Come along on a trip to the 'Land of the Vikings' to discover one of the most scenic regions in the world. We’ll visit Denmark, the land of Hans Christian Andersen, with its Renaissance castles, charming villages and famous Tivoli Gardens. Then we explore Norway with its magnificent fjords, rugged countryside and Viking history. Finally it's on to Sweden and its vast forests, beautiful crystal and sophisticated Stockholm. It will be a journey featuring extraordinary scenery, a dramatic combination of farmland, mountains, seas, forests and fjords.

Today we meet our fellow travellers at the airport to board the departure flight, ready to begin a journey filled with new and exciting experiences. TUESDAY, JUNE 16 | D

Day 2 • Arrive in Copenhagen

Upon arrival in Copenhagen we are met by our guide and driver. A local guide will then take us on a panoramic city tour that includes a cruise of the Copenhagen canals where we see the scenic harbour and catch a glimpse of the famous Little Mermaid. Along the canals, view the most beautiful churches, castles and old houses as well as architecturally interesting new buildings. Day 3 • Copenhagen Touring - Tivoli Gardens

This morning we start our day by visiting the Rosenborg Gardens also called the King's Gardens - the oldest Royal gardens in Denmark. King Christian IV laid these gardens out in the Renaissance style in the beginning of the 1600's. Here we will also visit the 17th-century castle which houses the Danish Crown Jewels and other treasures of the Danish Royal Family dating back to the year 1500. The afternoon is free to explore on our own and to take advantage of the shopping area of Stroget Street, or maybe make a visit to the famous Carlsberg Brewery Visitors centre. Tonight we enjoy a special treat as we are taken to dine at a restaurant in Tivoli Gardens. Later we have free time to wander through the famous amusement park before walking back to the hotel at our leisure. THURSDAY, JUNE 18 | BD

Day 4 • Frederiksborg - Kronborg - Cruise

We start the day with a drive through the Danish countryside as we travel to Helsingor to visit Frederiksborg Castle and Natural History Museum. This magnificent Renaissance palace is where the kings of Denmark are crowned. Then we will travel on to Kronborg Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site (WHS) made famous by Shakespeare as "Elsinor", the setting for "Hamlet". We then travel back

to Copenhagen where we will board our overnight cruise to Oslo, Norway. Dinner will be served on board the ship. FRIDAY, JUNE 19 | BD

Day 5 • Oslo City Tour - Museums

We have breakfast on board while cruising on Oslofjord until we arrive in the Norwegian capital and are met by our local guide and driver. Today, our city tour visits Frogner Park with its Vigeland Sculpture Park that features 175 granite sculptures depicting all phases of human life, arranged over 75 acres of gardens. Then we are taken to visit the Viking Ship Museum where the three ships on display are the best preserved Viking ships, found in royal burial mounds in the Oslo fjord. Next we will visit the KonTiki museum to learn about Thor Heyerdahl's journey which gained worldwide fame when he crossed the Pacific Ocean on Kon-Tiki in 1947. Later we check into the hotel and have the rest of the day free. SATURDAY, JUNE 20 | BD

Day 6 • Holmenkollen - Free Time

This morning we will see the residential area of west Oslo while travelling to the world famous Holmenkollen ski jump. After our visit to the jump site, we drive past the Royal Palace and along Oslo's main street - Karl Johan - where we view the Parliament, the Fortress of Akershus and the busy port on our way to the city hall. We are dropped off near "Raadhuset", Oslo's richly decorated city hall, which was finished in 1950 and was a collaboration of Norway's finest artists. The afternoon is free to explore the city hall, perhaps take a harbour cruise, or visit Munch Museum or the new Oslo Opera House. SUNDAY, JUNE 21 | BD

Day 7 • Oslo to Bergen

Our journey today takes us through some of the most scenic countryside in the region. We drive through the resort town of Geilo, and then on to Brimnes where we take the bridge across the fjord to Bruravik. Our journey continues as we travel via the beautiful Hardanger Fjord to Bergen - a picturesque coastal city situated between seven mountains and seven fjords.

