The  Brazilian  solar  resource  is  exceptional;;  its  lowest   irradiation  is  better  than  most  of  Europe’s  highest •

The annual mean of daily horizontal global solar irradiation in any region of Brazil higher than 1,500 kWh/m2, much greater than those for the majority of the European countries



The maximum solar irradiation value is 2,372 kWh/m2;; it occurs in the northern part of Bahia state



The lowest global solar irradiation – 1,550 kWh/m2 – occurs on the North shore of Santa Catarina
