In 2013, more than $2 million in donations supported Shady Grove Adventist Hospital, including: n Opening the Aquilino Cancer Center (ACC), the first of its kind in Montgomery County—a single location where cancer patients and their loved ones receive comprehensive, personalized care under one roof. n Expanding the ACC & Life Beyond Cancer Program services, including: PET/CT scan for diagnostics, lymphedema & other rehabilitation services, nutrition education and cooking demonstrations, and a Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner. n Increasing cardiac rehabilitation services, reaching more than 24,000 patients last year.
