SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Hearts of Hope is sure to be a spectacular

event and we’d like you to join us. On this day, Nashville Rescue Mission is inviting you to be a part of sharing love and compassion with the women who seek safe shelter, nutritious meals, and recovery from some of the harshest struggles of life; through the programs and services offered at the Mission. With your generous support, guests and program participants will be blessed with a day they will not soon forget as they are treated to a beautiful luncheon where they are the guests of honor. This is an incredible opportunity to share the truth of God’s love with a group of women who are often marginalized by society. You can be a Heart of Hope!

Join us and hear from Sandy, a graduate of the Mission’s Life Recovery Program, as she shares her inspiring testimony of a journey from rejection to redemption.

Valentine’s Day is traditionally a day for celebrating romantic love. Many of the women who come to Nashville

Rescue Mission in search of help and hope are simply struggling to survive. Perhaps escaping an abusive husband or boyfriend … or a home environment filled with drugs and alcohol. For them, Valentine’s Day is just another reminder of the genuine, unconditional love they’ve yet to experience. You can be a Heart of Hope to a woman who is in desperate need. With your support, we want the women who are overnight guests of the Mission, or participants in one of the Mission’s Life Recovery Programs, to understand SHE is worthy of love … and that God loves HER and each one of His children, unconditionally.

But what if you don’t know how to love yourself? What if you’ve never experienced genuine love?

ABOUT NASHVILLE RESCUE MISSION Nashville Rescue Mission has a rich history dating back 60 years. It started in 1953, when Dr. Charles Fuller, a well-known Gospel radio preacher from the Old Fashion Revival Hour, led a revival at the Ryman Auditorium. Joining Fuller on the platform was Jimmy Stroud, of Memphis, Tennessee. Once homeless, Stroud overcame his addiction and founded Memphis Union Mission. After hearing Stroud’s story and seeing the numerous homeless men living on the streets of Nashville, Fuller was moved to incorporate the topic of homelessness into his sermon. After the revival, Dr. Fuller returned home. Later, when Dr. Fuller received his Honorarium for speaking, he sent the money back requesting it be used for the establishment of a facility that would care for the city’s homeless and hurting. This gesture of love motivated over eleven hundred Nashvillians to sign statements urging the opening of an interdenominational rescue mission. In 1954, Nashville Union Mission, today known as Nashville Rescue Mission, opened its doors to the homeless and hurting in the community. Since the beginning and still to this day, Nashville Rescue Mission provides meals, safe shelter, and clothing to those in need, as well as support and longterm assistance for those struggling with homelessness, addictions, and other life-debilitating problems. In 1968, Nashville Rescue Mission expanded services to meet the needs of homeless and hurting women and children and today operates two campuses: Men’s Campus at 639 Lafayette Street, and Women’s Campus at 1716 Rosa L. Parks Boulevard. This allows Nashville Rescue Mission to provide emergency services and case management to homeless men and women and long-term support for those winning their battle over addiction. Nashville Rescue Mission operates almost entirely from donated foods, materials, and the generous contributions from individual donors. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and being a faith-focused organization, subsist without relying on any governmental funding.

639 Lafayette Street Nashville, TN 37203

Many things have changed over the years since Nashville Rescue Mission first opened its doors. Nashville Rescue Mission has had different locations, different leadership and even a different name. However, one thing that remains constant is the belief that lives can truly be transformed by the power of God’s love, grace, and mercy.

CORE VALUES EXTRAVAGANT FAITH: We live in full anticipation that God will do in the ministry of Nashville Rescue Mission those things we are willing to believe Him for and trust Him to do. (Ephesians 3:20 KJV) RADICAL HOSPITALITY: We believe God has called and commissioned us to be ministers of His radical love, grace, and mercy and we demonstrate that be treating those we serve in a way that honors that calling. We make God “visible” through hospitality. (Matthew 5:16 KJV)

EXCELLENCE: We turn away from minimal expectations, choose excellence in everything we do, and challenge those we lead to give their best to the ministry of Nashville Rescue Mission and the people we serve. (Colossians 3:23 NIV) CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: We never stop learning and growing, but respond to every opportunity with excitement in order to reach our full potential. (Proverbs 18:15 NLT/MSG) CULTURE OF HONOR: We honor those that have laid the path before us and bless those who labor among us, as we embrace the future ahead of us. (Romans 12:10 NIV)
