Must produce Medical Certificate prior to riding again: B Melham Did not attend meeting: B Melham Other Comments / Explanations: R McLeod was fined the sum of $200 for failing to produce a medical certificate. Race 1 – Global Gypsum Maiden Plate - 1013 metres: Harvey The Rabbit jumped away awkwardly. None So Blue was hampered on jumping away when tightened for room between De Pony which shifted out and Holy Tony. Holy Tony raced three wide and without cover in the early and middle stages, and got its head up on a number of occasions approaching the 800m.

Approaching the 400m We Own An Angel shifted out abruptly taking Charzillion wider on the course. In consequence Beauty Cash had to be eased and in doing so shifted out inconveniencing None So Blue. Charzillion had a tendency to lay out rounding the home turn and raced greenly in the straight. A subsequent veterinary examination of Charzillion failed to reveal any abnormalities. Approaching the 200m Charzillion had to be steadied to avoid the heels of Beauty Cash (L Currie) which shifted out. L Currie was reprimanded and notified to exercise far greater care when shifting ground in future. Over the concluding stages We Own An Angel layed out under pressure. Patrick Maloney rider of Harvey The Rabbit explained that the gelding settled further back than anticipated after being slow to begin, and added that in his opinion the gelding failed to handle today’s track condition. A post race veterinary examination of Harvey The Rabbit revealed the gelding had suffered an abrasion to its right hind leg. Race 2 – United Insurance group sv 3yo maiden plate - 1213 metres: After being placed in its barriers Squadron became fractious and broke through the front gate of its barrier stall. Squadron was returned to the start, examined by the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start. Tampere knuckled on jumping away. At the start Classic Favour and Northern Journey came together due to both horses shifting ground. Shortly after the start Northern Journey had to be steadied to avoid the heels of Squadron that shifted in. Near the 800m Purrbo Charged when overracing shifted out to avoid the heels of Churchill Express and as a result Yellow Jersey was taken out onto Unsung Hero which was also taken wider on the course. Rounding the home turn and approaching the 300m Tampere was held up when unable to obtain a clear run. After passing the 400m and until approaching the 200m Squadron was held up when unable to obtain clear running. Approaching the 200m Tampere was obliged to change course to obtain clear running and after passing the 200m was tightened for room between Yellow Jersey which shifted out and Classic Flavour. As a result of this, Tampere and Classic Flavour made contact resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced. Approaching the 100m Squadron was disappointed for a run between Churchill Express which when laying out shifted out and Extreme Impact. As a result Squadron

was held up for the remainder of the race and went to the line not fully tested by its rider L Currie. Churchill Express, which was having only its third race start, shied away from the winning post over the concluding stages. Upon return to scale C Symons rider of Churchill Express explained that it was not his intention to take up a leading role, however after being caught wide without cover he allowed his mount to stride forward. Race 3 – height insurance agencies f&M maiden plate - 1213 metres: Poppaea jumped away awkwardly. Baoma jumped away awkwardly and shortly after the start was brushed on the hindquarters by Flag Favourite, which after being marginally slow to begin, shifted out. From the entrance to the straight and until approaching the 200m Gypsy’s Best had some difficulty in obtaining a clear run. B Rawiller rider of Baoma explained that he eased the mare down over the concluding stages as felt that there was something amiss with her action. A post race veterinary examination of Baoma revealed the mare to be suffering from respiratory distress. Trainer L Tolson was notified that she must produce a veterinary clearance including the satisfactory results of an endoscopic examination with respect to the mare prior to her being permitted to start again. After passing the 1000m Oh So Petite when overracing was tightened for room between Gypsy’s Best and Miss Cacciatore which was taken in by Queen Of Eight which shifted in. Shortly after this, Oh So Petite when continuing to overrace had to be checked to avoid the heels of Miss Cacciatore (D Moor) which continued to shift in away from Queen Of Eight. When being checked Oh So Petite shifted in and made contact with Gypsy’s Best. D Moor was severely reprimanded and notified to exercise far more care when shifting ground in future. When questioned regarding the tactics adopted on Miss Cacciatore, Daniel Moor the filly’s rider explained it was not his intention to go forward however after beginning well he elected to stride forward on his mount rather than be caught wide. Stewards noted D Moor’s comments. Race 4 – seymour insurance& financial services maiden plate - 1617 metres: Stewards accepted the explanation offered by trainer Peter Moody with respect to Baluch being presented on course after the prescribed time. Mr Moody explained they had encountered mechanical difficulties with the horse float enroute to the course. George Osborne trainer of Emperor’s Folly advised the Stewards it was his intention to have the gelding ridden quieter today due to the wide barrier and speed in the race. Emperor’s Folly was ridden accordingly, settling midfield with cover.

