SERTVICE ACTIVITIES Service to the Department of Applied Health Science Member of Applied Health Science faculty, 2006-present Member of Graduate Faculty Task Force, Applied Health Science 2009-present Member of the nutrition division of the Department of Applied Health Science, 2010present: Participated in committee review and deliberations regarding Bulletin changes and new and revised courses. During the transition from school of HPER to the School of Public Health, helped set exit competencies for the nutrition science major to fulfill the requirements for the “Council on Education in Public Health” (CEPH) accreditation. I have trained graduate students to teach undergraduate classes. I was involved in new faculty orientation. I write many reference letters for the students who apply for dietetics internship, graduate school or medical school, grants, scholarships, or jobs. I provide academic and career advice to my undergraduate students. Member of Professional Health Education Committee, 2010-present: Participated in committee review and deliberations regarding Bulletin changes and new and revised courses. Also I am a Subcommittee Contributor to the development of the newly proposed Master in Public Health (MPH) degree in Professional Health Education. I attended committee deliberations as well as individually identified and reviewed all current and past offered Health courses that may be applicable to this new MPH for further committee consideration. Member of Activity Space Scheduling Working Group: 2010 – 2012: Represented the Department of Applied Health Science to discuss schedule conflicts and other issues that affect the schedule of classes and programs in the building of School of Public HealthBloomington. Participated in decision making process to oversee the content and quality of our academic course offerings in our departmental concentrations, and degree programs. Service to the State of Indiana and to the Department of Applied Health Science AmeriCorps, Improving Health throughout Indiana (AIHTI), 2010-current: Duties included member training curriculum, advising the Program Director and AmeriCorps members to promote healthy weight management through proper nutrition and physical activity and to eliminate health disparities in Indiana.

Service to the Community Monroe Country School Age Care Program, 2008-2010: Development of FUN FITTNESS program, a structured physical activity base after school activity for elementary school age children enrolled in Monroe County afterschool care program to increase physical activity of children.
