Always@Home Setup Instructions: 1. Download the driver from www.PocketWareDesigns.com and place the file in Composer's Driver folder (usually in MyDocuments>Control4>Drivers). 2. If you don’t already have one, it’s always a good idea to make a backup of your current project before making any changes. 3. When adding a driver on the Search tab, if you select “--others--“ for the Device Type and “PocketWare” for Manufacturer, you will find the Always@Home driver in the filtered list. Add the Always@Home driver to your project. 4. On the Properties tab for the driver, enter the license number and verify that the server has registered your device in the License Status field. (The License field IS case sensitive...you might consider copy/paste)

5. –Optional – Alternatively you can enter “Trial” in place of a license number. The Trial license allows you to use Always@Home for two weeks. Verify that the License Status reports Trial Version. 6. For Composer versions 1.8.2 or newer, in the "Select Lights To Record" property, press the "Select" button. In the checkbox tree that pops up, select all the lights that you want to have recorded and press "Ok". (For Composer version 1.7.4, see extra steps in the Appendix.) 7. IMPOTANT: Make sure you press the "Set" button after you click "Ok" in the checkbox tree pop-up window. If you skip this step no lights will be recorded. 8. For Composer versions 1.8.2 or newer, in the "Select Up To 4 TVs To Record" property, press the "Select" button. In the checkbox tree that pops up, select all the TVs that you want to have recorded (up to a maximum of 4 TVs) and press "Ok". (For Composer version 1.7.4, see extra steps in the Appendix.)

9. IMPOTANT: Make sure you press the "Set" button after you click "Ok" in the checkbox tree. If you skip this step no TVs will be recorded.

10. –Optional— There is a “Default Light Level” option. This is a global dimmer percentage that can be selected which will be applied to any dimmer that is played back. This is helpful for customers that would prefer a dimmer setting while they are away to save energy. Just select the percentage you would like and press the “Set” button. Please note the following when using this option: a. IMPORTANT: This is a global setting and will be applied to ALL dimmers that have been recorded. This setting will override any programming done on the dimmer itself (i.e. if you have programmed a dimmer to function as a switch)

b. IMPORTANT: Please verify that all lights used on dimmers have dimmable lights installed. Because this setting is global to all recorded dimmers, it is important to make sure all dimmers truly have dimmable loads. c. If you select any switches to be recorded, they will still be turned ON/OFF as expected. This setting has no effect on actual switches. 11. Next you need to program an action (i.e. keypad button press, custom button, macro, etc) to enable/disable playback of Always@Home via the Programming tab in Composer. Select the Always At Home Driver under Actions. Under, Always At Home Actions, select Device Specific Command and you can select Play, Stop, or Toggle Light Changes. Then attach this to a six button keypad button press event or something similar to control when the driver plays back the recorded changes.

12. –Optional, but recommended— Program feedback to alert the customer that Playback mode has been enabled (if you haven’t already provided feedback as part of an existing macro/action). Always At Home provides some events that can be used in the Programming tab to trigger feedback (LED color change, announcement, etc).

13. –Only required for TV playback— If you have selected any TV’s to be recorded and played back, you will NEED to program a source for each TV. In the Programming tab, highlight Always At Home in the Device Events box. There will be a dropdown available in the available events box below. There is an event for each of 4 TV’s. Select TV1 for the first TV device listed in the TV selection property, TV2 for the second TV device listed, TV3 for the third TV device listed and TV4 for the fourth TV device. For each of these events, program the desired source/action/media that you’d like to be played on the TV.

Note: The driver must be installed on a system for at least 24 hours before any recorded light and/or TV changes can be played back.

Composer 1.7.4 Extra Setup Steps: Replace steps 6, 7,8, and 9 above with the following steps. 1. After adding the Always@Home Driver to your project, make a backup copy. Open the backup copy in Composer version 1.8.2 or newer in a Virtual Director and perform step 6 and 8 above. 2. Copy all the device ids that are populated in the "Select Lights to Record" property. Then back in Composer version 1.7.4, paste all the device ids in the "Enter Lights To Record" property. 3. Copy all the device ids that are populated in the "Select Up To 4 TVs To Record" property. Then back in Composer version 1.7.4, paste all the device ids in the "Enter Up To 4 TVs To Record" property. 4. Select "Set" on both properties and continue on with step 10 above.
