CHOSEN FOR HIS GLORY 2017

SOLEMN ASSEMBLY IMPORTANT NOTE: The Prayer Book is given a week early so that we can start using it to prepare ourselves for the week of prayer and fasting. Read, study and start praying through the book. The Holy Spirit will already begin to speak and work in us.

FOREWORD - CHOSEN FOR HIS GLORY We are chosen for God’s glory as Eph 1:4-14 (NLT) says, “Even before He made the world, GOD LOVED US AND CHOSE US IN CHRIST to be holy and without fault in His eyes. GOD DECIDED IN ADVANCE TO ADOPT US into His own family by bringing us to Himself through Jesus Christ. This is what He wanted to do, and it gave Him great pleasure. . . HE DID THIS SO WE WOULD PRAISE AND GLORIFY HIM!" To be “chosen” by God “even before He made the world” means God, in eternity past and in “advance”, had deliberately pre-SELECTED, pre-HANDPICKED, preDESTINED, pre-SANCTIFIED, pre-ORDAINED and SET US APART above others FOR HIS OWN PREFERENCE, PURPOSE AND PLEASURE. When God chose us, it means we are special, not common; we are preferred, not ordinary and we are favored, not destitute. We did not come by the will of man, but by the will of God that even before time began He had already chosen us: • to be accepted in Him through His Son, Jesus Christ • to be adopted as His sons and daughters in His household • to be objects of His redeeming and eternal love • to be recipients of all His spiritual blessings • to be holy and without fault before Him • to be His royal priesthood and special people for His glory! Herein is OUR IDENTITY, HIS CHOSEN PEOPLE; and herein is the reason for our existence, FOR HIS GLORY! All these the Holy Trinity did in accordance and in pursuance to Their own divine will, counsel and delight. Even before time began, we were already God’s chosen OBJECTS and TARGETS of His love, acceptance, adoption and favor that WE MAY GLORIFY HIM. Nothing carries and reflects the Father’s honor, glory, goodness and praiseworthiness more than His own children united as one chosen generation living, looking and walking like Him in His exact image. We already pre-existed as God’s children by His choice, before we existed as our parents’ children by conception. Because of our identity in Him, He has set His seal of choice upon us by His Holy Spirit; we bear His name, His blood runs in our veins, we have been crafted in His image, our names are 1

Called to Solemn Assembly etched on the palms of His hands and in the Book of Life. We are the Bride being prepared for His only begotten Son, He calls us sons and daughters and we call Him Abba, Father, and He has prepared an eternal home for us in heaven with Him! WHEN GOD CHOOSES, IT IS SET AND SETTLED BY HIM FOREVER – unchangeable, irrefutable, immutable, unchallengeable, undeniable, irreversible and undefeatable. Therefore, nothing and no one can ever change what He has chosen for us. He has already preordained our victory, our blessing, our prosperity and our fruitfulness. When WE KNOW that we have been chosen, and WE BOLDLY AND FIRMLY STAND FAST in the place and position as His chosen, NOTHING DEFEATS US, NOTHING DEFLATES US AND NOTHING STOPS US. Failure cannot stop us; persecution cannot hold us; weakness cannot limit us; pain cannot intimidate us; disappointment cannot crush us; tragedies cannot terminate us; injustice cannot embitter us and accusation cannot diminish us. Nothing can rob us, nothing can displace us, nothing can destroy us, nothing can change us, nothing can defile us, nothing can deviate us and nothing can dispossess us regardless of what is done, what warfare may assail or what circumstance may surround. IN CHRIST WE CANNOT BE DISCOURAGED, DERAILED, DECEIVED OR DISPOSSESSED of our calling and God’s choices for us if we do not let them. We must boldly stand in our calling as chosen by Him before the foundation of the world for His glory. NOTHING ABOUT US IS BY ACCIDENT, COINCIDENCE, MISTAKE, OVERSIGHT OR AFTERTHOUGHT. When God chose us in Him before time began, He also chose and ordained everything about us – our identity, salvation, call, destiny, gender, ethnicity, birth date, hair color and personality are all predestined by Him. Nothing was left to chance or coincidence. When we came into the world, we came with everything precisely built into us according to God’s plan, purpose and prescription; all of which He had written in His book before the foundation of the world. Psa 139:16 says, “Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And IN YOUR BOOK THEY ALL WERE WRITTEN, THE DAYS FASHIONED FOR ME, when as yet there were none of them.” In Jer 1:5 God emphatically declared to Jeremiah, “Before I formed you in the womb I KNEW YOU; before you were born I SANCTIFIED YOU; I ORDAINED YOU a prophet to the nations.” When God makes a choice, everything concerning Him, relating to Him and about Him are attached to His choice. WHEN HE MAKES A CHOICE, ALL OF WHO HE IS AND ALL OF HEAVEN FOLLOW HIS CHOICE – He backs up His choice with the fullness of WHO HE IS, with the fullness of WHAT HE CAN DO and with the fullness of ALL HE HAS. When He chose us, He chose that we should have all of Him. This is the unbelievable, 2

CHOSEN FOR HIS GLORY 2017 inconceivable, unfathomable, uncontainable and unlimited heaven’s measure of God’s love, inheritance, provision and entitlement deeded to us by Him “in advance” as His chosen sons and daughters and chosen generation for His glory! He has CHOSEN US IN HIM, He has CHOSEN US FOR HIM and He has CHOSEN US TO BE WITH HIM. When God pre-chose us before the foundation of the world to be His children, simultaneously He also pre-chose to deliver up to us Jesus Christ as the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world. Rom 8:32 says, “He (God) who did not spare His own Son, but DELIVERED HIM UP FOR US ALL, HOW SHALL HE NOT WITH HIM ALSO FREELY GIVE US ALL THINGS?" Paul in asking this was truly and emphatically declaring that if God did not withhold His Son, there was nothing God would withhold from us. Therefore, because WE ARE PRE-CHOSEN and PRE-DESTINED BY GOD, He has also pre-chosen and pre-destined to give us all of heaven’s provisions, goodness, blessings, enablement and power for His glory. He gives us full access to Him - to ALL THAT HE IS, ALL THAT HE CAN DO and ALL THAT HE HAS. His will and title deed concerning His Son and all of heaven, He had already signed and delivered into our hands through the work of the Lamb slain from the foundation of this world. All God’s favor, goodness and kindness are irresistibly drawn to us even before time began because of our identity in Him as His chosen. We attract all of heaven’s love, favor and blessings just as Jesus did while He was here on earth as a man, so it is with us. We do not originate from the place of death, but of life eternal; we do not originate from the place of condemnation, but of justification; we do not originate from the place of poverty, but of incredible richness; we do not originate from the place of impotence, but of the exceedingly great power of God; we do not originate from the place of fear but of faith and power; and we do not originate from the place of shame but of honor. Everything that we need to walk faithfully and victoriously in all that He has chosen for us, He has provided through Jesus Christ. We cannot help but glorify Him in who we are, what we do and how we do. WE ARE NOT JUST CHOSEN INDIVIDUALS, but together as His church, we are HIS CHOSEN PEOPLE, CHOSEN PRIESTHOOD and CHOSEN GENERATION to proclaim His praises and show forth His glory to the whole world. 1 Pet 2:5-9 declares, “you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ . . . You are a CHOSEN GENERATION, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” We are NOT just an INDIVIDUAL living stone, 3

Called to Solemn Assembly WE ARE MANY LIVING STONES BEING BUILT INTO A SPIRITUAL HOUSE; we are not just a priest, we are a royal priesthood, we are not just a special person, we are a special people and we are not just a son or daughter, WE ARE A CHOSEN GENERATION and a HOLY NATION belonging to Him. Yes, our Lord Jesus Christ gave His life for you and I as individuals, but His purpose and pleasure is that ALL INDIVIDUALS WHO BELIEVE IN HIM BECOME ONE (just as His Father and He are one) as His pre-chosen and pre-selected royal priesthood, holy nation and CHOSEN GENERATION TO DECLARE HIS GLORY AND PRAISES that the whole earth be filled with the knowledge of His glory. Jesus always lived, moved and operated as one with His Father and the Holy Spirit. He never operated and moved singularly on His own and independent of His Father and the Holy Spirit. His purpose for all of His followers is that we also live, move and serve Him as one people, one body and one generation. We are bound in unity as One because we are children of One God; we are baptized into One Baptism; we hold on to One Faith, we believe in One Truth; we are made One Body, we are joined as One Generation through the blood of Jesus Christ our Lord, and finally we are called into One Call to glorify Him in all the earth. WE MUST DO AWAY with the values, perspectives and beliefs of the world, which we may have carelessly and unwittingly embraced, that now separate us, put barriers between us and segregate us from each other ACCORDING TO ETHNICITY, AGE, GENDER, CULTURE OR SOCIAL DIFFERENCES. We are diverse and different; but in our diversities and differences, we are not to be divided, separated, segregated or disunited. In God’s economy, such natural diversities and differences have never ever been a reason for division, separation and segregation. God does not classify or segregate us according to these things. He does distinguish the sheep from the goats, sons from hirelings, clean from the unclean, righteous from evil and those whose names are written in the Book of Life and those whose names are not. Yet in all these, only He can judge and decide, not us. Besides that, HE NEVER SEGREGATES BY DIVERSITY OF AGE, GENDER, ETHNICITY OR CULTURE. We cannot let the world teach and define who the church is, we let the Word of God teach and define us. We may be different, have differences or encounter different experiences, but there should never be such things as “gaps” that divide us because of any of the above differences. We cannot say, ”I cannot identify with that group of people because of different interests, ages and cultures.” We can have different age groups but not age “gaps” in terms of our common faith, common goal and common purpose as God’s people to love, serve and glorify Him. WE BUILD BRIDGES ACROSS THESE DIFFERENCES TO 4

CHOSEN FOR HIS GLORY 2017 BE ONE THAT WE MOVE AS ONE CHOSEN GENERATION. We do not let biological, cultural, social or chronological differences define or divide us into fragmented individuals and individualistic pieces of living stones who steadfastly refuse to be built into one spiritual house for God and His glory. Ultimately, all these temporal diversities and differences are spiritually irrelevant and of no eternal consequence. We have greater spiritual and eternal things in common: like we are all saved by grace, we all have One Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, we are all baptized into One Body, Christ’s and we are all called into One Kingdom, Christ’s. If there ever was an impossible “gap” that must be bridged so that we may be saved, it was the “gap” the Lamb of God had to bridge; Jesus Christ, the God Eternal, who humbled Himself, made Himself of no reputation and put on flesh and blood to die in our place to redeem us as God’s sons and daughters because of His love. We are all ONE CHOSEN GENERATION IN CHRIST JESUS on display in a world DIVIDED. God had CHOSEN US OUT OF THE WORLD AS A WHOLE GENERATION that is not divided but united IN HIM FOR HIS GLORY. Diversity reveals the miraculous ingenuity and beauty of God’s creativity; it is not a basis for separation and division. For this reason He created a man and a woman, both in His image, but totally different and diverse; and He made them ONE IN HIM. It was in this ONENESS that God blessed them, empowered them to multiply and to take dominion over the whole earth. When diversities unite and merge as one in His love, WE BECOME ONE POWERFUL AND BEAUTIFUL KALEIDOSCOPE OF HIS AMAZING LOVE, MANIFOLD GRACE AND ABUNDANT LIFE. (1 John 4:12 – No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.) The world in its ungodly blindness and foolishness has reacted adversely to a God-made diversity and has taken it into a direction totally contradictory to God’s purpose. We are in this world but we are not of this world, we are of our Heavenly Father’s, therefore, live and walk as earmarked “chosen” by God. We cannot be conformed to the ways, thinking, values and lifestyle of this world. We need to guard and resist the influences of the world that try to put “gaps” or build walls between ages, race, gender and social classes. In Christ we are no longer strangers, but citizens of heaven and members of His family. In a family there is diversity of members with different giftings, backgrounds, education or other things, but we are still one family. As His chosen generation, we are His testimony, His testament and His proclamation to the rest of the world that JESUS CHRIST IS THE MAKER, THE REDEEMER, THE SAVIOR, THE LORD and THE TRUE AND LIVING GOD. He is also the Way, the Truth and the Life. In one 5

