SKATING CHAMPIONSHIP CBSE South Zone 2015-16 To, The Principal CBSE South Zone Affiliated School Dear Sir / Madam, We are extremely glad to inform you that CBSE has graciously entrusted our school to organize the CBSE South Zone Skating Championship 2015-16. We welcome your school team whole- heartedly to take part in the skating events. The scheduled dates for which are: Registration for teams from Hyderabad, Secunderad & R.R. Dist: 4th November, 2015 Registration for other teams: 5th November, 2015 (10:00 a.m. onwards) Opening Ceremony & Skating Events: 6th, 7th, 8th & 9th November, 2015 Closing Ceremony: 9th November, 2015 In this context we request you to kindly forward the participant’s consent form latest by 29th October, 2015. Late consents will not be entertained in any case. Consent can be sent on our e-mail i.e. [email protected]. Please note that telephonic consent will not be accepted. We would like to request you to facilitate in sending consent as per Annexures “A, B, C, D, E, F & G” as attached along with proper details. The teams are advised to report on time and are expected to exhibit a sense of responsibility and discipline. We seek co-operation from your side for smooth conduct of the championship. The championship will be held according to the RSFI (9RR) rules & regulations. From each school only one participant can participate in each event. A skater can take part in maximum two events in her/his age group. A skater can take part either in Quads or in In-line events. From each Zone, in each event, separately held for Girls & Boys in different age categories, will win first & second position, they will qualify to participate in the Nationals. In under 08 yrs – Participant must be 06+ to 08 yrs. i.e. born on or after 01.01.2008 In under 10 yrs – Participant must be 08+ to 10 yrs. i.e. born on or after 01.01.2006 In under 12 yrs – Participant must be 10+ to 12 yrs. i.e. born on or after 01.01.2004 In under 14 yrs – Participant must be 12+ to 14 yrs. i.e. born on or after 01.01.2002 In under 16 yrs – Participant must be 14+ to 16 yrs. i.e. born on or after 01.01.2000 In under 19 yrs – Participant must be 16+ to 19 yrs. i.e. born on or after 01.01.1997

The skater taking part in Quads should wear the skates that should not have heels attached to the shoe & should not be high ankle. The skating costume should be skin tight. Helmet is compulsory. The wheels for speed skating which are broader in size only can be used. The decision of the technical committee/referee shall be final. Any photograph/video clipping other than from official camera shall not be considered for any reference. No protest will be entertained from parents. Protest, if any, has to be submitted in writing by the team Coach/Manager with the Chief Referee, within 15 min of the announcement of result. The decision of the Jury of Appeal shall be final.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS (i)

Team Manager / Coaches shall provide the required documents for verification in original, if asked for by the controller. (ii) Team photo with school principal along with the entry Performa duly countersigned by the concerned School Principal shall be produced at the time of entry in the School Campus. (iii) For skaters studying in class IX and above shall provide CBSE Registration Number given in class IX and XI. (iv) Identity Cards to be brought by the students and coaches duly stamped and signed by the School Principal. (v) Proof of the payment of CBSE Annual Sports fee for the year 2015-16. (vi) Girl participants should be essentially escorted by Female Escort(s) (Manager/Coach).

BOARDING AND LODGING (i)

Boarding & Lodging Charges will be Rs 350/- (Rs Three Hundred Fifty) per student / manager / coach i.e. per person per day. (ii) Boarding & Lodging Charges will be paid in advance for all four days which will be refundable depending upon facilities used. (iii) Security Deposit of Rs 1000/- (Rs One Thousand only) will also be paid by each team at the time of entry which is refundable. (iv) All the team managers and skaters will be accommodated in the same venue planned separately for Boys and Girls. (v) No expensive items or jewellery etc. are to be brought to the campus during Championship as the school will not be responsible for the loss of any personal belongings.

The confirmation regarding the participation of your team with the required details of the Skating Team and Escort must reach our School positively by 29th October, 2015. Boarding and Lodging facilities will be provided from 05th November, 2015 – 09th November, 2015. Reporting date is 05th November, 2015, Closing Ceremony is on 09th November, 2015. A mandatory Team Managers and Coaches meeting will be held late in the evening on 5th November, 2015 to cover preliminary remarks/guidelines. Skating Championship schedule will be given in the meeting. School will provide transport facility to pick up/drop the teams from Secunderabad Railway Station, Kachiguda Railway Station, Nampally Railway Station, Jubilee Bus Stand (Secunderabad) & M.G.B.S (Mahatma Gandhi Bus Stand, Hyderabad) Teams are requested to inform the exact time of arrival and contact details ( Annexure-E) to enable us to receive the teams at railway/bus station, failure to which will lead to making of their own arrangements. Skaters should be under 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 & 19 Years of age as on 31st December, 2015 with the details as follows:  Under 8 years: Born on or after 01.01.2008  Under 10 years: Born on or after 01.01.2006  Under 12 years: Born on or after 01.01.2004  Under 14 years: Born on or after 01.01.2002.  Under 16 years: Born on or after 01.01.2000.  Under 19 years: Born on or after 01.01.1997.

(viii) Teams without proper eligibility forms will not be allowed to participate in the championship. (ix) The participants must carry their Identity Cards at the time of the competition duly filled and signed by the Principal, valid for the current year. (Participants of Class X / XII must carry IX / XI Class Board Registration Cards respectively, XI Class students should carry their X Class mark sheet issued by CBSE and for other classes birth certificate issued by Municipal Corporation should be attached to ensure date of birth. All should be duly attested by the principal of the participating school). (x) No team will be allowed to participate without an escorting Team Manager/ Coach/Physical Education Teacher duly authorized by the Principal of the participating school. (xi) From each school only one participant (one boy / one girl) can participate in each event. (xii) A skater can take part in maximum of two events in her/his age group. (xiii) A skater can take part either in Quads or In-Line events. (xiv) The first & second position winners, both Girls and Boys separately will qualify to participate in the Nationals from each zone in each event in different age categories. (xv) The skater taking part in Quads should wear the skates that should not have heels attached to the shoe and should not be high ankled. (xvi) The skating costumes should be skin tight and helmet is compulsory. (xvii) Broader size wheels are only to be used for speed skating. (xviii) The decision of the referee / technical committee shall be final. (xix) No photographs or video recording other than that of the official camera will be considered for any reference. (xx) Protest, if any, has to be submitted in writing by the designated team Coach or Manager to the Chief Referee, within one Hour of the announcement of results. The decision of the Jury of Appeal shall be final. No protest will be entertained from the skaters.

(xxi) The team players reporting on 05th November, 2015 will only be allowed to participate in the championship. Please send your team (s) accordingly. (xxii) The Host School will not be responsible for any mishappening during the Championship or during journey. (xxiii) Participants are requested not to bring valuable items such as jewellery, mobile, camera, iPods etc. as use of these items in the campus is prohibited. (xxiv) All the skaters will bring their personal kit as skating items are not locally available. (xxv) Consumption of non-vegetarian food, alcohol, tobacco chewing and smoking is strictly prohibited during the meet and the violators would be immediately asked to leave the premises/meet. (xxvi) Team manager will be responsible for the conduct of team on the field and in the school premises. Indiscipline by an athlete/a member will lead to disqualification and the athlete/member may be asked to leave the premises immediately. (xxvii)The Organizers reserve the right to debar a participant / Coach / Manager from the competition arena for unruly behaviour/ interference in the smooth conduct of events of the competition. (xxviii) Protest of any nature should reach the Organizing Committee and CBSE Observer in writing within one hour of the declaration of the result.
