Put your trust in quality In order to maximize their potential, photovoltaic systems require competent planning and high quality components. The quality of the components is particularly important because the profitability of the system is dependent on a range of factors, such as the durability of individual components, the rate of electrical yield, and the overall operating life of the system as a whole. For this reason, it is important to carefully select your photovoltaic component supplier.

2

Solar as a system Electricity and the sun–for us, these two elements are closely linked. This is because photovoltaic technology provides us with a method of generating electricity whose future potential is unbound. This is why, for the last 20 years, we have placed our bets and gone all-in with the sun. We understand solar power plants as a system. For us, this means bringing people and technology together, and we unify expertise in the field with rigorous demands for quality. We follow a clear concept with both our customers and our suppliers, and count as one of the most experienced providers of solar systems in Germany. Headquarter in Tübingen, Germany

SVENDBORG, DÄNEMARK

Our customers know that we are always giving our best. In 2015, this was again confirmed in writing: for the fourth time in a row, we have been awarded the prestigious “TOP PV Supplier” seal of quality from the Bonn based market research institute EuPD Research. The “TOP PV Supplier” quality seal illustrates that we have been given the highest possible marks from the leading installers in the industry. But we have not stopped here. Because quality and good service are so important to us, we have also gotten certified in these areas by both TÜV South and ISO 9001. This gives us a head start that pays out for our customers.

Here at BayWa r.e. Solar Energy Systems, we have strict requirements regarding the selection of our products, and we offer only the highest quality products from industry leading manufacturers. Our top-quality suppliers are well known for their years of experience in the photovoltaic industry and the consistently high-quality of their products. In addition to quality, the components we offer must meet certain criteria to ensure a maximum yield. In this brochure we would like to provide you with some of the most important selection criteria that we use for the solar modules and inverters in our current portfolio. In this way, you and your customers can have the most important information at a glance. Because high-quality components are a pre-requisite for a long lasting investment with maximum yields–and thus secure your investment in photovoltaic systems. Apart of solar modules and inverters we deliver complete photovoltaic systems and individual components to meet your exact needs. Whether its CE-labelling, RAL certification, Certipedia from TÜV Rheinland, or building approval permits—with our mounting system, you always have safety at your side.

3

Solar modules The hearts of every photovoltaic system are high quality solar modules. Their performance capacity determines the overall electrical yield of your installation—and thus your return on investment. This is why you will find only the highest quality solar modules in our product p ortfolio, because we know that these standards increase the profitability for our customers.

Notes

21

Inverters Inconspicuous but critical—the inverter connects your solar modules to the public electrical grid and performs important functions for your system: it converts the electricity generated by the modules from DC to AC, determines the operating point of the modules, monitors the electrical network, and feeds the converted electricity into the public grid. The better an inverter can perform these functions, the higher the productivity of your photovoltaic system.

22

The proven SMA inverters are perfectly matched to the most diverse applications. Whilst the inverter without transformer achieves a uniquely high efficiency at a low weight, the inverter with transformer is the first choice in all those applications where DC separation or an application requiring any kind of solar cell technology is needed. Flexibility, communication and ease of handling. This is what makes the transformerless PIKO string inverters by the long-standing, familyowned company KOSTAL stand out. PIKO inverters are developed and produced at the company’s German headquarters and are subjected to strict quality assurance during final testing. Fronius devices impress thanks to their excellent user friendliness, high performance and reliability. The Galvo, Symo and Eco series allow photovoltaic systems to be constructed extremely flexibly, whether for private household use or for megawatt-class generators. ABB is a leading player in energy and automation technology and works together with many customers in the energy, industrial and retail sectors. ABB inverters guarantee top efficiency and maximum energy yield. They are compact, high quality and extremely cost effective. Delta has been working successfully in the field of high yield power electronics for over 40 years and since 1999 has been developing high quality, efficient solar inverters. The company’s comprehensive product portfolio includes versions with and without transformers, for single and three-phase networks, for all module types and all system sizes. The extraordinary robustness and excellent thermal properties of Delta inverters guarantee high reliability even under difficult external usage conditions. The innovative Israeli company SolarEdge was founded in 2006, produces power electronics for solar power generators, and has developed their own system that combines performance optimizers and inverters. SolarEdge won the Intersolar Award in 2012, and have enjoyed continually growing sales numbers over the past few years while expanding their business to over 50 countries worldwide. KACO is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of solar inverters. Development and production for the European market takes place at their headquarters in Neckarsulm, Germany in a state-of-the-art assembly centre.