Called to Solemn Assembly accord, WE GLORIFY HIM AS HIS CHOSEN GENERATION not just in our individual lives. We are His chosen standard-bearers and His highway signs to salvation, righteousness and His kingdom. TOGETHER WE ARE HIS CHOSEN GENERATION for such a time as this. THEREFORE, IN HIM WE LIVE, WE BREATHE, WE MOVE AND HAVE OUR BEING AS GOD’S CHOSEN GENERATION FOR HIS GLORY!

SOLEMN ASSEMBLY PART I PART I - WEEK OF PERSONAL PREPARATION December 25 - 31, 2016 (Sunday to Saturday) Six Steps To Preparation For Solemn Assembly December 25 to 31, 2016 is a week of personal preparation before the Solemn Assembly. Like the Levitical priests who carefully prepared themselves before they entered the Tabernacle to minister to God, it is important that we take time to prayerfully prepare ourselves to enter the Solemn Assembly in the spirit and posture of heart that are pleasing to God. (Record all that God will be speaking to you throughout this season of prayer and fasting on the pages provided in this booklet.) STEP 1 - Plan Your Week’s Schedule To Include Corporate And Personal Prayer 1. Plan and schedule in both corporate and personal prayer times for the week 2. Note all the corporate prayer times (morning, noon and evening) and plan to be there with your family 3. All ministries for the week of January 1-8, 2017 are canceled to release the church to participate in Solemn Assembly in the noontime and evening prayers * All care/net leaders and ministry heads to take note and inform all helpers and exhort them to be present for prayer STEP 2 - Personal Preparation (Psa 51:1-19) “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.” (v10-11) 7

Called to Solemn Assembly 1. Prepare our hearts to come before God in humility and contrition 2. Prayerfully allow the Holy Spirit to do a deep searching of our hearts and lives. Bring everything to light and let nothing be hidden 3. Pray through Psa 51 – Repent and ask God to forgive and create in us a clean heart, renew a right spirit within us 4. Ask God to open the eyes of our understanding – remove all unbelief, hardness, pride and resistance to His Holy Spirit. Ask God to put truth and wisdom in our inward parts 5. Make relationships right with God and with others STEP 3 - Prepare As A Family (Jos 24:14-15; Psa 133) “Now, therefore, fear the LORD, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the LORD! . . . But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” 1. Heads of families help prepare your family. Share with family the personal application of Solemn Assembly to each person and whole family 2. Minister unity and oneness in family. Bring healing and reconciliation in all relationships. Repent of sins committed against each other. Minister love and forgiveness to each other a. marriage (1 Pet 3:1-7; Col 3:18-19) b. parents – children (Col 3:20-21) 3. Have a family communion time to seal the oneness of spirit, love and peace. Pray Psa 133 and Col 3 into the family STEP 4 – Spiritual House-Cleansing (2 Chr 34:1-27) “For in the eighth year of his (Josiah’s) reign, while he was still young, he began to seek the God of his father David; and in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem of the high places, the wooden images, the carved images, and the molded images . . . in the eighteenth year of his reign, . . . he sent Shaphan… to repair the house of the LORD . . . because your heart was tender . . . and you humbled yourself before Me . . . I also have heard you,” says the LORD. 1. Do spiritual house-cleaning (2 Chr 34:1-33) If there is any item in our possession that contains spiritually defiling material and is not pleasing to God, get rid of it 8

CHOSEN FOR HIS GLORY 2017 2. These things defile us and our homes. They also become gate- ways for the enemy to infiltrate 3. Repair our personal and family altar (daily devotions - prayer and Word) STEP 5 - Prepare All Ministries (Col 3:12-17) “Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another; and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.” (v12-15) 1. Heads of ministries to prepare all helpers and others under their care. Ensure that they are informed concerning the purpose and times of prayer 2. Exhort all to participate in the blessing of the Solemn Assembly 3. Minister unity, reconciliation and oneness. If there is any rift in ministerial relationships, prayerfully bring reconciliation and oneness 4. Pray Psa 133 and Col 3 into the ministry. Renew commitment to God and each other STEP 6 - Ask God To Infuse Great Faith In Us (Heb 11:6) “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” 1. Seek God diligently and believe in Him for great things 2. Step into the week of Solemn Assembly with a contrite heart and great faith

Called to Solemn Assembly PART II - WEEK OF CORPORATE PRAYER AND FASTING January 1-8, 2017 (Sunday to Sunday)

WHAT IS SOLEMN ASSEMBLY The Call To Humbly Seek God In Prayer And Fasting Joel 1:14 - “Consecrate a fast, call a sacred assembly; gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the LORD your God and cry out to the LORD.” Solemn Assembly is a corporate and personal call to humbly separate ourselves unto God for a time of Consecration, Prayer and Fasting to seek His face for a specific purpose. It is humbling ourselves before God in repentance and consecration • It is a time of “breaking up the fallow ground” of our hearts before God • It is a time of repenting of all sins and returning to God whole-heartedly • It is a time of total consecration to God as His redeemed people • It is a time of waiting on God to hear from Him and take heed • It is a time to resolve to obey and please Him alone HOW DO WE DO SOLEMN ASSEMBLY We Consecrate A Fast, Call A Sacred Assembly Corporately and individually we set aside time to seek God in prayer and fasting What is fasting and prayer? Fasting and prayer are very powerful spiritual ministries that God responds to. In fasting, the abstinence from food (and other things) is an outward demonstration of an inward heart of contrition and repentance toward God. It is also a spiritual act of humbling and emptying ourselves before God in submission to His Lordship. Fasting is crucifying our flesh and self and enthroning God. It brings us into total submission to Him. We deny all that is of ourselves - our will, needs, appetites, desires, priorities, motives and embrace all that is His. There are different ways of fasting. Let the Lord lead you at all times. We fast on: • Food – abstinence from food (depending on how God will direct you) • Time – set aside time to pray and wait on God • Priorities – deny personal priorities; make seeking Him first priority

10

CHOSEN FOR HIS GLORY 2017 • Pleasures – abstinence from things or activities we enjoy (hobbies, TV, internet, entertainment, recreation, social media) and devote that time and energy to God How do we fast? We are to fast as the Holy Spirit leads us. Let Him show us what He is dealing with us in our life. Fasting must be accompanied with prayer: • Total fast – Abstaining from solid foods for all meals. Taking only liquids (water). If you have a health need, consult your doctor before fasting • Partial fast – Abstaining from certain meals or reducing the normal portions of intake. (No snacking to make up for fasted meals. Take much water) • Daniel fast – Abstaining from specific (favorite) types of food, beverages and also from certain activities. (TV, golf, shopping, video games, internet, social media, etc) How do we wait on God? Plan and set aside a specific time and place (remove all distractions) to wait on God each day of the Solemn Assembly • Waiting is an act of submission. It crucifies the flesh. It lets God be God • Allow Him to search us thoroughly that nothing is hidden • Consciously tune our heart and spirit to hear Him and be sensitive to His voice • God will draw near to us and reveal Himself to us • It brings revelation of things that we need to take care of • It allows the Holy Spirit to illuminate our hearts • Take note of all that He speaks to us

11

Called to Solemn Assembly DAY 1 - SUNDAY, JANUARY 1, 2017 MINISTRY OF THE WORD IN MORNING AND EVENING SERVICES Isa 49:3 “And He said to me, ‘YOU ARE MY SERVANT, O Israel, IN WHOM I WILL BE GLORIFIED.'" Isa 43:7 "EVERYONE who is CALLED BY MY NAME, whom I HAVE CREATED FOR MY GLORY; I have formed him, yes, I have made him.” John 17:10 “And all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I AM GLORIFIED IN THEM. Isa 62:3 You shall also be a CROWN OF GLORY IN THE HAND of the LORD, and A ROYAL DIADEM in the hand of your God. Eph 1:3-14 (NLT) All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. EVEN BEFORE HE MADE THE WORLD, God loved us and CHOSE US in CHRIST TO BE HOLY and WITHOUT FAULT IN HIS EYES. God DECIDED IN ADVANCE to adopt us into His own family by bringing us to Himself through Jesus Christ. This is what He wanted to do, and it gave Him great pleasure. So we praise God for the glorious grace He has poured out on us who belong to His dear Son. . . . Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for He CHOSE US IN ADVANCE, and He makes everything work out according to His plan. God’s purpose was that we Jews who were the first to trust in Christ WOULD BRING PRAISE AND GLORY TO GOD. And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, He identified you as His own by giving you the Holy Spirit . . . The Spirit is God’s guarantee that He will give us the inheritance He promised and that He has purchased us to be His own people. HE DID THIS SO WE WOULD PRAISE AND GLORIFY HIM. 2 Tim 1:9 (HCSB) He has SAVED US and CALLED US WITH A HOLY CALLING, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, WHICH WAS GIVEN TO US IN CHRIST JESUS BEFORE TIME BEGAN.

