienced incredible healers, and I have experienced many incredible things myself in my own healing work including healing the sick, raising the dead, and releasing discarnate entities. When you ask to be used as a channel of love, light, and healing, God will use you. You will find yourself doing things with results you could have only imagined. And you will discover that you have a lot of spiritual helpers working to assist you in your healing work. When you serve God, God serves you. Every healing is a successful one, even when the person may not receive exactly that for which they asked or expected. A person can receive only what they are able to receive. Even the Christ had many people that weren’t ready to receive his love and healing power. But everyone receives something significant in every healing session. The ability to heal ourselves and the contributions of spiritual healers will become more and more significant and essential as this New Day unfolds. Anyone who desires to serve God can ask for and receive God’s healing energies which they can bring through for the healing of themselves and others. As Patricia Hayes has so eloquently stated: “The only hands, the only eyes, the only heart that God has on earth are yours and mine” 5

Just like your Father/Mother God, you have the Power of Creation. You are the creator of your life. Most of this happens unwittingly as we are mostly unaware of this fact and how things really work. If there is something you want to create, be clear in your intention. It begins with the energy of Will, the same as God the Father. God creates with His thoughts, and so do you. What follows next is the Plan, the activity of the Christ aspect of God. And then comes the work, the work of the Divine Mother/Holy Spirit of actually bringing things into material form. You are just like your true parents, a creator of your life and your world. These are the fundamental steps for manifesting what you want: 1. Decide what it is you want to create and be clear. See and imagine it in your mind’s eye. 2. Say what it is you want to create – use the power of the creative word 3. Feel it – feel how much you want it. Let your desire prime the fire. 4. Write it down – this takes your thought and feeling and brings it into physical form. 5. See it complete – In your mind’s eye, don’t see it coming in stages, but rather see it fully completed. 6. Feel how good it makes you feel to have it completed – this is the fire that fuels the creation 7. Ask for help 8. Do the work – In any plan, your energy is critical to completion. Do anything and everything you can to see it through. God will do his part and you must too. 9. Persevere. Be consistent. Never quit. 10. Give thanks each day for the gifts of God, even for your tests and challenges which help you to discover and become who you really are. Gratitude is the energy that keeps God’s gifts flowing to you. Do the above steps often and consistently for best results. Finally, I want to talk to you about the one thing that truly matters, for if you access and embody this energy, everything else will fall into place. What I’m talking about is true power, the power of being, of life, of God, the Power of Love. There is only love. Everything else is an illusion. In the Bible there contains only one brief description of God, given to us by the Apostle John. In

his most elegant and humble fashion, the disciple tells us simply that “God is love”. No truth is simpler or more profound than this. All of the energies, all of the powers, all of creation matters not, without love. As the Apostle Paul said so eloquently, “And if I have the gift of prophecy and am acquainted with all the sacred secrets and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing”. The essence of God, the essence of creation, the essence of you is love. Nothing else matters. When you can look into the heart of each and every thing and see there God present, then you will truly know the meaning of love. Love has only one purpose, to fulfill itself. Love has the power to heal, to inspire, to enlighten, and to bring God fully present into the world, and into each of us. Allow your love, God’s love, to direct your life and your purpose. Allow your love to flow to others, and most importantly, to yourself. Only in love will you find happiness and peace, and your true Self. As those masters from Liverpool expressed so profoundly, “All you need is love”. May God’s love shine in your life and in all that you do. Excerpted from The New Day ©2012

Since Adam and Eve ... By Janice Hayes
It's the old story. Boy meets girl, they fall in love. But boy is not focused on feeling and love and relationships. He's into doing and getting and becoming powerful. She is into relationships, but she has no strength of her own. She collapses at every test life brings. And when she isn't collapsing, she is ruling, a sexy, earth mother tyrant against whom no man (or woman) can stand. The ending of this story isn't pretty, but it is predictable. Change the names, faces, times and places and the story continues. The battle between He and She is ageless and eternal. But it is necessary. In the Mysteries of the Male/Female class, students learn exactly why this battle is both necessary and why it must end. Through story and myth, we learn the psychological and spiritual development of the male and female energies. This understanding sheds a lot of light onto all kinds of relationships. The "ahas" are audible and frequent, as is the nervous laughter when students recognize not only their personal relationships, but more importantly, their internal relationship between their own male and female energies. We asked one class: What is the most significant thing you learned? Here are their answers:

The most profound insight was how complete I felt with the unity and blending of the male/female energies. I am feeling whole for, really, the first time. Understanding my female, acceptance of her and joining with her were important. Loving her deeply is loving myself. And I learned to understand women. I never understood them because I didn't understand myself. Now I can identify, even as a woman, when I am in the Red Knight (power) mood and change it to one of love. Having male and female balance within is important. It doesn’t do any good to run from conflict. Running only increases the distance between the male and female. To deny one side of self will not allow self to move forward freely. I discovered how I was denying my female's desire for full feeling; how my male was stuck in self-sacrifice. The result was a fire-less existence, not dead, but not fully living. I understand what makes us work and how to identify where others and myself are "coming from" and to help others and myself get back on track. Now, the boy-meets-girl scenario takes on new meaning and new depth. From the Mysteries of the Male/Female class, doors to solid, real, trustworthy internal and external relationships are thrown wide open.
My male energy is tired and really needs to be loved and forgiven and my female has been terrified! I spent 30 years in my male Red Knight (male power) energy!. My male energy has dominated my female energy and this has caused a lot of pain for me and others. Now, I have been able to experience my fragmented self become more whole. I am the embodiment of love and I am whole in my love. It is time to express that Love of God, to let others see and remember their own aliveness. This brought up my "invisible female" that I have been working on and it was very healing for me to see and work through it. I learned I can respond lovingly to my internal divine male as well as the external men in my life that I love. I could not feel the connection between spirit and matter. My three lower chakras were connected and my four upper chakras were connected, but there was no connection between the third and fourth chakras. After this class, I feel the connection with all my chakras. I can feel and understand with all my heart the idea of bringing spirit into matter.

Introducing Delphi University’s New Certification and Degree Internship Entura Spiritual Art Program

Delphi University is excited about introducing a new program of spiritual study, the Entura Spiritual Art Program. Entura Art has been taught in various ways throughout the many years of Delphi’s existence. The concept of Entura art was first channeled by Patricia Hayes in the early seventies. Entura development continued to progress dramatically and is now an invaluable method to develop spiritually and also to enhance one’s ability to help others. Entura Art is now a full certification and degree program offering a B.A. and M.A. Degree, along with the RoHun and Metaphysician programs, at Delphi. We are excited to provide individuals with another “path” for spiritual development. On behalf of all the staff, we welcome and embrace this new and refreshing Entura Art program that will enhance greater spiritual knowledge and understanding for all those who come to Delphi! What Is Entura Art Entura means: 'Enter the energy field.’ The Entura artist enters the energy field of their subject and then channels the energy of the subject through color and motion onto paper. The subject could be love, harmony, wisdom, meditation, or a person. The artist then studies their drawing to learn more about their subject. In essence, invisible things become visible through this method of channeling; whether it is a person requesting information or a subject that the artist wants to know

more about. ~Patricia Hayes The eye is our window to the universe. There is no other sense we so profusely associate with the human experience than our inner and outer sight; our eyes reveal the alchemical phases of the mystery of life and of the universe through symbols. Internal and external symbols, the universe, and the world around us has often baffled, exhilarated, and inspired us throughout the eras. The Birth and Development of the Entura Artist To become an Entura Artist, one does not need to have any art experience. Individuals who are artists are taught how to transcend beyond personal or traditional methods of drawing and painting to create mystical impressions. Through the utilization of Entura Art techniques, the mystical artist within awakens. ; thus, allowing the soul and spirit genius of the person to guide the artist’s hand with her or his inner sight, inner hearing, intuition and sensitivity. A symbolic creation is the result. The Entura Artist becomes a vehicle for communication, healing, and growth through non-verbal as well as verbal expression. The artist can help people reconcile emotional conflicts and expand self-awareness. This expertise and the techniques can be applied to individuals, couples, families, groups, places and things; past, present or future. The Entura Artist can work with children, adolescents, and adults to uncover unconscious or emotionally charged feelings that may be impossible to access by verbal means alone. The visual medium of the art provides an avenue for symbolic and metaphoric expression that can lead to a deeper understanding of personality, inner experiences, concerns, interest and other critically important facets of feelings and life experiences. As the Entura Artist channels authentic truths the art may lead the artist down a sundry of corridors to seek 9

