ABSTRACT Objective: This review shares the experience of meniscal repair performed at a local regional hospital. Patients and Methods: Twenty five patients underwent meniscal repair at Tuen Mun Hospital from March 1995 to November 1999. Twenty patients were invited to return for a clinical review of the results. Results: Twelve meniscal repairs were performed for patients with stable knees, while 8 patients had concomitant anterior cruciate ligament injury. The Lysholm scoring system was used for evaluation of the results. The overall results were satisfactory and no major complications occurred. Conclusion: Meniscal repair has good clinical results, especially for isolated meniscal tear. Arthroscopic repair is now the standard treatment. Key Words: Meniscus; Repair
