FTTH Infrastructure “Conduit” - Why are we here? Discuss plans to install conduit to premise of all “single family” homes within the City of Shenandoah. This will complete the conduit project that began in Priority Area 2 during the Shenandoah Valley infrastructure revitalization.

FTTH Infrastructure “Conduit” - What was installed in Priority Area 2 during the Shenandoah Valley project? Only the Conduit was installed in Priority area 2, which is basically the area bordered by Holly Hill, Hickory Ridge, Cedarwood Dr. and Shenandoah Dr.

It was believed that timing and price would be better if the conduit was installed during the construction phase of the Shenandoah Valley project. In reality, the contractors completed all aspects of construction; roads, curbs, driveways, drainage, and lastly installed the conduit. At that time, the City had not identified an Internet Service Provider to utilize the conduit, so City Council decided to postpone the remainder of the conduit installation of Priority areas 1, 3 & 4.

Not one provider offers their services to all City of Shenandoah residents

FTTH Infrastructure “Conduit” - Why is this coming up now? The City of Shenandoah has been approached by Tachus which is a FTTH Internet Service Provider. Tachus is currently providing Gigabit Internet Service to Shenandoah residents in Silverwood Ranch, Silverwood Ranch Estates and Boulevard Green.
