How does Matheo Patent Lite works ?

You reach the Basic Search Mode Screen, two options: 1- you remain on the screen and keying your search, by example COCONUT AND BRAIN, the search will be done on titles and abstracts. The result (February 13th 2014) is 13 patents.

2- you open the Advanced Search mode

This mode allows you to search by combining data contained in various fields of the patent notice: Let us performed a more precise search: Coconut and brain in titles and abstracts With IPC (International Patent Classification) A61K* Note the full truncation after the 4 IPC digits The query must be put under the identification of the field Title or Abstract Coconut and brain When the query is keying, select “SEARCH”

Keying the query in advanced search mode

The results The query allows to select 4 patents The titles of the patents are given as well as the Patent Assignee (Applicant) and if it is present in the world patent database the country of the Applicant(s) (national flag) The selection of one patent will expand the data to provide the full reference including the abstract if it is present in the world patent database.

Visualization of one reference

Sliding the screen from left to right (or the reverse), allows to navigate into the various patent notices. It is possible to enlarge the letters by selecting the + present at the bottom of the screen.

It is also possible to store one or several patent notices. To do so use the flag presents on the top right of the screen of a patent notice. (“Favorite”)

Examples of storage When you will leave the visualization mode of one notice, taping on the flag will show the stored patents. Tape on one of these to go to the full notice. To delete: open the notice and press the flag.

Other possibilities “Alarmes” allows you to set up a query “Parametres” allows to set up the number of patent notices in one screen

Setting up the alarm Put the name of the alarm, and after keying your query as in advance search mode. If necessary the content of the query can be modified. The alert being created, each time that a new patent fitting with the query’s alert will happen, you will be directly advised. When you open Matheo Patent again, and tape on the alarm bell. (“alarme”) The database is updated twice a week.

To add one more”Alarm” tape on “Add” in red at the bottom of the screen. Mind on the left side of the alarm, near the edge of the screen there is a little square box. This allows you to select the alarm (you may have several “alarms”) and after to use the “Edit” and “Delete” buttons located at the bottom of the screen.

Matheo-Patent Lite is very handy and brings patent information “in your pocket” whenever you are, you will be able to survey the patent data. (it works well with 3G, 4G, and WIFI). This version of Matheo-Patent Lite, does not support statistical analysis, group creation, report, etc. as do the PC version of the Matheo Patent resident program.
