INTRODUCTION
Pravin Amar is a professional entity offering services in town and regional planning, environmental management, project management and education and training. The company is 100% affirmative business enterprise (ABE) in terms of the Preferential Procurement Act (Act No 5 of 2000). Pravin Amar is an equal opportunity employer, and also offers internships to students in the respective fields. As a learning organisation, Pravin Amar have had more than 40 interns pass through its doors over the past 20 years of its existence. Pravin Amar was established in 1994 with the intention of offering clients professional multi-disciplinary consultancy service in the environment, development and training fields. Its areas of competencies include: town planning; environmental services; development applications; property management, legislative project management, education and training. Today, Pravin Amar has diversified into four sectors, i.e.: i. ii. iii. iv.
Pravin Amar Environmental Services, Pravin Amar Skills Development Training, Pravin Amar Development Planners which undertakes the project planning and project management aspects. Pravin Amar Project Management Services.

The services we provide extend from advice and technical assistance through to full-scale project management of particular projects. In recent years the demand for training in the areas of project management and contract management have led Pravin Amar to expand our services from development consultancy to the field of education and training. The programmes have proved to be addressing a critical need and are extremely popular. In fact there is now a need for us to provide train the trainer’s programmes, so that municipalities can train their staff and management in project and contract management. Pravin Amar intends to offer trainer programmes that will enable municipalities to become self-sufficient in this crucial area of service delivery.

5.5. MAJOR STAKEHOLDERS AND CLIENTS Pravin Amar, in its strategic planning, has consciously identified the local government sector as its main clients. As such, local government officials and councillors from the GETC band and the FET band, i.e. Level 1 through to Level 5/6 are our target learners.
