SFS intec Easy 3D program

Over the years the constant attention to new market trends and SFS intec’s focus on the final user have led our business to develop an extensive range of hinges for entrance doors: the Easy 3D program. Created to meet the need expressed by our customers for hinges for heavy doors that are easy to install and to adjust, today the Easy 3D range is able to cover most applications in various markets and namely five different profiles each with its own hinge. New energy-saving trends and increasingly heavier doors, call for top performing certified hinges. Our Easy 3D hinge was awarded CE certification by the IFT Institute in Rosenheim, who also certified it to be suitable for use on fire doors. Plus, it can support loads up to 160 Kg, which makes it the optimal solution for all kinds of needs. Its extremely high resistance to corrosion, the security screw fitted to each hinge and the wide range of finishes available give the door a unique top quality appearance. The system, which comes with milling jigs and inserts, allows easy application of the hinges to most profile types.

The 3-step threaded bolts and the use of a 2-step drill bit allow fast and problem-free fitting of the hinge. Once you have made the hole with the 2-step drill bit, step 1 of the threaded bolt can be easily inserted in the hole and automatically centres the hinge. Once inserted, the hole adapts perfectly to the threaded bolt and ensures the latter is anchored securely in the wood along its entire length. Moreover, the rear section of the threaded bolt compresses the wood, which increases the hinge’s stability.

Adjusting the hinges Horizontal Height Gasket pressure

The adjustment holes are placed on the front of the hinge. These are independent, mechanical adjustments which do not interfere with each other and are made with a 4 mm hex key. Each hinge can be adjusted in 3 dimensions to better distribute the weight on all the hinges. Therefore then can be adjusted in any order. 2

Adjusting the hinges Horizontal adjustment 1. Loosen the screw in hole 1. 2. With a 4mm Allen key adjust +/- 3mm turning screw 2 on the right side or on the left side in accordance with the adjustments you want. 3. After the required adjustment, tighten the screw 1. Height adjustment 1. For height regulation adjust screw 3 turns clockwise, to raise the door 3 mm and turn counterclockwise, to bring the door 2 mm down. Gasket pressure adjustment

The hinge will be supplied with the central part adjusted for gasketed doors. For ungasketed applications tighten screw 4 turns clockwise to move the central part in the correct position. In both positions a +/- 2 mm adjustment is possible by tightening screw 4 turns respectively clockwise or counterclockwise. When adjustments have been done, fit the cap on the central part of the hinge.
