The Art Of Selling Selling is like all other talents and skills honed over time, selling something is truly an art form that takes practice to improve upon (and ultimately master). A long-standing company can use its lengthy track record as an advantage for presenting expertise, overwhelmingly positive customer service or superior products. That’s all very helpful if you’re selling Coca Cola, but what about selling something that’s new and doesn’t have the credibility of the big guys, it might seem like you need to bend over backward just to get in the door. Stop doing that – you’ll hurt your back and your chances of making a sale. People do business with others they like and trust, so start with that. Most important, you must have the desire to interact with others, enjoy challenges and be comfortable in handling objections. So here are three tips to help you in the selling process. 1.Remember everyone is a salesperson to some extent and nothing happens in any company -- or any relationship -- until something is sold. If you are married, you "sold" your husband or your wife on marrying you. 2.Know your products and their advantages over those of your competitors (i.e., price, ability to ship, quality, or value-added concepts your company offers). 3.Learn to become a good listener -- if you are not already -- and remember that successful sales professionals cannot sell anything if they don't listen to and understand the needs of their buyers. ♫ We are family!
But the most important thing to remember is that a no is only good for 24hrs. Never give up, find a way around objections.

SPRING 2016 Hiking for Better Health "In every walk with nature, one receives far more than he seeks." – John Muir I’m sure you knew that hiking was great for your physical and mental health but did you know how good? Research shows that spending time outdoors increases attention spans and creative problem-solving skills by as much as 50 percent. The authors of the study also point out that the results may have as much to do with unplugging from technology as they do spending time outside. "This is a way of showing that interacting with nature has real, measurable benefits to creative problemsolving," David Strayer, co-author of the study, tells The Wilderness Society Hitting the trail works out your body as much as it does your brain. Just one hour of trekking can burn well over 500calories, depending on the level of incline and the weight of the pack you're carrying. Hiking is a great way to get a serious workout without putting too much pressure on your joints. "Trails are often softer on joints than asphalt or concrete," Caroline Stedman, a seasonal Park Ranger at northern Wisconsin's Apostle Islands National Lakeshore Other benefits include: • Improved cardio-respiratory fitness (heart, lungs, blood vessels) • Improved muscular fitness • Lower risk of coronary heart disease and stroke • Lower risk of high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes • Lower risk of high cholesterol and triglycerides • Lower risk of colon and breast cancer, and possibly lung and endometrial cancer • Increased bone density or a slower loss of density • Reduced depression and better quality sleep • Lower risk of early death (If you are active for 7 hours a week, your risk of dying early is 40% lower than someone active for less than 30 minutes a week.) So get out there!

SPRING 2016 Fun Times at Expo West
A good time was had by all at Expo West. We established new ties and strengthened old ones. Expo West is probably the largest food show in the US. There were tens of thousands of people walking around the Anaheim Convention center. It took us almost an hour to park the first day! We made an effort to see every one of our manufacturers at the show. We learned what’s new in their world and took the opportunity to further educate ourselves on their products. We also got the chance to meet outside the convention with a few of our manufacturers for breakfast/lunch/dinner during our time there.
