The Creighton Prep parents attending this monthly prayer group and our Jesuit priest director, Father Kevin Schneider, S.J., hope that this prayer basket will bring you closer to God and others through a deeper understanding of our Catholic faith and Ignatian spirituality. We have included Fr. Mark Link’s “Challenge,” Fr. Andy Alexander’s “Retreat in the Real World,” Fr. Michael Gaitley’s “Consoling the Heart of Jesus,” Father James Martin’s “In Good Company,” Father William Harmless’ “Mystics,” Fr. Richard Hauser’s “In His Spirit” and “Moving in the Spirit,” and Matthew Kelly’s “Rediscover Catholicism.” To further aid your prayer time and adorn your prayer corner, the basket also contains a hand-knit prayer shawl, the Ignatian New Testament with extensive commentary by Scott Hahn, a pink leather bible cover, a St. Louis Jesuits’ CD, a prayer journal, a small crucifix and a prayer candle. Moms and grandmas will especially appreciate the beautiful Marian blue Italian-made rosary, the Psalm 37 wall hanging and the decorative holy water font. Several prayer pamphlets and items directed toward motherhood and keeping one’s kids Catholic complete the set. All items were blessed by Father Schneider.