12

CHOSEN FOR HIS GLORY 2017 Rom 8:28-39 And WE KNOW that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are THE CALLED ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE. For whom HE FOREKNEW, He also PREDESTINED to be CONFORMED TO THE IMAGE OF HIS SON, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover WHOM HE PREDESTINED, these HE ALSO CALLED; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified . . . If God is for us, who can be against us? HE WHO DID NOT SPARE HIS OWN SON, BUT DELIVERED HIM UP FOR US ALL, HOW SHALL HE NOT WITH HIM ALSO FREELY GIVE US ALL THINGS? . . . It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and … is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? … Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I AM PERSUADED THAT NEITHER death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, SHALL BE ABLE TO SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF GOD which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Called to Solemn Assembly DAY 2 – MONDAY, JANUARY 2, 2017 PRAYER FOCUS - CHOSEN TO BE CONSECRATED FOR HIS GLORY Isa 49:3 “And He said to me, ‘YOU ARE MY SERVANT, O Israel, IN WHOM I WILL BE GLORIFIED.'" And all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I AM GLORIFIED IN THEM. Isa 62:3 You shall also be a CROWN OF GLORY IN THE HAND of the LORD, and A ROYAL DIADEM in the hand of your God. 2 Pet 1:3 … as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him WHO CALLED US BY GLORY AND VIRTUE . . . Isa 40:5 "THE GLORY OF THE LORD SHALL BE REVEALED, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the LORD has spoken.” Psa 96:3 DECLARE HIS GLORY AMONG THE NATIONS, His wonders among all peoples. Psa 72:19 . . . And blessed be His glorious name forever! And let the WHOLE EARTH BE FILLED WITH HIS GLORY. Amen and Amen. 1 Pet 2:5-9 . . . you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to OFFER UP SPIRITUAL SACRIFICES ACCEPTABLE TO GOD through Jesus Christ. . . you are a CHOSEN generation, a ROYAL priesthood, a HOLY nation, His own SPECIAL people, that you may PROCLAIM THE PRAISES OF HIM who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 1Chr 16:29 GIVE TO THE LORD THE GLORY DUE HIS NAME; bring an offering, and come before Him. Oh, worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness! 14

CHOSEN FOR HIS GLORY 2017 1 Cor 6:19-20 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; THEREFORE GLORIFY GOD IN YOUR BODY AND IN YOUR SPIRIT, WHICH ARE GOD’S. Psa 50:23 "WHOEVER OFFERS PRAISE GLORIFIES ME; and to him who orders his conduct aright I will show the salvation of God.” John 15:8 By this MY FATHER IS GLORIFIED, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. John 17:4 “I HAVE GLORIFIED YOU ON THE EARTH. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do." 1 The 2:11-12 . . . as you know how we exhorted, and comforted, and charged every one of you, as a father does his own children, that you would WALK WORTHY OF GOD who CALLS YOU INTO HIS OWN KINGDOM AND GLORY. John 17:22-24 "And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me. “Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world." Eph 3:20-21 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, TO HIM BE GLORY IN THE CHURCH BY CHRIST JESUS TO ALL GENERATIONS, forever and ever. Amen. Rev 18:1 After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and THE EARTH WAS ILLUMINATED WITH HIS GLORY. Rev 21:23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, FOR THE GLORY OF GOD ILLUMINATED IT. The Lamb is its light.

Called to Solemn Assembly Hag 2:9 "'THE GLORY OF THIS LATTER TEMPLE SHALL BE GREATER THAN THE FORMER,' says the LORD of hosts. ‘And in this place I will give peace,' says the LORD of hosts." Exhortation – Chosen To Be Consecrated For His Glory God declares in Isa 43:7, “EVERYONE who is CALLED BY MY NAME, whom I HAVE CREATED FOR MY GLORY; I have formed him, yes, I have made him.” Indisputably we have been created, redeemed, called, chosen and consecrated for His glory. Isa 62:3 says, “You shall also be a CROWN OF GLORY in the hand of the LORD, and A ROYAL DIADEM in the hand of your God.” As His “crown of glory” and “royal diadem” in His hand, we are to shine forth His praises, wonder, excellencies and honor. God’s will to consecrate us for His glory is so that through us the WHOLE EARTH SHALL BE FILLED WITH THE KNOWLEDGE OF HIS GLORY; in this: • all nations will SEE His glory • all nations may EXPERIENCE His glory • all nations may KNOW Him in His glory • all nations may WORSHIP Him in His glory GOD, HIMSELF, IS GLORY and His glory can be experienced, tasted and witnessed but impossible to fully and precisely define or describe. Therefore, the world cannot see His glory, except they see His glory in us and through us just as the world saw God’s glory through Jesus. John 1:14 says of Jesus, “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and WE BEHELD HIS GLORY, THE GLORY AS OF THE ONLY BEGOTTEN OF THE FATHER, full of grace and truth.” We are the “flesh” now dwelling in this world so that the world may behold God’s glory in us as the “begotten” (born-again) of the Father. Who alone can aptly, precisely and truly show forth His glory? Only those created in His very own image and only those whom He has chosen and redeemed as His sons and daughters. As His beloved children our priority is to show forth the glory of our Heavenly Father – to be His MAGNIFICENT WALKING, LIVING AND BREATHING REPLICAS in this world, just as Jesus walked, lived and breathed in this world. Not only should the glory of God be seen in us individually, it should be seen in us collectively as His church and as His chosen generation. Eph 3:20-21 affirms. “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, TO HIM BE GLORY IN THE CHURCH by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” What then is God’s glory? In a simplified description, it is the REVEALED AND MANIFESTED PERFECTION OF GOD - His person, His nature, His presence, His attributes, His anointing and His ways in all 16

CHOSEN FOR HIS GLORY 2017 His excellencies, awesomeness, magnificence, majesty, fearsomeness, power, splendor, beauty, honor, radiance and brilliance. Every attribute, every facet and every thing about God is full of His glory – His name, authority, holiness, grace and deeds; the list is inexhaustible. Every time God reveals anything or any part of Himself, His glory is manifested. When the lost get saved, the dead are raised, the blind see, the lame walk, the mournful rejoice, the sorrowful are comforted and the bound are set free; His glory is manifested. When we humble ourselves, pick up the cross, love our enemies, bless those who curse us, feed the hungry, clothe the naked, forgive the hurtful, be kind to the unkind, His glory is manifested. 1 Pet. 2:9 says that God has chosen and consecrated us unto Himself as His CHOSEN GENERATION, royal priesthood, holy nation and SPECIAL PEOPLE TO OFFER UP SPIRITUAL SACRIFICES ACCEPTABLE TO HIM and TO PROCLAIM HIS PRAISES! We are not our own, we are His; chosen and consecrated for His glory! May we grasp the incomparable grace, unspeakable honor, inexpressible privilege, unparalleled blessing and unsurpassable joy of being chosen and consecrated for His glory. In this world many strive, sacrifice, fight and give up all to consecrate themselves to obtain “glory” that is temporal and eternally worthless like sports, careers, fame, fortune and recognition. How then should we, who are Christ’s living stones, spiritual house, chosen generation and royal priesthood, not fully and trustingly consecrate all for His eternal and imperishable glory? The former live and breathe for their worldly goals, but WE LIVE AND BREATHE FOR ONE ETERNAL GOAL; TO GLORIFY JESUS CHRIST, THE ONLY TRUE AND LIVING GOD, WHO HAD GIVEN ALL OF HIMSELF FOR US! It is not our perfection that glorifies Him, but it is HIS PERFECTION IN US THAT GLORIFIES HIM – His perfect love, perfect grace and perfect work. When Jesus Christ, our Lord, unequivocally gave us His glorious self, He intends for us to carry and show forth His glory to the whole creation that “the whole earth be filled with the knowledge" of His glory. Because we have been consecrated for His glory, we, therefore, live with a CONSECRATED PURPOSE, CONSECRATED PASSION and CONSECRATED PRIORITY to shine forth His glory. May the fervor and zeal for Him and His glory consume us as it did Jesus for His Father’s glory. Let our breath, our thoughts and our all in all acknowledge Him, praise Him, worship Him, proclaim Him and glorify Him. Besides this, we have no secondary thought, no secondary drive, no secondary purpose, no secondary passion and no secondary delight. WE CANNOT SEPARATE CONSECRATION FROM THE GLORY OF GOD. Without consecration, we cannot glorify God because His glory will not rest on us. FOR ANYTHING TO CARRY GOD’S GLORY, IT MUST 17

Called to Solemn Assembly BE CONSECRATED – set apart and made holy for His purpose. This we witnessed in the dedication and consecration of the newly built Holy Temple to God by King Solomon. The presence of God descended and rested so heavily and mightily upon the Temple that the priests could not enter to do their ministry. Conversely, when Samson lost his consecration, he lost more than his physical strength; he lost the priceless presence of God, the Spirit of God, the testimony of God and the glory of God. HE SHORT-CHANGED himself in his call because HE DID NOT WALK WORTHY OF HIS CALL TO GLORIFY GOD as Israel’s deliverer. His ministry of deliverance was not just for Israel; it was to glorify God among the nations that the Lord was God. The ability to still operate in God-given giftings is not an evidence of consecration. The glory of God’s presence resting on us is an evidence of consecration. It requires us to live holy, blameless and worthy before Him. The bottom line is we are not our own or others'; WE ARE SOLELY, WHOLLY AND INFINITELY HIS. Therefore we live for Him to glorify Him and we protect our consecration by giving ourselves wholly over to Him. Everything about us is then devoted, committed and dedicated to Him. Our minutes are His, our resources are His, our breaths are His, our thoughts are His, our attention is His and our strength, passion, purpose and future are all His. THE ESSENCE OF TRUE CONSECRATION IS LOVE. He consecrated us to Himself because of His great love for us. We yield to Him in consecration because of His great love. There is nothing forced, coerced, reluctant, disinclined, averse or unwilling about our consecration to Him. It is our calling; and therefore it is also our joy, blessing, privilege, entitlement, elation and pleasure. Yes, God has created and chosen us in love for His glory. THE MORE WE LOVE JESUS, THE MORE WE WILL WANT TO GLORIFY HIM. When we love, we cannot help but speak, declare and boast of that Loved One all the time in glowing, wonderful, splendid, breathtaking, grand, amazing, awe-inspiring and overwhelming terms that hearers will begin to know how worthy, awesome, magnificent, superb, brilliant and praiseworthy this Loved One is. When we SINGLE-HEARTEDLY and SINGLE-MINDEDLY live in holy consecration for His glory, HE WILL REVEAL HIMSELF TO US and HE WILL LET US SEE HIM FACE TO FACE just as Moses and Jesus did in their lifetime. They both were so saturated in God’s presence that Moses’ face shone with His glory and Jesus’ whole body glowed in His glory. Both Moses and Jesus had indescribable and unparalleled encounters with God face to face over and over again. THEY LIVED IN THE UNMATCHABLE AND INCREDIBLE MANIFESTED PRESENCE OF GOD ALWAYS. They hungered for nothing except God and His glory. For this purpose, they wholly devoted 18