and discern the mysterious communication of the spheres; thereby, clearly concluding that all souls seek the same light of awareness. Art unifies us all to reveal and understand God's iconic memorandum; this is the universal language that touches the souls of all who listen to and feel the strokes and color of motion, while extracting the messages of truth that are imprinted upon the ethers. Entura Art is a Transpersonal Art; it is nothing like traditional art. You don’t have to know how to draw at all. In the beginning stages, you learn to channel the subject with your eyes closed to insure you don’t attempt to draw. The images revealed provide confirmation that you are accurately channeling. A fascinating aspect of this art from the heart is that it is not unusual for images to appear overnight in a channeled drawing. Many people have shared that faces have continued to appear in their soul portrait for up to a year. Entura Art nourishes both the heart and mind. The mind is curious to see what the heart is creating. The heart is fulfilled through the creation.
Entura Spiritual Art Program Entura Spiritual Art – A Transpersonal Art Therapy First, what does Transpersonal mean? Transpersonal means observing what is beyond our Mask, the Persona, or ego (or lower three chakras) that are the essentials of one’s soul and spirit and our genetic and transcendent connections to the cosmos. A Transpersonal Art Therapist provides enlightenment and opportunities for healing on all levels of a client or a group using spiritual symbols, exercises, color and various art tools (pastels, paint, pencils, etc.) that guides one directly to the Divine source of one’s being to find meaning. The processes and techniques used by the therapist bypasses the critical factors of rational thinking and mind chatter and tunes one into their creative and intuitive side. The art serves as a record of the events the individual has been exploring. The therapist helps the individual expand upon the images and symbols that arise and the

meaning relating to the issues or intent of the client. The client can then reflect on their artwork and understand their life or a situation or event with greater clarity. Below is a brief description of the first four workshops in our new program. In the back of this issue of The Delphi Journal, is a listing of classes required for a Bachelor and Master of Arts Degree.
Entura Art I The medium of soft pastels, are used as the catalyst to access the energy field of a person, place or thing and to transmit communications onto paper. Interpretation of the pastel colors and motion provide the Entura Artist with spiritual, psychological, and physical information about the subject that is drawn. Because Entura Art is energy in movement, many of the figures that appear on the canvas change from time to time. At one moment, you may be looking at a girl with long hair. In the next moment, another face or being appears and overshadows the first. Entura Art processes teach you how to look for the unapparent, which naturally increases your power of observation in the natural world. It is an excellent method for individuals studying metaphysical, esoteric, and spiritual subjects. Numerous answers are provided through this method of creative art.
Entura Art II Is designed to expand and refine the Entura Artist’s abilities. The intern is taught progressive techniques to expand color and movement to facilitate the symbolic language flowing from the soul, which activate the processes of art from the heart. As specific and advanced methods are utilized, beautiful colors and shapes flow through the artist and begin to form detailed images of what is within the energy field of the selected person or concept. All the various colors and movements in the drawing take on a deeper meaning and provide expanding knowledge about what the artist is transferring.

