Finn Ware is celebrating 25 years in 2012! This exciting shop opened in 1987 featuring Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, and Icelandic products as well as handcrafted items made by artists of the lower Columbia River region. Not only is Finn Ware a popular destination gift store, but it features many everyday items including linens and tableware, sauna and bath supplies, clothing, jewelry, knives, and more. Featuring quality items from brands such as Marimekko, Ekelund, Iittala, and Aarikka provides customers with confidence in the integrity of products they purchase. Finn Ware prides itself on the quality of service the staff provides for each and every customer. Naselle natives and sisters, Darlene Bjornsgard and Dorothy Smith opened the doors to Finn Ware on Friday the 13th of November, 1987. Astoria natives, Saara & Greg Matthews purchased Finn Ware in May of 2010. Saara’s mother was born and raised in Finland. Saara studied at university in Tampere and has travelled to Finland many times. Greg’s great-grandparents came from northern

Swedish Dish Cloths

These marvelously absorbent dish clothes are a wonder in the kitchen. You’ll never want to go back to sponges or regular clothes when you see how they work. They soften when wet and wash and dry like a dream. Kitchen surfaces are virtually streak free. Made of 70% cellulose and 30% cotton, they’re durable (just was them in your washing machine). And since they are all natural, you can even compost them should you tire of them. They’re more sanitary than sponges — they dry out more quickly. Use them instead of paper towels to blot up spills — they absorb 15 times their weight in water. And the motifs will give your kitchen a Scandinavian accent.
