Warning! To ensure reliable operation of Flipbox Software Suite, the following is recommended: 1. To install one of Aero themes to Microsoft Windows with transparency on. 2. Availability of a switched on and operating sound output device (otherwise the screen of iOS devices on Flipbox Software Suite will be unavailable).

1.2. Download the Installer 1. Go to www.flipbox.net. Press DOWNLOAD FREE TRIAL.

3. A message with a link for downloading Flipbox Software Suite will be sent to specified e-mail. Click the link. Downloading will begin automatically (depending on browser settings, you may need to confirm file download).

1.3. Installation 1. Start FlipboxInstall_vX.X.X.exe. 2. Select the installation language. Press «OK».

Administrator manual 4. Read and accept License Agreement conditions. Press «Next».

5. Select components to install. To achieve maximum efficiency and stability of Flipbox Software Suite operation, we strongly recommend you to select the full installation parameter. Press «Next».

6. Set up parameters: to create an icon on the desktop and to launch Flipbox Software Suite automatically when the Microsoft Windows OS starts. Press «Next».

8. Please wait until Flipbox Software Suite is installed.

9. Fill the TrueConf registration form to set up video conferencing and press Register. After successful registration, press «OK». An example of completed entry fields:

Warning! If your account already exists, press Login —> Specify your TrueConf ID and Password. Press «Next». Warning! We strongly recommend you to create a new TrueConf ID and an individual e-mail account for each Flipbox Software Suite.

Administrator manual Error: Perhaps this TrueConf ID or e-mail is already in use. Solution: Change TrueConf ID or e-mail. Try to register once again. Error: Can’t connect to the server. Please check Internet connection. Solution: Check Internet connection and try again. If the error appears again, please skip this step and set up video conference after Fipbox Software Suite is installed. 10. When installing the Shark Codec Pack codec, the Flipbox Software Suite Installer will show a warning message: Shark Codec Pack is going to be installed now. You can close all appearing popup windows. Press «OK» and close all pop-up windows. 11. Completion of the Installation Wizard. Press «Finish».

1.4. Activation On first run Flipbox Software Suite will ask you to enter an Activation Key. Enter the key. If you don’t have the Activation Key, please contact your dealer.

Error: Activation is invalid. Please verify activation key. Solution: Make sure that the Activation Key is entered correctly. If no error was found, please contact your dealer.

Version 2.4.3 If you need a trial full-function application version, press Continue trial. It is possible to use the Flipbox Software Suite in the trial mode for 30 days since the first launch. If you need to purchase a Flipbox Software Suite key, please visit www.f lipbox.net, the PRICING section, and fill an application. A message with contacts of your regional dealer will be sent to the specified e-mail. Error:

Flipbox Software Suite requires Windows Aero and transparency features to be enabled. Please enable Aero: Start→Control Panel→Personalization→Aero Themes Solution: Enable one of Aero themes and its transparency. Error:

Port 80 is busy. Web server Flipbox is unavailable (can not download the Flipbox Agent for showing desktop of Windows PC). For the correct operation please free the port 80. Solution: Free the port 80. «Desktop» — allows user to switch to the Microsoft Windows mode. «Shutdown» — turns off display or computer (depending on settings). «Clear the memory» — allows you to remove all the temporary data from Flipbox Software Suite. «Setup» — starts Flipbox Software Suite setup program FlipboxAdmin. Warning! We strongly recommend saving all the necessary data before beginning the startup process. When settings are applied, the memory will be cleared.

2. Setup

2.1. The beginning and the end of work FlipboxAdmin sets up the Flipbox Software Suite. The administration program can be launched in two ways: from the Microsoft Windows desktop or from the Flipbox Software Suite home screen — the «Setup» button. To save and apply all changes made in settings, press Apply. FlipboxAdmin will ask you «Do you really want to apply changes?», press «Yes» to apply settings. When closing the program, the FlipboxAdmin will show a message «Settings Flipbox could be changed. Apply changes?» press «Yes» to apply settings.

2.2. General

2.2.1. Language selection It enables you to choose between Russian and English. If Flipbox Software Suite was launched, it needs to be re-started to apply changes of this setting.