CHOSEN FOR HIS GLORY 2017 themselves and they lived, breathed and existed to seek God and His glory to the very last breath. Nothing was of significance or consequence to them, except God and His glory. God was their Alpha and Omega; God was their life, love and treasure. THEY EXISTED IN GOD AND FOR GOD. There was nothing else on the radar of their lives. They understood and lived as God’s chosen and consecrated for His glory. It reflected in every part of their being and life – it was evident and none could miss it. All who loved them or hated them, all who agreed with them or opposed them, all who praised them or disparaged them – none could deny that they were consecrated to God and His glory. THESE ALL ENCOUNTERED THE GLORY OF GOD THROUGH THEM – whether family or strangers; whether friends and enemies and whether lovers or haters. Through them, none could deny that God alone was God. They were the irrefutable testimony, living evidence and breathing testament of God and His glory. If we purpose in our heart to live consecrated for His glory; we know we can do all things through Him who strengthens us. We will glorify Him in “season and out of season" (2 Tim 4:2); in good health or in illness, in good times or troubled times, in laughter or in tears, in honor or in reproach, in abundance or in need and in blessing or in adversity. No battle can defeat us, no temptation can overcome us, no flood can drown us, no fire can burn us and no tribulation can destroy us. In light or in darkness, in height or in depth and in celebration or in tears we will shine forth His glory as His chosen and consecrated ones. In Him we live, breathe, move and have our being. It is His glory that illuminates the whole world; WHEN WE CARRY HIS GLORY WE ILLUMINATE THE WHOLE WORLD. If there is a time when the church must arise and shine in the glory of God, it is now. To stay faithful and committed in our chosen consecration, we will face temptation, challenges and battles because of the evil one who fights us. Deal with anything or anyone that threatens to intrude and defile, dilute or compromise our consecration. Listen to the still small voice of conviction of the Holy Spirit; do not ignore but quickly obey. Do not converse with temptation, but resist and flee. Do not defile or blemish our conscience. Our conscience is a God-given light in our soul and spirit that the Holy Spirit illuminates to show us right from wrong and teaches us the way of holiness and life; and also to commune with us as our Comforter, Helper, Wonderful Counselor, Almighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace. HEED HIM AND WE WILL LIVE! Do not tolerate, entertain or flirt with temptation, like Samson did. Ultimately, Jesus lived, breathed, died and rose again in obedience to His Father’s purpose of glorifying Him. He declared in John 17:4, “I HAVE GLORIFIED YOU ON THE EARTH. I HAVE FINISHED THE WORK WHICH 19

Called to Solemn Assembly YOU HAVE GIVEN ME TO DO.” May we do the same and be able to declare the same. IF WE LIVE FOR A SIGNIFICANT PURPOSE, THEN OUR LIFE HAS BECOME SIGNIFICANT. The most significant thing we can do with our life, is to live to glorify Him. May we have a PASSION TO GLORIFY GOD; may we ASPIRE TO GLORIFY GOD; may OUR GOAL IN LIFE BE TO GLORIFY GOD and may we LIVE TO GLORIFY GOD. A. CHOSEN FOR HIS GLORY 2017 DAY 3 – TUESDAY, JANUARY 3, 2017 PRAYER FOCUS – CHOSEN TO PRAISE HIM Isa 43:7 and 21 "Everyone who is called by My name, WHOM I HAVE CREATED FOR MY GLORY; I have formed him, yes, I have made him.” … THIS PEOPLE I HAVE FORMED FOR MYSELF; THEY SHALL DECLARE MY PRAISE." Psa 150:1-6 PRAISE THE LORD! Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in His mighty firmament! Praise Him for His mighty acts; PRAISE HIM ACCORDING TO HIS EXCELLENT GREATNESS! Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; praise Him with the lute and harp! Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! Praise Him with loud cymbals; praise Him with clashing cymbals! LET EVERYTHING THAT HAS BREATH PRAISE THE LORD. PRAISE THE LORD! Isa 42:8-13 I AM THE LORD, THAT IS MY NAME; and My glory I will not give to another, nor My praise to carved images . . . Sing to the LORD a new song, and HIS PRAISE from the ends of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, you coastlands and you inhabitants of them! Let the wilderness and its cities lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar inhabits. Let the inhabitants of Sela sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains. LET THEM GIVE GLORY TO THE LORD, and DECLARE HIS PRAISE in the coastlands. The LORD shall go forth like a mighty man; He shall stir up His zeal like a man of war. He shall cry out, yes, shout aloud; He shall prevail against His enemies. Psa 50:23 WHOEVER OFFERS PRAISE GLORIFIES ME; and to him who orders his conduct aright I will show the salvation of God. Deu 10:21 HE IS YOUR PRAISE, and He is your God, who has done for you THESE GREAT AND AWESOME THINGS which your eyes have seen. Exo 15:11 Who is like You, O LORD, among the gods? Who is like You, GLORIOUS IN HOLINESS, FEARFUL IN PRAISES, doing wonders? Psa 47:1-9 Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples! Shout to God with the voice of triumph! 23

Called to Solemn Assembly FOR THE LORD MOST HIGH IS AWESOME; He is a great King over all the earth. He will subdue the peoples under us, and the nations under our feet. He will choose our inheritance for us, the excellence of Jacob whom He loves. Selah God has gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet. SING PRAISES to God, SING PRAISES! SING PRAISES to our King, SING PRAISES! FOR GOD IS THE KING OF ALL THE EARTH; SING PRAISES with understanding. God reigns over the nations; God sits on His holy throne. The princes of the people have gathered together, the people of the God of Abraham. For the shields of the earth belong to God; HE IS GREATLY EXALTED. Psa 102:16-18 (NLT) For the LORD will rebuild Jerusalem. He will appear in His glory. He will listen to the prayers of the destitute. He will not reject their pleas. LET THIS BE RECORDED FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS, SO THAT A PEOPLE NOT YET BORN WILL PRAISE THE LORD. Isa 12:2-6 "'Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; ‘For YAH, the LORD, is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation.’"  Therefore with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation. And in that day you will say: "'PRAISE THE LORD, call upon His name; DECLARE HIS DEEDS AMONG THE PEOPLES, make mention that His name is exalted. Sing to the LORD, for He has done excellent things; this is known in all the earth. Cry out and shout, O inhabitant of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel in your midst!” Psa 145:1-13 I WILL EXTOL YOU, my God, O King; and I will bless Your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless You, and I WILL PRAISE YOUR NAME FOREVER AND EVER. Great is the LORD, and GREATLY TO BE PRAISED; and His greatness is unsearchable. ONE GENERATION SHALL PRAISE YOUR WORKS TO ANOTHER, and shall declare Your mighty acts. I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, and on Your wondrous works. Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts, and I will declare Your greatness. They shall utter the memory of Your great goodness, and shall sing of Your righteousness. The LORD is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy. The LORD is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works. ALL YOUR WORKS SHALL PRAISE YOU, O LORD, and Your saints shall bless You. They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom, and talk of Your power, TO MAKE KNOWN to the sons of men His mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of His kingdom. Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Your dominion endures throughout all generations. 24

CHOSEN FOR HIS GLORY 2017 Exhortation –Chosen To Praise Him Isa 43:21 says, “… This people I have formed for Myself; they shall declare My praise.” We have been formed, redeemed and CHOSEN BY GOD TO PRAISE HIM. To praise means to bless, exalt, extol, magnify, worship, thank, laud and glorify Him. It is to lift up Jesus by expressing adoration, adulation, thanksgiving and admiration for who He is. Jesus Christ, in His Person, Nature and Ways, is of incomparable, indescribable and matchless WONDER, BEAUTY, MAGNIFICENCE, EXCELLENCE AND MAJESTY. In praising Him we publicly declare, broadcast, demonstrate, decree and make known His glory to one and all. It is to GIVE EVIDENCE AND MIRROR HIS EXCELLENT LIKENESS THROUGH US in our words, conduct, service, lifestyle, living and all that we are. The act of praising God rightfully belongs to God alone because it is a celebration and exaltation of Him concerning His unique and exceptional attributes that are peculiar only to Him. There is none like Him, and none before Him, none besides Him and none above Him. He stands alone as the only true and living God, King of kings and Lord of lords from eternity to eternity. He alone is worthy to be praised and worshipped to the ends of the earth. For this, God says that He will not give His glory and praises to another, because there is none like Him. We praise Him for the greatness of His attributes and for the multitudes of His glorious excellencies. Truly any praise that we offer to Him CAN SCARCELY BEAR ANY PROPORTION to the magnificence and worthiness of who He is. He is always far greater, far more excellent and far more glorious than any expression of praise we can bring Him. Therefore, we must never cease praising, thanking, exalting and worshipping Him in every form and nature with the deepest passion, with the greatest intensity, with the most extravagant love whether through our life, conduct, singing, praying, giving, rejoicing, confessing or serving. IN FACT, PRAISE HIM IN EVERYTHING WE ARE, EVERYTHING WE DO AND EVERYTHING WE SAY. We must put every effort to raise our praises to THE HIGHEST DEGREE of all that we can conceive or express. Psa 150:2 says, “PRAISE HIM for His mighty acts; PRAISE HIM according to His excellent greatness!” God has PRE-CHOSEN, PREDESTINED and PRE-ORDAINED US, HIS CHURCH, TO PRAISE HIM and to proclaim His greatness, His glory and His excellencies in all the world! 1 Pet 2:5-9 affirms that, “you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ . . . But you are a CHOSEN GENERATION, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that YOU MAY 25

Called to Solemn Assembly PROCLAIM THE PRAISES OF HIM who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” Just as God chose Jesus Christ to proclaim His excellencies here on earth that all may know Him, we too have been chosen by Jesus Christ to make Him known. He cannot choose the world, but His own redeemed, who have feasted on the riches of His salvation, to proclaim His praises. Once we were wretched and lost until He made us recipients of His excellent grace and redemption. When we praise Him, we are MIRRORING AND PROCLAIMING His excellencies and attributes which are unparalleled and matchless. EVERYTHING ABOUT JESUS CHRIST IS INDESCRIBABLY PRAISEWORTHY; His love, mercy, goodness, kindness, wisdom, power, purpose, and works. The list is eternally and infinitely inexhaustible. There is nothing about Him that is not inexpressibly, irrepressibly and breathtakingly awesome and splendid. No words have been formed yet that can adequately describe an iota of the glorious wonder of our Lord Jesus Christ. Every attribute of God is an expression of who He is; and every attribute is unsurpassed in magnificence, honor and grace. Whenever we reveal Him or His attributes in whatever we do; in our loving, giving, serving, preaching, praying, or testifying, we are declaring His praises. True praise is a thing of the heart and spirit that is birthed out of the knowledge of God. This knowledge is not informational, but revelational and experiential as described in 1 John. It comes from God having manifested Himself to us that we have personally seen, touched and laid hold Him. This is why He has chosen us, the church, to praise Him. Others may see and be blessed by His power, acts and kindness and they may even express praise, but it takes His own sons and daughters, whom He has redeemed with the Blood of the Lamb, whose hearts have feasted on His love, whose lives have been transformed by His grace and whose greatest blessing is intimacy with Him, to praise Him at an uncommon level of worship, passion, love, meaning and significance. The praises offered by the children of Israel when the Red Sea parted were different from the praises offered by Moses in his forty days and nights of prayer and fasting on his face seeking God. Ps 103:7 says, “He made known HIS WAYS to Moses, HIS ACTS to the children of Israel”. To Moses, God revealed intimate knowledge and revelation of Himself, but to Israel, God only revealed His acts because Moses worshipped God face to face; but Israel worshipped God from afar (Exo 33:6-10). INTIMACY OF KNOWLEDGE PRODUCES A DIFFERENT TYPE AND LEVEL OF PRAISE AND WORSHIP. The praiseworthiness of God must not be hidden or concealed; it must be boldly and extravagantly published and made known to the 26