After passing the 1500m Countthepineapples commenced to overrace and got its head up on a number of occasions. Approaching the 1200m Countthepineapples whilst overracing had to be steadied to avoid the heels of Teutoberg which shifted in. Harveys True Heart raced three wide without cover before being allowed to stride forward to take up a position outside the leader near the 1000m. Macedon Express hung out for the majority of the event. Approaching the 400m Macedon Express when hanging out had to be steadied to avoid the heels of Teutoberg which shifted in slightly. Near the 200m Baluch when laying out abruptly shifted out abruptly and as a result J Benbow the filly’s rider was obliged to stop and straighten his mount. Race 5 – zurich insurance 0-68 handicap - 1617 metres: Gary Fennessy representing David Hayes trainer of World Domination advised the Stewards that it was their intention to have the gelding in a midfield position in an attempt to gain cover as the gelding had recently been overracing. World Domination was restrained shortly after the start and settled in a position at the rear of the field. At the start Saneyev was crowded for room between Onamissionfromgod and Oratorium due to both horses shifting ground slightly. King Usain (NZ) had a tendency to overrace in the early stages. Approaching the 1000m King Usain (NZ) had to be restrained to avoid the heels of Fiscalist (NZ). Alberti (NZ) raced wide and without cover throughout. After passing the 600m Tailorman (NZ) commenced to weaken and approaching the 400m Offshore Echo which was following had to be steadied to avoid the heels of the weakening Tailorman (NZ) and in doing so shifted out inconveniencing World Domination. Near the 200m World Domination was momentarily held up behind Saneyev which shifted out slightly. John Gilligan trainer of Tailorman (NZ) will be contacted in the ensuing days to ascertain if any matter has arisen which may have affected the performance of the gelding today. Oratorium which performed below market expectations was examined by the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon who reported no abnormalities. Race 6 – national patient transport rising stars 0-62 handicap - 1417 metres:

Hidden Message (NZ) was marginally slow to begin. Argent Arc (NZ) jumped away awkwardly. Kimiko raced three wide and without cover. Approaching the 400m Kimiko was inconvenienced when tightened for room between Edge Of Storm and Daneson which shifted out to obtain clear running to the outside of Meteor Shower. Rounding the home turn Hidden Message (NZ) was hampered and taken out off its course by Meteor Shower which in turn was taken out by Kimiko Race 7 – poseidon oysters& seafood wholesale 0-68 handicap - 1213 metres: The start of this race was rescheduled to 4.10pm due to jockey D Nikolic being stood down indefinitely by Stewards due to threatening conduct towards Racing Victoria Chairman of Stewards, Terry Bailey prior to the running of race 6. This matter has been adjourned to a date to be fixed. Bringenbrong which was marginally slow to begin was then hampered when tightened for room between Democrat and Euphorbia. Winchester Arms and Creed both raced wide and without cover. Democrat had a tendency to lay out in the straight and near the 200m when laying out shifted out and brushed Northern Jet. Euphorbia layed out under pressure over the concluding stages. As a result Chilly Reception was taken wider on the course. A post race veterinary examination of Northern Jet which performed below market expectations revealed no abnormalities. Race 8 – centrebet super best plus 0-62 handicap - 2022 metres: Approaching the winning post on the first occasion Orbicat which had commenced to overrace had to be eased to avoid the heels of Exceed Us which shifted in. After passing the 1600m Orbicat when overracing had to be steadied to avoid the heels of Exceed Us. Brewswayne raced wide and without cover before being allowed to stride forward to take up a leading position near the 1400m. Near the 1200m Zindablake when overracing had to be steadied to avoid the heels of She’s Our Wha Wha and in doing so got its head up. Seattle Sonic raced wide without cover in the middle stages.

Orbicat overraced in the middle stages and near the 1000m shifted out taking She’s Our Wha Wha and Seattle Sonic out off their course. Approaching the 800m King Of Desire had to be eased to avoid the heels of King Carlos and as a result became unbalanced. Rounding the home turn and until the entrance to the home straight King Of Desire was held up for clear running. When questioned regarding the poor performance of She’s Our Wha Wha Damien Thornton could offer no real explanation other than the mare was hampered when taken wide on the course, and failed to respond to his riding when put under pressure. On return to scale Michael Walker rider of Zindablake explained that his mount overraced in the middle stages.