attunements are performed to assist the Entura Artist with accessing a higher electromagnetic frequency through the use of a graphical symbol containing optical waves of light. Danielle’s Kiss For instance, I worked with one woman in her 50’s whose daughter had died tragically in a car accident a few weeks after her college graduation. She could not let go of her grief and anger over the loss of her only child. She felt God had forsaken both her daughter and herself. She longed daily for a sign or sense of a connection still to her daughter yet meditation was not an option for her as she felt too angry, fearful and guilty to quiet her mind. She no longer went to church because she was too angry with God. I worked with this woman for 2 years with little improvement in her severe depression and anger. One day she brought in a picture of her daughter that was taken shortly before her death and asked if it was indeed possible to connect with her daughter to see if she was okay and what her daughter wanted her to know. I took the photograph home with me over the following Easter weekend. It took only a few moments to connect with Danielle's energy and the chalks moved rapidly over the paper. Immediately, a young woman appeared in the center of the paper in a tea-length scarlet dress with one short sleeve and one bare shoulder holding what appeared to be a bouquet of flowers in her right hand. When I looked more closely I was concerned that the flowers appeared to be lilies - which I thought would remind my patient of death. I even hesitated to show the artwork to her for fear that it would only upset her more. However, I did pull out the artwork at the end of the next session with the grieving mother. She immediately gasped and said: "Oh my God! That is Danielle in the dress that she wore to her high school prom!!" Then she saw the flowers and began to cry "Only Danielle and her father knew that we were married on Easter Sunday and that I walked down the aisle with a bouquet of lilies instead of roses.... and Danielle always gave me a bouquet of lilies for Easter!" She began laughing and crying for joy. I told her I had actually sat down to do the artwork on Easter Sunday.

Dear Judy, It is almost a week since our graduation from In-depth Channeling at Delphi. I hate to use this overused expression - but it truly has been life changing for me and for my husband Rich also. Dear Steve, It will be a week tomorrow that we graduated from Indepth Channeling at Delphi. I wanted to write and thank you for the part that you personally played in my own growth and blossoming. The morning meditations continue with your own soft voice guiding us each day since we got home. We downloaded the five meditations and are committed to rising at 7am, practicing an hour of silence and then from 8 - 9am we listen to your voice lead us on guided meditations. It has been a comfort to retain that connection to Delphi thru your voice since we returned home to the real world. The changes in both myself and Rich are profound and deep. They are permanent because after all the growth and expansion there is no going back to who we were before Delphi. Who would want to after experiencing this connection to divinity and flawless guidance, the ability to help/heal others and the new found love within ourselves. It was fortunate that I was scheduled for a Psychic Fair at a Spiritualist Church on 8/15 and I had exactly 5 readings. I would like to share a story with you (there I go again). A woman came to me that day for a reading. She looked familiar, but I couldn't figure out where I knew her from. It turns out that when I had given a presentation there at a Sunday service a few months before, she came up to me after I gave the message part of the service. She told me then that she was very upset because she was told she had cancer and would probably need a mastectomy. I told her that I knew how hard that must be because I had to have a mastectomy many years ago myself. She was crying and I hugged her. Spirit blurted out of my mouth, "You are not going to need a mastectomy and you probably don't even have cancer." I am always disturbed a little when that happens because I have absolutely no warning. As an RN, I do have to be careful re what I say. Of course, I told her she must continue with her tests, etc. Well, she told me that, as things turned out, she did not need a mastectomy and in fact did not have cancer. She had "atypical dysplasia" which are cells that mimic cancer. We both started laughing and crying and did a little dance of joy. I did a private reading a couple of days ago and I know that my ability has increased to a level I never expected. This is healing work for my clients and for me! The woman called me the next day to tell me how tremendously healing the experience was for her. I will be back in Oct to take the three courses that will complete the first level. I want to go all the way to the Ph.D and ordination, and I would like to complete it as quickly as possible, and as quickly as Spirit will guide me. At some point, I would like to talk with you about the curriculum and the best way to plan it out. Our group was so special, loving, and supportive. We are in contact via e mail, FB, texting. Some very strong bonds have been formed. Once again, thank you for your wonderful guidance, teaching, and your generous, loving spirit. The Temple of Healing is a place where people from all walks of life and all levels of spiritual understanding can experience God's love, light, and healing. A 5-sided pyramid that is over 50 feet tall, the temple will support up to ten healers working simultaneously. Our vision is to provide a permanent sanctuary of love, light, and healing that will endure. Because of its steel girder construction, the Temple will exist for many years to come. Our hearts intention is to create a permanent facility, environment, and legacy to share God’s love, light and healing energy with all who want to receive it, and to acknowledge all those who have contributed to its creation. In Memoriam of Steve Sloan Hi Patricia, Wanted to let you know Steve passed away last night. It was so peaceful and our children and I were with him. At one point when I asked him what he was doing in there, he said he was meditating and heard chanting. We did the transition bridge with him and he intended to go to his space he created on the mountain. He talked about the grace of God several times as he was dying. It was very beautiful. Dawn is coming to do his service. Looking forward to Entura. Love you, Nancy
Hi Patricia, I wanted to briefly tell you that Steve is declining. He sleeps more; he has edema in his lower extremities and arm. He is slow and a little confused. He also has that smell of cancer. I don't know how long he has in life but I don't see it as more than weeks? He's not actively dying but that time is near. He walks a little but is very spacey. Sometimes I have to go sleep in another room in order to get back to sleep. Then energetically I see him at my bedside. He's just been walking around and wanted to check on me. Love, Nancy