MONDAY, JUNE 22 | BD

Day 8 • Bergen City Tour

This morning we enjoy a tour of the second largest city in Norway and the gateway to the fjords. We will take in the fish and flower markets, the old Hanseatic Quarters and the "Bryggen" harbour (WHS). After a short ride we arrive to Troldhaugen which was the home of composer Edvard Grieg. Following a thirty minute recital, we continue our tour and experience a ride on the "Fløibanen", an eight-minute funicular ride to the top of Mount Fløien with a fantastic view over the city. The rest of the afternoon is at our leisure so we can relax, spend time at the harbour markets, or visit the fascinating aquarium. TUESDAY, JUNE 23 | BD

Day 9 • Voss - Flam Train Ride

After breakfast this morning we drive through Voss and then enjoy a stop at the Stalheim Hotel where we can enjoy the incredible view of the valley below with a cup of coffee or tea. Then we continue on to Flam where we take the scenic Flam Railway up the valley past spectacular waterfalls while enjoying outstanding fjord and mountain views. WEDNESDAY, JUNE 24 | BD

Day 10 • Briksdal Glacier - Geiranger

Today we leave Flam via the Laerdals Tunnel, Fjaerland and through the Fjaerlands Tunnel which is the world’s only road tunnel underneath a glacier - to Skei. After a short break we continue on to Olden where we will enjoy an open car excursion onto the Briksdal Glacier. The huge Briksdal Glacier forms part of the Jostedal Glacier National Park. The wild glacier slope plunges from a height of 1200 metres down to the lush, narrow Briksdalen valley - a sight that attracts 300,000 visitors each year. Afterwards we continue on to our hotel in Geiranger. THURSDAY, JUNE 25 | BD

Day 11 • Geiranger Fjord Cruise

This morning is a later start so we can sleep in and relax before our cruise on the world famous Geiranger Fjord (WHS). Regarded

as the most beautiful of all the fjords, we see famous sights such as the Bridal Veil Falls and the Seven Sisters Falls as we listen to the stories provided by the ships crew. We may want to enjoy a coffee and a fresh waffle as we cruise slowly along the fjord getting close to the wildlife and possibly spot porpoise playing alongside the ship. The afternoon is free to take in the scenery and shops of the small village of Geiranger. FRIDAY, JUNE 26 | BD

Day 12 • Lom Stave Church - Lillehammer

Our travels today take us over the Grotli Mountains, and if weather permits, a stop at the beautiful viewpoint of Dalsnibba for a last look at the Geiranger Fjord. Our scenic trip today takes us alongside soaring mountains, shining glaciers and cascading waterfalls. We make a stop in the village of Lom, and visit the Lom Stave Church. This type of church is amongst the oldest standing wooden churches and uses free standing inner columns to support the roof. Then we carry on through Gubrandsdalen to the Olympic city of Lillehammer. SATURDAY, JUNE 27 | BD

Day 13 • Lillehammer - Farm Visit

We start our day with a visit to the Maihaugen Open Air Museum and learn about life in the past in a Norwegian village. We then explore some of the Olympic sites, including a ride up the chairlift beside the 90 metre ski jump. After some free time to explore on our own, we are then taken to a nearby farm, Skarsmoen, where we learn about the local history and also modern farming techniques. We will enjoy a traditional Norwegian meal here then it's a short ride back to our hotel in Lillehammer.