Display resolution Allows to set up display resolution for the Flipbox mode: • Full HD — photo and video view is available in Ultra HD format (if characteristics of the display permit) • Ultra HD • Windows Default resolution (not recommended as display the correct data is not guaranteed). Warning! If the display does not support the chosen parameter (FullHD or Ultra HD), Windows Default resolution will be used. 2.2.3. Shutdown • Show shutdown button on the main screen — allows to show or hide the shutdown button. • Clear the memory during the Flipbox shutdown Shutdown options — this part provides setting of shutdown and turn on options • Standby (turn on by touch) — video signal is turned off • Sleep (turn on by pressing computer’s power button) 2.2.4. User-defined restrictions Require PIN to access Flipbox settings and Windows desktop. The password is requested when the user tries to start settings or to go to the Microsoft Windows desktop. If this option is selected, you should enter the password (4 digits). Error: PIN requires 4 digits. Solution: Enter 4 digits in the PIN input field. Disable access to Windows desktop. Use keyboard (Alt+F4) — to hide «Desktop» and «Setup» buttons from the home screen. To close Flipbox Software Suite, use the keyboard (Alt+F4). Show mouse cursor — to show / hide the mouse cursor. 2.2.5. Notes Saving Flipbox screen shots • USB drive — to save screen shots to the root folder of a USB drive. • Specify the path — to save screen shots to a folder selected. Error: Please fill the input field. Solution: Select a folder to save screen shots to. 2.2.6. User-defined background image Use custom background — to change the desktop background to a picture selected. Supported formats: *.png, *.gif (without animation), *.jpg, *.jpeg, *.bmp. 2.2.7. Statistics Allow anonymous usage statistics collection. No user data like drawings, files, URLs, video conference IDs are collected under any circumstances. Statistics is used for software improvement only. See details in Flipbox End-User License Agreement.

2.3. E-mail

Warning! If e-mail is not set, messages will be sent from the address [email protected]. It is not possible to view sent messages. 2.3.1. E-mail account Server address — a mail server address. Port — a connection port. Sent from — the e-mail from which messages will be sent. It will also be shown in the Sender field of the message receiver. Login, Password — the login and the password of this e-mail. Use TLS — if the server used requires safe connection, TLS must be enabled. Warning! If messages are sent from Flipbox Software Suite, but do not arrive to the addressee, please change the port number to 25. Warning! We strongly recommend creating an individual e-mail account for each Flipbox Software Suite. (Possibly, it has already been created at Step 9 in Chapter 1.3. Installation). 2.3.2. LDAP options

Use LDAP — connection of the mail client’s address book. Server IP — an IP address of the server to be connected. Port — a connection port, either 389 or 636 shall be used.

Administrator manual LDAP Version — an entry field to specify the LDAP version. Server DN — a unique name consisting of several relatively unique names separated with commas. Login, Password — is the login and the password of the account. Domain — is the domain used. Test — verification of the LDAP connection. The response can take some time Error: Could not connect to the server. Solution: Verify the connection to the required network and if data specified are correct. 2.3.3. Local Address book It allows you to add addressee manually. The Local Address Book is used independently of other mail setup parameters. «New» — opens an empty data input form to create a new contact. «Change» — opens the data input form of the contact selected. «Delete» — removes the contact selected. 2.3.4. Data Input Form E-mail — a mandatory field to create a new contact. Owner — name, non-mandatory field.

Error: Incorrect e-mail. Solution: Correct the entered e-mail.

2.4. Web Browser Home page — a home page address. The page https://www.google.com/ is default. If the link is provided incorrectly, when the browser starts, Google will open the search page with a query taken from this field. Page zoom — sets up a scale for the visited web-pages. Setup is recommended when display resolution has been changed.

2.5. Laptop / tablet connectivity

This part provides setting of information displayed in manual for connecting devices on Flipbox screen. 2.5.1. Setup of the on-screen manual for connecting devices to Flipbox Display Flipbox IP, name and Wi-Fi network on the home screen — displaying an information for connecting a device to Flipbox on main screen. Broadcasting name — the Flipbox name shall be unique for each Flipbox Software Suite within one network. The name specified will display on the Flipbox Software Suite screen in the connecting instruction. Warning! In the Broadcasting name field, the quantity of symbols is restricted; you can enter no more than 20 symbols. You can enter no more than 30 symbols in the Set URL manually field.