CHOSEN FOR HIS GLORY 2017 ends of the earth. We are the BREATHING and LIVING TESTIMONY of WHO HE IS, WHAT HE IS LIKE and WHAT HE IS ALL ABOUT. There is none upon whom the praises and the excellencies of God can be more truly, clearly and authentically seen, touched, smelled and experienced except through the life of His redeemed people. As 1 John 1:1-2 declares, “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life— THE LIFE WAS MANIFESTED, AND WE HAVE SEEN, AND BEAR WITNESS, AND DECLARE TO YOU that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us . . .” We proclaim His praises so others can EXPERIENCE, TASTE, SEE and KNOW Him through us. If Jesus Christ, the Excellent One, dwells in us, we cannot help but praise and proclaim His excellencies to the world. We are the temples of His Holy and Excellent Spirit, and He has chosen us to be His breathing, living and walking testaments. When the world encounters us, they should encounter aspects of His excellencies. It is the excellency of His love that draws sinners; it is the excellency of His grace that gives hope; it is the excellency of His sacrifice that provides salvation; it is the excellency of His blood that takes away sin; it is the excellency of His power that heals the sick; it is the excellency of His authority that eternally crushes satan and causes His church to reign, and it is the excellency of His name that saves those who call upon Him! He has, indeed, CHOSEN US to live, mirror and proclaim His praises and excellencies in love, grace and power of the Holy Spirit. We are in the last of the last days when the warfare is fiercest and most brutal for the hearts and souls of man. The enemy knowing that his time is short is pulling back nothing to try to shroud the world in darkness and deception; to discourage the church from arising as the chosen ones; to block the Gospel from being preached and to prevent the excellencies of Jesus Christ from being manifested to the ends of the world. He knows that when the wonders of Christ are proclaimed and lifted up in this world, THE WORLD IS ILLUMINATED; the world can SEE THE LIGHT, the world can FIND THE WAY, the world can KNOW THE TRUTH and the world can RECEIVE THE LIFE. This is satan’s fiercest, darkest and yet LOSING HOUR, but the CHURCH'S GREATEST, FINEST, STRONGEST, MIGHTIEST AND MOST TRIUMPHANT HOUR in the power of the Holy Spirit. We, Christ’s chosen generation, are going to proclaim His praises in victory, in strength and in power through who we are, what we do and how we do. 27

Called to Solemn Assembly Through His church, God is ready to flood and awash the whole world with His love, power and glory in the manner and magnitude that man’s mind is not able to imagine. This He will do because the end is at hand, the last trumpet is about to be sounded, the Lamb’s wedding supper is ready and the final harvest must be brought in. His intention is that the whole world will be filled with the knowledge of His glory; AND THAT EVERYTHING THAT HAS BREATH WILL PRAISE HIM! He desires that every one be saved and none perish. Just as He had chosen Abraham, Moses, Israel, the apostles and the early church to proclaim His praises to the whole world, so He has chosen us, the church, to do the same. 1 Pet 2:5-9 clearly affirms this, “ you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to OFFER UP SPIRITUAL SACRIFICES acceptable to God through Jesus Christ . . . But you are a CHOSEN GENERATION, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, THAT YOU MAY PROCLAIM THE PRAISES OF HIM who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” How then should we proclaim His praises? In the same way Paul did when he wrote in 1 Cor 2:1-5 (NET), “When I came to you, brothers and sisters, I did not come with superior eloquence or wisdom as I PROCLAIMED THE TESTIMONY OF GOD . . . My conversation and my preaching were not with persuasive words of wisdom, BUT WITH A DEMONSTRATION OF THE SPIRIT AND OF POWER, so that your faith would not be based on human wisdom but on the power of God.” We must proclaim the praises of God through HIS HOLY SPIRIT and in HIS POWER and GRACE. When people see a demonstration of the Holy Spirit and His power, they will believe. Their salvation and faith will then be through the work of the Holy Spirit. Our proclamation is useless if it is in our ability, wisdom and cleverness, because it will not produce the fruit of salvation, life or faith in the hearers. When our proclamation is in the power of the Holy Spirit, blind eyes will see, stubborn hearts will yield, broken lives will mend, demons will flee and the lost will receive life and be saved. As we are chosen, we must seek to be the SPIRITFILLED, SPIRIT-EMPOWERED, PROPHETIC PROCLAIMERS, PREACHERS AND DEMONSTRATORS OF GOD’S PRAISES AND GLORY. The vessel may be weak like Paul, but the Spirit and the power who dwelled within Paul was Almighty, All-powerful, All-wise and All-able. Like Paul, may we proclaim His praises not in the eloquence of man’s speech but in the demonstration of the Spirit and power. Whenever the glory and excellencies of God are proclaimed in power, there is always a release of God’s anointing that brings changes. For example when: • Moses proclaimed His excellencies, Pharaoh and Egypt bowed to God 28

CHOSEN FOR HIS GLORY 2017 • Job proclaimed His excellencies, all powers of darkness were crushed • Paul and Silas proclaimed His excellencies, prison doors burst open • Apostles proclaimed His excellencies, churches were planted everywhere Is our life a praise declaration that this Jesus Christ is truly God and He is worthy to be worshipped, trusted, believed, loved and served with all of our heart? Are we, His church, proclaiming His praises as His chosen generation? Do we have evidences of Christ’s worthiness, honor, glory, might and sovereignty emanating through our lives? Can others see through us that Christ is indeed exceedingly good, exceedingly holy, exceedingly gracious, exceedingly beautiful, exceedingly precious, exceedingly trustworthy and exceedingly praiseworthy? WE ARE THE LIVING TESTAMENTS OF HIS GLORIOUS AND EXCELLENT SELF. ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL PRAISE WE, HIS CHURCH, CAN OFFER UP TO HIM IS TO WORSHIP HIM IN LOVE AND UNITY. That is why He calls us children, because we are to reflect the Father’s image; He calls us vessels, because we are to carry the Father’s glory and He calls us servants, because we are to minister His praises wherever we go. We must glorify Him as Creator-Maker, as Savior-Redeemer, as the Lamb of God, as Healer, as Provider, as MiracleWorker, as Prince of Peace, as Wonderful Counselor and as Heavenly Father. WHEN HIS PRAISES ARE DECLARED, THE WORLD WILL HEAR, SEE, KNOW, TASTE AND EXPERIENCE HIM that He is God Almighty, He is Life eternal, He is Love everlasting, He is Truth unchangeable, He is Light invincible, He is Peace unfailing, He is Joy unceasing, He is Forgiveness irrefutable, He is Defender unassailable, He is Savior incorruptible and He is God immortal. That is why, every time we proclaim the praiseworthiness of God, someone sees hope, someone sees life, someone sees the light, someone sees mercy and someone’s heart is opened to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Every time when the excellencies of God are revealed the hopeless gets hope, the broken-hearted gets healed, the oppressed gets set free, the lonely gets loved, the confused mind is made sound, the troubled gets peace, the sick gets healed, the dead gets raised, the lame gets to walk, the blind gets to see, the sinner gets saved, the lost is found and Jesus Christ is glorified! How then do we proclaim His praises in His Spirit and power? WE PROCLAIM THE PRAISES OF GOD WHEN WE: • preach the Gospel and declare His salvation • heal the sick and raise the dead • embrace the poor and touch the leper • mend the broken-hearted and set the prisoners free 29

Called to Solemn Assembly • take in the homeless and clothe the naked • love our enemies and forgive our accusers • walk the second mile and turn the other cheek • love Him first and then our neighbors as ourselves • and deny ourselves, pick up the cross and follow Him PROCLAIMING CHRIST’S EXCELLENCIES ESTABLISHES HIS KINGDOM ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN! CHOSEN FOR HIS GLORY 2017 Notes:

33

Called to Solemn Assembly DAY 4 – WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 4, 2017 PRAYER FOCUS – CHOSEN TO BE HOLY Lev 20:26 And YOU SHALL BE HOLY TO ME, for I THE LORD AM HOLY, and have SEPARATED YOU from the peoples, THAT YOU SHOULD BE MINE. Deu 28:9 “The Lord will ESTABLISH YOU AS A HOLY PEOPLE to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in His ways." Eph 1:3-6 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just AS HE CHOSE US IN HIM before the foundation of the world, that we should be HOLY AND WITHOUT BLAME BEFORE HIM in love, having PREDESTINED US TO ADOPTION AS SONS by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which HE MADE US ACCEPTED in the Beloved. Deu 14:2 For you are a HOLY PEOPLE to the LORD YOUR GOD, and the LORD HAS CHOSEN YOU to be A PEOPLE FOR HIMSELF, A SPECIAL TREASURE above all the peoples who are on the face of the earth. Heb 12:10 For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be PARTAKERS OF HIS HOLINESS. Deu 26:18 "Also today the Lord has proclaimed you to be his special people, just as He promised you, that you should keep all His commandments, and that he will set you high above all nations which He has made, IN PRAISE, IN NAME, AND IN HONOR, and that YOU MAY BE A HOLY PEOPLE TO THE LORD YOUR GOD, JUST AS HE HAS SPOKEN." 2 Tim 1:9 … who has saved us and CALLED US WITH A HOLY CALLING, not according to our works, but ACCORDING TO HIS OWN PURPOSE AND GRACE which was GIVEN TO US in Christ Jesus BEFORE TIME BEGAN . . . 34

CHOSEN FOR HIS GLORY 2017 Col 1:21-22 . . . you, who once were alienated and enemies . . . yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you HOLY, AND BLAMELESS, and above reproach in His sight. . . Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that YOU PRESENT YOUR BODIES A LIVING SACRIFICE, HOLY, ACCEPTABLE TO GOD, which IS YOUR REASONABLE SERVICE. Eph 4:24 . . . and that you PUT ON THE NEW MAN which was created according to God, in TRUE RIGHTEOUSNESS AND HOLINESS. 1 The 4:1-8 (NLT) Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we urge you in the name of the Lord Jesus TO LIVE IN A WAY THAT PLEASES GOD . . . GOD’S WILL IS FOR YOU TO BE HOLY, so stay away from all sexual sin. Then each of you will control his own body and LIVE IN HOLINESS AND HONOR— not in lustful passion like the pagans who do not know God and His ways . . . GOD HAS CALLED US TO LIVE HOLY LIVES, not impure lives. Therefore, anyone who refuses to live by these rules is not disobeying human teaching but is rejecting God, who gives His Holy Spirit to you. Col 3:3-10 For you died, and YOUR LIFE IS HIDDEN WITH CHRIST in God . . . Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire . . . which is idolatry. Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them. But now you yourselves are to put off all these: . . . wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language . . . , since you have PUT OFF THE OLD MAN WITH HIS DEEDS, and have PUT ON THE NEW MAN who is renewed in knowledge ACCORDING TO THE IMAGE OF HIM WHO CREATED HIM . . . 2 Cor 7:1 Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us CLEANSE OURSELVES from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, PERFECTING HOLINESS in the fear of God. Eph 4:24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in TRUE RIGHTEOUSNESS AND HOLINESS. 35