Day 15 • Stockholm City Tour

Our morning sightseeing shows us the charms of this city - where cobbled streets and medieval buildings of the Gamla Stan (Old Town) contrast with today's modern city centre. Sites seen today include the City Hall, with its beautiful waterside location and the Vasa Museum which contains the Swedish warship that sank in Stockholm harbour on its maiden voyage in 1628. This afternoon we are taken to the pier for a beautiful afternoon cruise of the Stockholm archipelago! The rest of the day is at our leisure to wander the narrow back streets of the Old Town or just relax. Tonight our farewell dinner will be a celebration of this exhilarating trip. Day 16 • Return Home

This morning we gather our luggage, souvenirs and memories of new friends and places we have explored. Our return flight home makes us anxious to share experiences with family and friends waiting for us back home.

Tour Conditions & Information RESERVATIONS A deposit of $300 per person is required to make a reservation on this tour. This deposit is completely refundable up to 90 days prior to departure. A confirmation of your reservation will be forwarded to you after the deposit is received. FINAL PAYMENT The final payment is due no later than 90 days before departure. If you are joining the tour within 90 days of departure, full payment is required. CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS For payments made by credit card, we reserve the right to have credit card charges processed by the suppliers of travel services such as the airline, cruise line, etc. All credit card payments will be processed in Canadian dollars. SHARED & SINGLE ACCOMMODATION Passengers must indicate at the time of booking whether they want to share a room or if they prefer a single room. Your roommate, if known, should also be indicated. If you do not have a roommate we will attempt to find a suitable travelling companion to share a room with you. If you join the tour by January 16, 2015 and we are unable to find a roommate, you will only be charged one-half of the single supplement. If you join the tour after January 16, 2015 and we are not able to find a roommate, you will be charged the full single supplement. Triple rooms, while not recommended, can be arranged. RESERVATION CHANGES If you want to change your reservation, such as change your departure city or plan an extended stay, you must submit your request in writing at least 90 days prior to departure. If planning an extension, an additional non-refundable payment may be required in order to reserve flights and other arrangements.

Any subsequent changes, cancellations of extension arrangements or changes requested within 90 days of departure are subject to a service fee of $100 per person in addition to any fees charged by the various travel suppliers. TOUR PRICE The prices shown are based on currency levels, airfares, and taxes valid as at September 1, 2014 and are subject to change. Once you have paid in full we guarantee that there will be no price increases due to currency exchange fluctuations or airfare increases. FUEL SURCHARGES It has become common practice for airlines, cruise lines and motorcoach companies to apply surcharges due to the volatile price of fuel. These surcharges are included in the price of the tour based on surcharges in effect as at September 1, 2014 and are subject to change. CANCELLATIONS Your deposit is fully refundable for any reason up to 90 days prior to departure. If you cancel, you will receive back all money paid towards the tour less the applicable cancellation fee. The charges apply to the base price of the tour only and do not include cancellation charges for any extra arrangements such as single supplement, accommodation upgrades, additional tours, etc. INSURANCE We recommend that all passengers buy insurance to protect themselves against any possible cancellation charges or out-of-country medical expenses. An

all-inclusive policy which has cancellation, hospital/medical and baggage coverage will be offered to Alberta residents prior to making their final payment. For passengers residing outside of Alberta, we will explain how you can obtain our special group rates for travel insurance direct from Reliable Life Insurance. As your deposit is fully refundable until 90 days prior to departure, you do not need to purchase insurance until that date. PASSPORTS A passport is required for all tour participants. Some countries require that your passport to be valid for at least three months and some at least six months past your intended return date. If you do not already have a passport, or if your current passport will expire within this period, apply for your new passport at least 90 days before departure. HEALTH REQUIREMENTS During walking tours you will likely experience uneven ground, cobblestone streets and various amounts of steps or stairs. For your enjoyment, and in fairness to your fellow passengers, you should be in good physical condition, with the ability to stand for reasonable periods of time and walk several kilometres easily. Should you feel a particular excursion may be too strenuous, you are welcome to forego the sightseeing tour and rest or explore on your own. At the time of printing, no inoculations are required for this tour. TOUR DOCUMENTS The tour documents (hotel list, flight itinerary, name tag, etc.) will be sent approximately 30 days prior to departure.