Books, the Unspoken Words By Marshall Smith
Books have a mysterious nature. They lie quietly; unobtrusively holding somewhere between inviting covers, words describing beautiful moving experiences or great knowledge awaiting the expectant reader. Yes, someone else wrote the words but they sometimes describe a world not yet experienced by me, but let’s me know that it can be. To visit a library is a moving and almost sacred environment. Quiet, very quiet; books everywhere, stacks and stacks, each by someone who wanted to say something about their lives, knowledge or perhaps just a small entertaining ditty. Books in their very essence represents freedom. The freedom to be as one is, the freedom to speak in written form whether someone is listening or not. Freedom can be fleeting, brightly shining one moment, gone the next. Books provide a social leveling. People can be hushed or eliminated but books remain, quietly speaking. In our ancient and recent history the tyrant or tyrants fully understand the power of the written word and early in their acquisition of power usually involved the burning of unapproved books and control of the spoken and written word. It seems almost everyone at some time in their life wants to write a book. And…it is true that everyone has life experience and knowledge that if shared would benefit others. However, most find after completing the third or fourth page of a fledgling book the words no longer flow so easily and the desire to continue seems to weaken considerably. For most it usually takes a near lifetime of accumulated life experience to adequately fill a book that others would benefit and enjoy. An avid reader since my early teen years; one of my most memorable and enjoyable experiences of my early life was sitting in my mother’s rocking chair reading a great book from my high school library. My family was very church oriented and thus early in my life I was introduced to the Bible. Little did I know that this experience would guide me into a lifetime of spiritual study. It remains by far the most influential book of all books I have ever read and studied. It still is a constant companion. Over the years I have benefited from reading the writings of many great authors. I have found that greatness sometimes does not mean profound in terms of what is needed for one’s life. Some of the most profound books written by authors, few people have heard of. On one occasion in a bookstore I noticed a book on top of a book rack lying by itself. Only a tall person such as me could reach it. I immediately knew I had to have it. When I pulled it down it glued itself to my hand and I knew I was to purchase the book. It was by an author I had never heard of before that time. It was a book that later greatly influenced my writings on Spiritual Anatomy. Many of the authors I find most helpful are the more foundational writers of fifty to a hundred years ago. Some of their information provided in these books is unavailable anywhere else and it is evident that the authors are speaking from first-hand experience. It is true that one must be patient in reading these books. Many of them are written in an English language style not spoken today. Others are translations from foreign languages and from recordings of speeches, all of which makes it difficult some times to understand. However, with patience comes a great reward. Over the years, there have been books that I know I should have read and somehow knew that someday I probably would read them. One such book has seemed over the years to “peel and wink” at me. It would be lying somewhere in our house, at a bookstore at Delphi, on Patricia’s desk. It seemed to catch the corner of my eye and I would whisper to myself, “Yes, I’m going to read you”, but years passed and I never did; until now.
