Rotterdam Central station ) daily 120.000 visitors ) transport terminal with international and local trains, metro, trams, bus, taxi, bicycles ) connects the residential quarter (Rotterdam North) with City centre ) is under construction for both a new lightrail line to connect the local Metro line with the city of The Hague and a new public transport terminal that can host the high speed trains to Belgium and France.

Approach: 2003 – 2007 ) Local government installed a dedicated citymarine for the Central Station area. ) Together with the Public Prosecutor , the citypolice, railwaypolice, RET (metro), NS (dutch railways) a pact was made to join forces: The Supervision Arrangement.

The Supervision Arrangement ) Public Prosecutor and citymarine are leading ) monitoring and tackling of 700 frequent delinquents that cause nuisance, including drugusers, drugdealers, pickpockets and psychiatric patients ) database accessible for policeforces and social workers ) installation of forbidden areas for people that cause a nuisance to the pubic.

And also we have …. ) Bluetrain : extra police surveillance in the trains from Amsterdam via Rotterdam to Brussel ) Camera surveillanceplan on all metro and trainstations. High Riskcameras can be seen both in Amsterdam (NS) and in Rotterdam (local Police) ) OVCP: Both Metro and NS will use gates to control access to their trains. Is developed to be one chipcard, that can be used nationwide.