Administrator manual • Ethernet — displaying an instruction on connection via Ethernet to Flipbox on the Flipbox Software Suite screen. Herewith, instructions for iOS and Android device connection will be unavailable. • Wireless network — displaying an instruction on connection via Wi-Fi to Flipbox on the Flipbox Software Suite screen. To display a specific instruction, the Network name (in the respective entry field) to which Flipbox is connected shall be provided. If a password is set for the network, we recommend enabling the Show password of a wireless network function and specifying the password in the respective field. • Guest network — displaying an instruction on connection via Wi-Fi network provided by Flipbox on Flipbox Software Suite screen. If a password is set for the network, we recommend enabling function «Show password of a wireless network». Warning! This parameter is available only if guest network is set up. Network interface for device connection — drop-down list with available options for connection to this PC. Warning! If there are no available connections, then there will be a message «Please, connect to the network via Wi-Fi or Ethernet» Follow the steps to work correctly Flipbox Software Suite. Error: Solution:

The password of a Wi-Fi network must be more than 8 and less than 63 symbols. Make sure that the password is entered correctly.

Error: Broadcasting name is incorrect or Vnc site is incorrect. Solution: Make sure that the Flipbox name is entered correctly and does not use symbols < > ’ “&. Custom network name (e. g. use «flipbox.lan» if DNS name is assigned to this PC) — create a link to connect. The record should be created in advance on the DNS-server. 2.5.2. Guest network Test if your PC supports network feature — to test if access point feature is supported press button «Test». Warning! Test if guest network feature is supported may take some time. After the test is finished, setup program will inform on results: «Guest network feature is supported» or «Guest network feature is not supported». After successful test, guest network feature is enabled. Enable guest network (Flipbox restart is required) — enabling the access point. Network name (SSID) — name of the network provided. Password — password, if required. 2.5.3. Connection security Require a password to connect a device with Flipbox Agent or iOS — Client Operating System and eliminate the possibility to connect to a wrong Flipbox.

2.6. Documents Add link to Document folder to Flipbox homescreen — to add the selected folder to the home screen. To select the folder, press «Browse». If Flipbox Software Suite was launched, it needs to be re-started to apply changes of this setting.

2.7. Applications 2.7.1. Application settings Install all necessary programs on your computer, then start setting this section up.

«New» — opens an empty form of application parameters to set the application display in Flipbox Software Suite. «Change» — opens the parameters form of the selected application to make changes to its display settings in Flipbox Software Suite. «Delete» — removes the selected application from the list.

Administrator manual 2.7.2. Edit application properties

Application name — the application name to be displayed in Flipbox Software Suite. Path to application — the path to the application file *.exe being executed. Program arguments (if needed) — application arguments. Example: in case of Internet Explorer, the argument can be the address of a site to be opened when it starts. Path to custom icon — the default is a standard icon of the application selected. To use another icon, specify the full path to the required *.png, *.gif, *.jpg, *.ico or *.bmp image in this field. Show application icon on the Flipbox homescreen — displaying the application on the Flipbox Software Suite home screen (it will not be displayed in the applications section). Save — to save all changes made. Cancel — cancel. Error: You entered invalid application name. Solution: Possibly, the application name entry field is empty or uses non-allowed symbols: < > ’ “ &. Please specify the correct name.

2.8. Video conferencing Add «Video conferencing» icon to the Flipbox homescreen — to add  /  hide the video communication section from the Flipbox Software Suite home screen. An example of completed fields:

2.9. Update Current version — the number of the current Flipbox Software Suite version. Update available — the number of a new available version to download. Download — the button is active when there is an available update. After it is pressed, a browser in the Microsoft Windows OS opens. Depending on browser settings, you will be prompted to save the file or download of the new Flipbox Software Suite version will start automatically. Start the downloaded file to install. Repeat steps described in Chapter 1.3. Installation. Warning! Step 9 of the TrueConf video conferencing setup (Chapter 1.3. Installation) will be skipped as all settings are saved. TrueConf will be updated in the background.

3. Finishing to work with the program Depending on settings, the Flipbox Software Suite completion method can be different (Chapter 2.2.4. User-defined restrictions). The user is allowed to enter the desktop: 1. Go to the Microsoft Windows desktop. 2. Right-click the icon on the tray and press Flipbox shutdown. 3. Press Exit. The user is not allowed to enter the desktop: Command input using the keyboard (Alt+F4).
