‰Executive Order No. 192, series of 1987, established the NATIONAL MAPPING AND RESOURCE INFORMATION AUTHORITY (NAMRIA) as an attached agency of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) through the merger of :

9 National Cartography Authority (NCA) of the AFP 9 Bureau of Coast and Geodetic Surveys of DND

9 Natural Resources Management Center (NRMC) of the DENR 9Land Classification Teams of the then Bureau of Forest Development (now the Forest Management Bureau) of the DENR

To serve as the country’s central mapping and resource information agency.

The NAMRIA Major Functions Water, Coastal and Land Surveys Mapping and Remote Sensing Information Management and Statistical Services

STRUCTURE The governance and policy direction of the Agency is provided by a five -member Board of five-member Governors: ™ Department of National Defense (DND); ™ Department of Agriculture (DA); ™ Department of Transportation and Communications; ™ Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH); and ™ Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR)

… and an Administrator who is assisted by three (3) Deputy Administrators.
