1. INTRODUCTION The Seoul Metropolitan Government welcomes all participants of the “Seoul International Travel Mart 2016”. This information note has been compiled in order to assist you in the preparation for your trip to Seoul to participate in the meeting. 4. REGISTRATION PROCESS Upon arrival at the meeting venue, participants will be directed to check-in at the on-site registration desks for name tags. The name tags will be distributed at the Lobby of Convention Hall, 4F, Convention Center, Grand Hilton Seoul on September 20th(Tue) and 21st(Wed). All participants are required to wear their name tags throughout the meeting.

9. TIPS & USEFUL INFORMATION 9-1. Climate Korea has four seasons, with a wet monsoon/summer season in the middle of the year, and a cold winter from November to March. The average maximum daytime temperature in South Korea in September is a warm 25°C. Expect 90~100mm of rainfall across the whole of September. Maximum UV levels will be very high (8 UV index) at midday when the skies are clear. The average night-time temperature is usually a cool 12°C (54°F). 9-2. Currency The won (KRW) is the official currency of Korea. Banknotes are denominated in 1,000 won, 5,000 won, 10,000 won, and 50,000 won, and coins in 10 won, 50 won, 100 won, and 500 won. The major currencies as well as traveler’s checks drawn on major banks can be easily converted into Korean won at the airport or local banks.