Called to Solemn Assembly Exhortation – Chosen To Be Holy HOLINESS IS GOD’S NATURE. He is holy, intrinsically holy – like honey is intrinsically sweet. When God chose us before the foundation of the world to be His sons and daughters, HE ALSO CHOSE US TO BE HOLY and blameless before Him. In fact, BEING HOLY IS INTEGRAL AND INTRINSIC TO OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD as His children. Eph 1 says that before the foundation of the world, God had already pre-chosen and predestined us to be adopted as His children and also to live holy and blameless before Him in His love. Everything concerning us being chosen for this purpose is already set in place by Him according to His own counsel, will and pleasure before time began. The Scriptures say that He had: • chosen us TO BE HOLY and WITHOUT BLAME before Him in love - Eph 1:4 • called us with a HOLY CALLING according to His own purpose and grace in Christ Jesus – 2 Tim 1:9 • proclaimed us to be HIS SPECIAL PEOPLE, setting us high above all nations in praise, name, and honor that we may be a HOLY PEOPLE - Deu 26:18 • chosen us TO BE PARTAKERS OF HIS HOLINESS - Heb 12:10 For this reason, in His foreknowledge, He also prepared and gave us the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world for our future redemption; and with the Lamb He also richly made provision for all that we will ever need to be holy and righteous before Him. He chose us before time began and before anything existed to be His and to be holy as He is holy. God chose us and loved us in advance. All His loving and kind intentions towards us pre-existed the creation of the world. The CALL TO BE HOLY is an OUTFLOW OF GOD’S AMAZING AND INCREDIBLE LOVE for us even before time began. Deu 26:18-19 says, “… the Lord has PROCLAIMED YOU to be HIS SPECIAL PEOPLE, just as He promised you, that you should keep all His commandments, and that He will set you high above all nations which He has made, in PRAISE, in NAME, and in HONOR, and that YOU MAY BE A HOLY PEOPLE to the LORD your God, just as He has spoken." We pre-existed in God’s heart by His choice before we existed in substance in our mother’s womb (Jer 1). We were the loving results of the Divine and Holy Dream Team called the Holy Trinity - God, the Father, God the Son and God, the Holy Spirit. Before They created the world, They dreamed us and conceived us in Their Spirit to be chosen and adopted as sons and daughters that we should live holy and blameless before Them in love. Therefore, being chosen to be holy before God was not an instruction He gave after the fall of man to fix sinful 36

CHOSEN FOR HIS GLORY 2017 man. It was not a corrective improvisation on His part to remedy man’s fall. It was a PRE-FALL, PRE-CREATION AND PRE-EXISTENCE CHOICE God had already made for us IN ADVANCE THAT WE SHOULD BE HOLY AND LIVE HOLY BEFORE HIM IN LOVE. Being holy as He is holy is FUNDAMENTAL AND CENTRAL to His relationship with us and His will for us. Heb 12:14 says, “Pursue peace with all people, and HOLINESS, without which no one will see the Lord.” Our holiness in Him is the IRREFUTABLE, INDISPUTABLE AND UNQUESTIONABLE EVIDENCE that we are the children of the MOST HIGH GOD, JESUS CHRIST, who alone is true and holy! Therefore, being holy before Him is our identity, testimony, message and ministry of hope and life to the lost world that Jesus Christ, He lives, He heals, He delivers and He saves! When God instructs us to be holy, it is not a postscript that in hindsight He found it necessary to add on to His will for us. HE HAD PREDESTINED US TO BE HIS OWN HOLY ONES! This is why He says over and over again, “Be holy for I am holy.” It is not about acting holy, appearing holy or doing holy acts but it is about “BEING” HOLY as He our Maker, Father, Savior and Redeemer is holy! Holiness begins with our new birth in Christ. The FOUNDATION to our living holy before God is living in our NEW BORN-AGAIN NATURE AND LIFE. It is the Christ’s life in us that produces the Christ’s nature in us causing us to BE HOLY, LIVE HOLY AND ACT HOLY. The first man God created in His holy image, but the FALLEN MAN HE REDEEMED INTO HIS HOLY IMAGE through the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Col 3:9-10 says, “Do not lie to one another, since you have PUT OFF THE OLD MAN WITH HIS DEEDS, and have PUT ON THE NEW MAN who is renewed in knowledge ACCORDING TO THE IMAGE OF HIM WHO CREATED HIM . . .” God does not choose us to be His sons and daughters and yet let us remain in the old sinful nature that came by Adam’s fall. He had paid the extreme and ultimate price through Jesus Christ to ensure our new birth, new nature, new life, new identity and new eternal home. Christ’s death on the cross completely dealt and did away with the law of sin and death that operates through the “old man." This old Adamic nature, with all its sinful characteristics, lusts, desires, propensities, inclinations and predispositions towards evil and unrighteousness, was annihilated by the cross. The nature of the first Adam was done away with through the cross and in its place the new nature of the second Adam (Jesus) is given to all who believe in Him. This new born-again nature comes with the propensities and predispositions towards holiness, righteousness and godliness. As much as 37

Called to Solemn Assembly Adam and Eve were new creations when God made them, so are we “new creations” when we are born-again through the blood of the Lamb. 2 Cor 5: 17 says, “Therefore, IF ANYONE IS IN CHRIST, HE IS A NEW CREATION; OLD THINGS HAVE PASSED AWAY; BEHOLD, ALL THINGS HAVE BECOME NEW.” We are “a new creation” in Christ Jesus – a new creation means a new living being with a new life, nature, identity and DNA. The old nature with its' former life of sin and death is gone. Being holy is more than a calling; IT IS PART OF OUR MAKE (FORM), OUR IDENTITY AND OUR DNA IN JESUS CHRIST. Refusing holiness is rejecting Him and rejecting all He has chosen us to be. Therefore, being holy is not about dealing with an old sin nature, which was already dead, done with and crucified with Jesus Christ, but it is about living, growing and maturing in our intrinsic new born-again nature of holiness, righteousness and blamelessness in Christ Jesus. Christ’s deathblow to man’s old sin nature on the cross is irrevocable, irreversible, irrefutable, untouchable by anything and infinitely final. The former life of the old sinful nature is dead, and now the eternal life of the new nature of Christ Jesus lives in us; and this NEW LIFE PRODUCES HOLINESS AFTER JESUS CHRIST. When the Holy Spirit deals with us concerning temptations and sins, He is not dealing with that old sinful nature which had already been fully and eternally dealt with by Jesus Christ. He is working on our new born-again holy nature that we do not give in to temptations or evil, for the purpose of maturing us into Christ’s glorious likeness. Ultimately, we will fully shine as His holy sons and daughters. Any living thing will act and behave according to its nature and DNA, not contrary to its nature. Therefore, a fish will swim and not fly. A duck will waddle and not soar. A pig will grunt and not sing. A dog will bark and not chirp. A lion will hunt and not be hunted. EACH WILL LIVE AND BEHAVE AFTER ITS OWN NATURE. When God says, “Be holy for I am holy,” He is saying that we are to be holy and live holy in accordance to our new nature, which is His nature. WHEN HE CHOOSES FOR US TO BE BORNAGAIN IN LOVE, HE ALSO CHOOSES FOR US TO BEAR HIS NATURE IN LOVE. Our born-again nature loves holiness, righteousness and purity. A fish that will not swim is sick; a dog that will not bark is sick; a lion that will not hunt is sick and a child of God who will not live holy is sick. When we do not live holy before Him in love, we probably are spiritually sick. Something foreign has intruded our nature. It is like being infected with a virus. Our body does not function normal; we lose appetite for what is healthy and we lose the desire to do what is healthy. GOD IS NOT ONLY HOLY, HE LOVES HOLINESS. However, sometimes we will face the battle between walking in Christ’s holy nature and refusing 38

CHOSEN FOR HIS GLORY 2017 the habits of the old and carnal nature of the fallen Adam. We are told to put off the old man, the one that came through Adam’s fall because this old man had already been dealt with by Jesus on the cross; it is dead and buried. Therefore, when we are born-again we have the new nature of Jesus Christ. It does not mean that satan is not furiously attacking to try to get us to pick up and put back on the former habits and sins of the old nature. We are no longer dealing with an old nature, we are dealing with habits, sins and things of the old nature that are already crucified on the cross. Such habits and sins satan is always trying to get us to pick up and put on again. It is like putting on again the once discarded dirty, soiled and stench-filled clothes on a newly clean, washed and perfumed body. When we put on the sinful habits of the old nature, not only are the members of our body defiled, our clean heart becomes defiled. WHEN BORN-AGAIN PEOPLE SIN, IT IS NOT BECAUSE OF A SINFUL NATURE; IT IS BECAUSE THEY YIELD TO SINFUL TEMPTATIONS. When Jesus was tempted by satan, Jesus did not have a sin nature. That temptation did not come from lust within Him, it came from the tempter. Jesus did not have to crucify a sin nature, because He had none; but He had to resist and refuse the act of sin that satan was trying to get Him to put on. He had to put off the temptation. Satan will challenge our born-again nature but when WE KEEP WALKING IN OUR NEW NATURE, PRACTICING OUR NEW WALK OF HOLINESS AND RIGHTEOUSNESS, these old habits will lose the power of temptation and enticement over us. New habits of holiness and righteousness will form, grow and take over in ACCORDANCE AND CONFORMATION to our new nature in Christ Jesus. We are the temples of His Holy Spirit and we will have nothing to do with anything that will defile this temple. We will guard our temple to live holy and pleasing to God. We must put away all unrighteousness and separate ourselves from all things that are foreign to Christ’s nature in us. We must have nothing to do with anything that is unclean and defiled because we cannot contaminate our new born-again nature paid for by the blood of Jesus. Hebrews admonishes us by saying that we are not to trample on the blood of Jesus Christ. If we keep sinning against God and our God-given nature, we are trampling on the blood of Jesus. Pro 28:1 says, “The wicked flee when no one pursues, but THE RIGHTEOUS ARE BOLD AS A LION.” As we live holy before God, there is a faith, courage, boldness, power and anointing that He gives to us. There is a FAITH, A HOPE AND A LOVE that we will consistently and victoriously live in because there is now NO CONDEMNATION TO THOSE WHO ARE IN CHRIST JESUS. There is an unshakable inward security, sureness, certainty and confidence that we are His and He is ours. This is the same security, 39

Called to Solemn Assembly sureness, certainty and confidence that Jesus Christ walked in before His Father. Not for one moment was He unsure, confused or shaken. He knew He was of His Father – He came from His Father and He was His Father’s. He breathed, lived and walked holy before His Father in love. When He drew His last breath on the cross, even through His broken, bloodied and lifeless body, THE TESTIMONY THAT HE WAS HIS FATHER’S HOLY SON COULD NOT BE DENIED. Those that witnessed His last breath cried out of inward revelation and conviction that, “TRULY THIS MAN WAS THE SON OF GOD!” (Mark 15:39) Such was the faith, courage and boldness of these who lived holy before God and overcame: • Daniel in the lions’ den • Job in the midst of adversities • Joseph in the pit, slavery and prison • Moses in facing opposition, rebellion and suffering • Early church and apostles in the midst of persecution Ultimately, when we live holy before God as He is holy, we are His Good News, His Gospel and His Message to the world, that the WORLD MAY KNOW that THEY TOO HAVE BEEN CHOSEN BY HIM to be adopted and accepted in Him to be holy and blameless before Him. 2 Cor 7:1 – Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us CLEANSE OURSELVES, from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, PERFECTING HOLINESS in the fear of God. CHOSEN FOR HIS GLORY 2017 Notes:

43

Called to Solemn Assembly DAY 5 – THURSDAY, JANUARY 5, 2017 PRAYER FOCUS – CHOSEN TO SEEK HIM Psa 53:2 (NLT) GOD LOOKS DOWN from heaven on the entire human race; HE LOOKS TO SEE if anyone is truly wise, IF ANYONE SEEKS GOD. Psa 14:2 The LORD looks down from heaven upon the children of men, TO SEE if THERE ARE ANY WHO UNDERSTAND, WHO SEEK GOD. Amos 5:4-5 For thus says the LORD to the house of Israel: “SEEK ME AND LIVE; But do not seek Bethel, nor enter Gilgal, nor pass over to Beersheba; for Gilgal shall surely go into captivity, and Bethel shall come to nothing.” Psa 69:32 The humble shall see this and be glad; and YOU WHO SEEK GOD, YOUR HEARTS SHALL LIVE. Psa 24:6 THIS IS JACOB, THE GENERATION of those WHO SEEK HIM, WHO SEEK YOUR FACE. Hos 12:3-4 (NLT) Even in the womb, Jacob struggled with his brother; when he became a man, he even fought with God. Yes, he WRESTLED with the Angel and won. He WEPT and PLEADED for a blessing from Him. There at Bethel HE MET GOD FACE TO FACE, and GOD SPOKE TO HIM. . . Psa 27:8 When You said, “SEEK MY FACE,” My heart said to You, “YOUR FACE, LORD, I WILL SEEK.” Deu 4:29 “But from there you will seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him IF YOU SEEK HIM WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL." 1 Chr 16:10-11 Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the LORD! SEEK THE LORD and His strength; SEEK HIS FACE EVERMORE!

44

CHOSEN FOR HIS GLORY 2017 Psa 27:4 ONE THING I HAVE DESIRED of the Lord, THAT WILL I SEEK: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to BEHOLD THE BEAUTY OF THE LORD, and to INQUIRE IN HIS TEMPLE. Psa 63:1-2 O God, You are my God; EARLY WILL I SEEK YOU; MY SOUL THIRSTS FOR YOU; my flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water. So I HAVE LOOKED FOR YOU in the sanctuary, to see Your power and Your glory. Psa 84:1-2 How lovely is Your tabernacle, O LORD of hosts! My soul LONGS, yes, even FAINTS for the courts of the LORD; MY HEART AND MY FLESH CRY OUT FOR THE LIVING GOD. Gen 32:24-30 Then Jacob was left alone; and a Man wrestled with him until the breaking of day. Now when He saw that He did not prevail against him, He touched the socket of his hip; and the socket of Jacob’s hip was out of joint as He wrestled with him. And He said, “Let Me go, for the day breaks.” But he said, “I WILL NOT LET YOU GO unless You bless me!” So He said to him, “What is your name?” He said, “Jacob.” And He said, “Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed.” Then Jacob asked, saying, “Tell me Your name, I pray.” And He said, “Why is it that you ask about My name?” AND HE BLESSED HIM THERE. So Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: “FOR I HAVE SEEN GOD FACE TO FACE, and my life is preserved.” Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that HE IS A REWARDER of those who DILIGENTLY SEEK HIM. Exhortation – Chosen To Seek Him All of God’s creation worships Him, but IT IS MAN THAT HE HAS CHOSEN TO SEEK HIM. In fact, God is perpetually searching throughout the earth for seekers of His face. Psa 53:2 (NLT) says, “GOD LOOKS DOWN from heaven on the ENTIRE human race; HE LOOKS TO SEE if anyone is truly wise, IF ANYONE SEEKS GOD." He is not searching for the gifted, talented, sacrificial or intelligent but He is searching for those whose hearts are turned towards Him to seek Him as Paul, Moses, Daniel and David did. 45

Called to Solemn Assembly These had sought God’s face with their whole heart, soul and being because they wanted to know God, love God and worship God. Amos 5:4-5 says, “For thus says the LORD to the house of Israel: “SEEK ME AND LIVE; but do not seek Bethel, nor enter Gilgal, nor pass over to Beersheba; for Gilgal shall surely go into captivity, and Bethel shall come to nothing. ”Bethel, Gilgal and Beersheba were places of historical and religious significance to Israel and yet God’s clear and strong call to Israel was not to seek these but TO SEEK HIM AND LIVE. All else would come to nothing except God. Likewise, God has chosen us to seek His face, not His hands, His power, His deeds or His provisions. CHILDREN OF GOD SEEK THE FACE of their Heavenly Father; HEATHENS SEEK THE HAND, power and provisions of their gods. CHILDREN OF GOD SEEK FOR INTIMACY and relationship with their Father God; HEATHENS SEEK FOR NECESSITIES and blessings from their gods. God has made it succinctly clear that HIS FIRST PRIORITY AND PASSION concerning us is that WE SHOULD SEEK HIM. He is seeking for seekers of Him because He is seeking for lovers and worshippers of Him. Laid down seekers of God are also laid down lovers and worshippers of God because they are hungry and thirsty for Him – TO KNOW HIM, TO LOVE HIM AND TO WORSHIP HIM. We cannot talk about seeking without talking about love and hunger. Just because we know we have to seek God’s face, does not mean that we will; but WHERE THERE IS LOVE, THERE WILL BE HUNGER. WHERE THERE IS HUNGER, THERE WILL BE SEEKING AND PURSUING. God’s chosen generation must be a thirsty, hungry and passionate generation for His love, His presence and His glory. Seeking God means to DELIBERATELY TURN our attention, our focus, our strength and our whole being TOWARDS GOD with a searching and yearning heart TO KNOW HIM, TO TOUCH HIM, TO GAZE UPON HIM and TO LOVE HIM. It is to be willing to wait on Him, attend to Him, meditate on Him and gaze upon Him with a hunger to give more of ourselves to Him so that we will have more and more of Him. IT IS A THIRST TO SINK DEEPER AND DEEPER INTO ABIDING IN HIM AND HE IN US. It is to seek Him until we see Him with our own eyes, hear Him with our own ears, and touch Him with our own hands (1 John 1). It is totally seeking for a PERSONAL, INDIVIDUAL, INTIMATE, ONE-ON-ONE AND FACE TO FACE relationship with Jesus Christ, our Lord. We are not seeking just for an encounter with Him, WE ARE SEEKING FOR A RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM. When we seek God’s face, He becomes our one focus, our one passion and our one pursuit; everything else becomes insignificant and irrelevant to us. The passion of the pursuit of God will totally diminish all other pursuits till they become like worthless dung as Paul puts it in Phi 3:8 (KJV), 46

CHOSEN FOR HIS GLORY 2017 “Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss FOR THE EXCELLENCY OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF CHRIST JESUS my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and DO COUNT THEM BUT DUNG, THAT I MAY WIN CHRIST.” This is the passion of seeking Him and to this He has called and chosen us. It is as Moses sought the Lord. Moses sought His face not His deeds, Moses sought His presence not His promise, Moses sought His glory not His blessing; Moses sought His will not His vindication and Moses sought His love not His promotion. Just as Moses did, His face alone we must seek, not provision, not pleasure, not possession, not honor, not justice, not vindication, not personal rights, not acknowledgement and not even our own life. He is our all in all – the REASON, the PASSION and the CENTER of our being and living. Jesus Christ, our Lord, our King, our Life, our Breath, our Love, our Passion and our Priority. There is none above Him, none before Him and none besides Him. He, alone, is the One we look for, live for and yearn for. Because God has chosen us to seek Him, then MAKE SEEKING HIM OUR CALLING IN LIFE and make it the CENTER OF OUR BEING. Make it our first priority, passion and pursuit and let nothing overshadow or overtake it. Put it at the forefront of our mind, focus, drive and energy. In fact, SEEK HIM TO LIVE and LIVE TO SEEK HIM! Psa 27:4 says, “ONE THING I HAVE DESIRED of the Lord, THAT WILL I SEEK: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in His temple.” Let seeking the face of Jesus Christ be the “one thing” we desire of the Lord because the one thing we long for is to “behold” His beauty and to “inquire in His temple." Psa 24:6 says, “THIS IS JACOB, THE GENERATION of those WHO SEEK HIM, WHO SEEK YOUR FACE." Every generation of believers is a Jacob generation – a chosen generation to seek God’s face as Jacob did. The Jacob generation is a hungry and fearlessly relentless and prevailing generation when it comes to seeking God’s face. Nothing can dissuade, discourage or prevent them from laying hold of God because that is the one thing that consumes their heart more than anything else. Jacob sought God with an intense desperation, a relentless resolve and an enduring tenacity. He doggedly persisted in wrestling with God until daybreak and would not yield or give up. When God tested him by saying, “Let Me go,” Jacob in all his bruising weariness answered, “I will not let You go until You bless me.” Jacob decided that no matter what it would cost, how long it would take or how hard it would be; HE WOULD NOT STOP GRAPPLING WITH GOD UNTIL HE HAD PREVAILED AND LAID HOLD OF HIM. He had come to realize that the only important thing in life was apprehending God because LIFE WAS NOT WORTH A DIME WITHOUT GOD. He sought 47

Called to Solemn Assembly God in deep, extreme, relentless wrestling and travailing. GOD WAS ALL THAT HE WANTED AND NEEDED. It was no longer the face of his father, mother, brother or even Rachel’s (his most-loved wife) that he sought but God’s. It was not the first-born right, blessings and honor that he sought, but the face of God. His heart had given up all these so that he could encounter God face to face. JACOB MOVED AND AFFECTED GOD BY HIS RELENTLESS PURSUIT AND GOD CHANGED EVERYTHING ABOUT HIM. When Jacob, as one man, arose to seek God alone, he prevailed with God, and God moved mightily on his behalf. What would God do, if His church arises in unity to seek God as one man? The time has come for us to unite as one generation and totally disregard and hold in contempt the divisive boundaries the world wants to put on us according to the likes of ethnicity, age, social status or world-view. When the Jacob generation seeks God’s face as ONE GENERATION, they become the generation of world-changers and history-makers because their passion and hunger for God move His heart and hand. SUCH IS THE ANOINTING AND THE POWER THAT WILL EMANATE FROM THIS JACOB GENERATION THAT CHANGES THE WORLD. They change the world NOT BY DEPENDING on their own intellect, ingenuity, creativity and new ideas, BUT BY SEEKING GOD. All these things like intellect, ingenuity and creativity, God will give us as tools, BUT HIS PRESENCE, HIS INTIMACY, HIS POWER, HIS REVELATION AND HIS ANOINTING ONLY COME BY SEEKING HIM! The Jacob generation does not seek God just to meet personal needs; WE SEEK HIM BECAUSE HE IS ALL WE NEED. Yet just because we need Him, we may not seek Him; but if we love Him we will hunger for Him and we will seek Him. Seeking Him to meet personal needs is a necessity issue, but seeking Him because of love is a heart issue which arises from a personal desire, longing and wanting for the very Person of Jesus Christ and His intimacy and relationship. Heathens seek their gods based on personal needs; sons and daughters of God seek their Father based on love and kingdom relationship. Need alone is self-centered; love is God-centered. Therefore, true seekers long to see His face, yearn to behold His beauty, thirst to please Him and crave to be in His presence. Seekers will lay down all just to have a glimpse of His glory and to be intimately engaged with Him. Seekers of His face are not satisfied with second hand news about Him; they must see Him with their own eyes, touch Him with their own hands, feel Him with their own heart and hear Him with their own ears. Seekers love His presence beyond His promise; seekers love to please Him beyond being blessed by Him and seekers love to do His will beyond their own will. Seekers seek for that word from Him, for 48

