10. Bendigo Bank Tennis Complex Redevelopment Proposal Building an International Standard Facility One of the keys in our future growth will come through the delivery of the $7.4 million Redevelopment of the Bendigo Bank Tennis Complex. Following the investment already made into the Complex courts, stakeholders are finalising the design plans for the redevelopment of the clubhouse pavilion, car park area and surrounding landscaping. The redevelopment of the Complex off court facilities will keep the Centre at the forefront of playing venues in Australia. It will further enhance our ability to build the sport of tennis both locally and across the region, as well as ensuring we continue to attract events of a National and International significants to Bendigo. The BTA and Tennis Australia have partnered with the City of Greater Bendigo during the planning phase of the redevelopment, and are expected to finalise the detailed design by the end of 2014. Over half the funding required to complete the project ($3.9 million) has been secured, with the final balance hopefully confirmed in the 2 nd half of 2014. If secured, building of the new Complex facilities will commence from mid-2015 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2016.
