THE THEOSOPHICAL SOCIETY IN MILWAUKEE WINTER/SPRING 2012 PROGRAM SCHEDULE JANUARY 4: EXPERIMENTAL HEALING SESSION I Bob Bendykowski opens this season with information on the healing process gleaned from forty years of investigation. This will be followed by his first attempt in hands-on healing. Please attend and bring your ailments! JANUARY 11: STUDY GROUP Kathleen Neuman begins the sessions on "Isis Unveiled" with a discussion of Chapter 7: "Some Mysteries of Nature" JANUARY 18: THE ANCIENT HISTORY OF THE SWASTIKA Jacob Hey joins our group of presenters with a pre-Nazi history of the swastika. His slideshow will trace its use as a sacred metaphysical symbol by every culture from the Native Americans and Tibetans to the Africans and Jews. JANUARY 25: THE FRAMEWORK FOR ISLAMIC THEOLOGY Dr. Waheed Ahmed, founding president of the Islamic Society of Milwaukee and current president of the Islamic Da'wa Center, will discuss the history and structure of the spiritual hierarchy of Islam. Students of comparative religion are especially encouraged to attend. FEBRUARY 1: A HEALING CEREMONY Tom Wroblewski again leads a healing circle based on the format currently used periodically at TS in Wheaton.

FEBRUARY 8: COLOR Vivian Fayes’ presentation will examine the esoteric meaning of color as described in theosophical writings, including its appearance in the etheric body and its application to healing. FEBRUARY 15: THE ANCIENT EGYPTIAN PANTHEON AND THE KABBALLIC TREE OF LIFE Jacob Hey returns to discuss the correlation between the symbolism in the ancient Egyptian pantheon and that of the sephiroth on the Kabballic tree of life. Jacob will compare the Crowley and Kemetic interpretations and will present his own unique theory as to the correct interpretation. FEBRUARY 22: EGYPTIAN TEMPLES AND FUNERAL PRACTICES Jeanie Dean presents background information on the symbolism of the Egyptian temples and, with the assistance of Jacob Hey, reviews the seven body system and the funereal trips to the Underworld. FEBRUARY 29: JAINISM Dr. Devang Ghandi from the Wisconsin Jain Temple will discuss the philosophy and practices of Jainism, a religion stressing peace and non-violence in thought, word, and deed. MARCH 7: THE ROLE OF THE HEART IN THE SPIRITUAL PATH Teachers from different traditions have given glimpses on what HPB clearly states in her writings: the Heart is the center of the Spiritual Consciousness and the abode of the Spiritual Man. Juliana Cesano, staff member and a noted author from TS in Wheaton, will further explore this statement and will present a formal practice that will prepare us to listen to the promptings of our Spiritual Consciousness.

MARCH 14: STUDY GROUP Dave Margetta will lead the members in a study of "Isis Unveiled," Chapter 4: The Ether or "Astral Light" MARCH 21: CRYSTALS IN HEALING Diane Bloom, from FREE SPIRIT CRYSTALS in Butler, will speak on the healing qualities of crystals and stones and will demonstrate a simple healing technique using two quartz wands. She will also bring a variety of crystals to allow those attending to experience their inherent energy. MARCH 28: RELAXATION THROUGH MUSIC AND DANCE Diana Soria, formerly Newman, is a folk singer who has performed folk songs and sacred chants (remembered from Lemurian, Atlantean, and Egyptian times) in the US, Spain, Thailand, Egypt, and Hawaii. She has studied Hindu temple dancing, middle eastern dance, and Tai Chi. In this lecture she shares methods for using different songs and movements for relaxation and the centering of the self with the universe. APRIL 4: THE DRUIDS, THEIR ROOTS AND INFLUENCE Dr. William Rogers returns to discuss some possible African roots in Druidism and this religion's connection to Afro-Celtic culture and even to the development of Masonry in Europe, a connection hinted at in some of HPB's writings. APRIL 18: STUDY GROUP Tom Wroblewski leads the group in a review of HPB's "Isis Unveiled" Chapter 8: Cyclic Phenomena

APRIL 25: EXPERIMENTAL HEALING SESSION II Based on the results of Session I Bob Bendykowski continues his exploration of current healing systems. Ailments are again welcome.

Examples and practice of the process will allow members of the group to define and release these undesirable conditions. Bring your pendulum! MAY 9: WHITE LOTUS DAY AND THE WISDOM OF CHINA White Lotus Day commemorates the death of HPB. In this talk David Bruce will show that her teachings have some remarkable parallels with Confucianism whose system of ethics is similar to Theosophy. MAY 16: STUDY GROUP Diana Soria will lead a discussion of "Isis Unveiled" Chapter 13: Egyptian Wisdom MAY 23: EDGAR CAYCE--AMERICA'S MOST DOCUMENTED PSYCHIC Edgar Cayce gave thousands of psychic readings in the early 1900s, and founded the Association for Research and Enlightenment in the 1930s. MAY 30: HINDUISM Professor Laskshmi Kant Bharadwaj from the Hindu Temple will be with us tonight. Because of the scope of the subject he has requested that specific questions about Hinduism be conveyed to him a week or two before the meeting. Please give your questions to any board member. JUNE 6: ANNUAL MEETING We end this semester with the annual meeting featuring reports by the board, an induction ceremony for new members, and light refreshments and camaraderie.