CHOSEN FOR HIS GLORY 2017 that glimpse of Him, for that encounter with Him and for that intimacy with Him. Seekers’ whole affection, attention, passion and pursuit are ENWRAPPED AROUND HIS PERSON and nothing else. Seeking His face is central to their being alive. Without it, they have no reason for being or living. Such seekers are inevitably and perpetually filled with His presence, radiating His glory and emanating His aroma wherever they are. We, the church, must return to seeking the face of Jesus as the Jacob generation. JESUS IS SEARCHING FOR LAID DOWN SEEKERS, WORSHIPPERS AND LOVERS OF HIM who will live in His presence, love His presence, carry His presence and minister His presence wherever we are. He is seeking for seekers in whom He can fully dwell and revel in loving intimacy, fully reveal Himself, and fully manifest His glory. He is not seeking for the successful, creative, gifted, highly educated, wellknown, well-liked or for the converse; He is simply seeking for seekers of His face; He is simply seeking for lovers and worshippers of Him. All the success, creativity, giftedness and accomplishments, they do not move or impress God’s heart but pursuit of Him does. He is seeking for the Abrahams to speak to as a man to a friend; He is seeking for the Moseses to show His glory and face; He is seeking for the Davids whom He can call a man after His own heart and He is seeking for the Pauls who count all things as loss to seek to know Him. We cannot be people who serve Him with diligence and sacrifice and yet we neither know Him nor are near Him. We cannot be people who preach Him to the ends of the world and yet fail to carry one smidgen of His presence or one whiff of His fragrance upon us. Seekers cannot help but be RICHLY SATURATED WITH HIS LOVE AND HIS PRESENCE. Seekers cannot help but be OVERFLOWING WITH REVELATION AND KNOWLEDGE OF HIM through personal experience with Him. Mary was a seeker, but Martha, her sister, was a server. Seekers know Him by seeing Him face to face; servers serve Him to get the job done. Seekers delight to do His will; servers delight to be known as one who got the job done. Seekers seek His love, servers seek their own agenda. Seekers seek for His will, His presence, His intimacy, His pleasure, His delight and His glory; servers seek for their own success, satisfaction, recognition and ambition. Martha although working hard to serve Jesus was not aware she was serving her own preferences and agenda; but Mary sought the face of Jesus at His feet. When we seek His face to live, we will go out reflecting His likeness and radiating His imbibing glory because we have been so saturated in Him. When we seek Him, we will be like sponges in His presence drinking and absorbing all of Him into all of us because we drink, we feed, we experience, we encounter, we relate and we love Him. Moses 49

Called to Solemn Assembly prayed to Him saying, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.” (Exo 33:15 NIV) Let us live and breathe to seek Him. Set our heart to seek Him, until He is nearer and dearer than any other person or thing in our life. CHOSEN FOR HIS GLORY 2017 DAY 6 – FRIDAY, JANUARY 6, 2017 PRAYER FOCUS - CHOSEN TO BE ANOINTED Acts 10:38 (NLT) And you know that GOD ANOINTED Jesus of Nazareth with the HOLY SPIRIT and with POWER. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. Exo 28:41 "So you shall put them on Aaron your brother and on his sons with him. You shall ANOINT them, CONSECRATE them, and SANCTIFY them, that they may minister to Me as priests." Isa 61:1-3 “THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD GOD IS UPON ME, because the LORD HAS ANOINTED ME to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn, to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that HE MAY BE GLORIFIED." Psa 89:19-29 (NLT) Long ago You spoke in a vision to Your faithful people. You said, “I have raised up a warrior. I HAVE SELECTED HIM from the common people TO BE KING. I have found my servant David. I HAVE ANOINTED HIM WITH MY HOLY OIL. I will steady him with My hand; with My powerful arm I will make him strong. His enemies will not defeat him, nor will the wicked overpower him. I will beat down his adversaries before him and destroy those who hate him. My faithfulness and unfailing love will be with him, and by My authority he will grow in power. I will extend his rule over the sea, his dominion over the rivers. And he will call out to Me, ‘You are my Father, my God, and the Rock of my salvation.’ I will make him My firstborn son, the mightiest king on earth. I will love him and be kind to him forever; my covenant with him will never end. I will preserve an heir for him; his throne will be as endless as the days of heaven. 1 John 2:27 But the ANOINTING WHICH YOU HAVE RECEIVED FROM HIM ABIDES IN YOU, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing 55

Called to Solemn Assembly teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him. Psa 23:5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; YOU ANOINT MY HEAD WITH OIL; my cup runs over. 2 Cor 1:20-22 (MEV) For all the promises of God in Him are “Yes,” and in Him “Amen,” to the glory of God through us. Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and HAS ANOINTED US IS GOD, who also has sealed us and ESTABLISHED THE GUARANTEE WITH THE SPIRIT IN OUR HEARTS. Isa 10:27 It shall come to pass in that day that his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, and his yoke from your neck, and THE YOKE WILL BE DESTROYED BECAUSE OF THE ANOINTING OIL. 1 Sam 26:23 “May the LORD repay every man for his righteousness and his faithfulness; for the LORD delivered you into my hand today, but I would not stretch out my hand against the LORD's anointed." 1 Chr 16:22 Saying, “DO NOT TOUCH MY ANOINTED ONES, and do My prophets no harm." Exhortation – Chosen To Be Anointed When God chose us before the foundation of the world to be loved, accepted and adopted as His sons and daughters, He also chose to anoint us for His kingdom purpose. Whatever or whoever God chooses, He also anoints with His Holy Spirit, because His is the power that brings things to pass. Isa 61:1-3 says, “THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD GOD IS UPON ME, because the LORD HAS ANOINTED ME to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn, to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that HE MAY BE GLORIFIED.” For example, before God formed the world, the Bible says that the Holy 56

CHOSEN FOR HIS GLORY 2017 Spirit was hovering over the surface of the earth, meaning the Holy Spirit engulfed the whole earth in His presence, anointing and power. In that anointing, God spoke and things were formed. Just as God instructed Moses to select, consecrate and sanctify Aaron and his sons as priests to minister before Him, GOD ALSO INSTRUCTED MOSES TO MAKE SPECIAL ANOINTING OIL TO ANOINT THEM. Exo 40:15 says, “YOU SHALL ANOINT THEM, as you anointed their father, that THEY MAY MINISTER TO ME AS PRIESTS; for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.” God does not choose us for His kingdom purpose without CONSECRATING and ANOINTING US AS HIS CHOSEN ONES. Without His anointing, we cannot glorify Him or serve His kingdom purpose. Glorifying Him in His purpose must be in His might, His enablement and His awesome anointing moving through His vessels. There are many examples of how God both chose and anointed His people for His ministry and glory like the anointing of Aaron and his sons to be priests (Exo 40:15); the anointing of David to be king (1 Sam 16:1-13) and the anointing of Jesus to minister in power as the Lamb of God (Acts 10:38). Psa 89:19-37 (NLT) reveals that when God selected and chose David out of common people to be king, He also anointed him for that assignment and ministry; “Long ago You spoke in a vision to Your faithful people. You said, 'I have raised up a warrior. I HAVE SELECTED HIM from the common people TO BE KING. I have found my servant David. I HAVE ANOINTED HIM WITH MY HOLY OIL.'” God also backed up His chosen and anointed one, David, with all of Himself. When God chooses and anoints, HE ENSURES THAT ALL OF WHO HE IS AND ALL OF HEAVEN FOLLOW HIS CHOICE AND ANOINTING, just as He assured David that David would have all of: • His power, protection and provision - v 21 “I will steady him with My hand; with my powerful arm I will make him strong. “ • His assurance of victory over his enemies - v 22-23 “His enemies will not defeat him, nor will the wicked overpower him. I will beat down his adversaries before him and destroy those who hate him.” • His faithfulness and unfailing love – v 24 “My faithfulness and unfailing love will be with him, and by My authority he will grow in power. “ • His assurance of success and dominion – v 25 “I will extend his rule over the sea, his dominion over the rivers”. • His intimacy and love – v 26-28 “And he will call out to Me, ‘You are my Father, my God, and the Rock of my salvation' … I will love him and be kind to him forever; My covenant with him will never end. “ 57

Called to Solemn Assembly • His commitment and faithfulness – v 33-34 “But I will never stop loving him nor fail to keep My promise to him. No, I will not break my covenant; I will not take back a single word I said. “ God has not changed. When He anoints His chosen ones, He also backs them up with all of Himself just as He did David. Therefore, His chosen and anointed ones will serve His kingdom purpose and glorify Him in power, might and grace, and nothing can stop them or defeat them. They are anointed to overcome, to prevail and to accomplish against all odds. Like David, WE ARE NOT ONLY GOD’S CHOSEN GENERATION, WE ARE GOD’S ANOINTED GENERATION FOR HIS KINGDOM, HIS PURPOSE AND HIS GLORY! 1 Chr 16:22 says, “DO NOT TOUCH MY ANOINTED ONES, and do My prophets no harm.” GOD HONORS AND PROTECTS HIS SPIRIT, HIS ANOINTING AND HIS ANOINTED ONES. It is imperative for us to treat His Holy Spirit and anointing with the greatest love, honor and respect. We also need to learn to respect the anointing of God upon His chosen vessels that we move united as His chosen and anointed generation. In unity we will do the “greater works” that our Lord Jesus Christ spoke of. IN UNITY WE WILL SERVE HIS KINGDOM, COMPLETE HIS PURPOSE AND GLORIFY HIM IN ALL THE WORLD. What can even stand against the united anointing of God upon His Jacob generation? NOTHING CAN STAND AGAINST OR WITHSTAND US– no one, no strategy, no warfare, no power and no entity. LET US HUNGER AND THIRST FOR MORE AND MORE OF HIS HOLY SPIRIT THAT WE BE ANOINTED IN FULLNESS FOR HIS GLORY! Note – Tonight is the anointing night. Take time to prepare to come in great faith and expectation to receive the mighty infilling and anointing of the Holy Spirit. According to the measure of hunger and expectation, so we will receive.
