CATV networks are used to transfer high frequency signals from source to household installation, they also use return path band with low frequency signal under 30MHz (e.g.: Internet connection or Pay TV). In order to indicate the outer conductor ability to prevent the inner signal and outside disturbance to interfere with each other, it requires 2 key features: Screening efficiency and Transfer Impedance. According to EN50117, coaxial cables are categorized in different classes, based on shielding efficiency.
