About the client Sun Plaza is one of the most popular shopping malls in Bucharest. It was inaugurated in 2010 and includes over 130 shops. create new customers’ experience through innovative technological approach and dynamic content Sun Plaza attracts weekly about 250,000 visitors, being the most preferred shopping and leisure destination in the south area of Bucharest. Most of its visitors are young families with small children and teenagers, a target age eager to spend their free time in an interactive manner.

In order to address exciting new experiences and transform the venue into a place worth spending more time, Sun Plaza decided to work together with Samsung to launch, the largest indoor full HD video wall in Europe.

Bucharest forms an intensively competitive market being a capital with about 10 shopping malls. In order to detach from competition, Sun Plaza needed new action to connect with its target needs and increase customer footfall, as well as brand loyalty.

A truly exhibit of innovation, the video wall measures 40 sqm and consists of 64 ultra-thin 46” monitors, with flawless resolution, 8 times larger than that of a cinema screen, that enables epic visuals and a striking dissemination channel for mall activities, advertising and exclusive media content.

Results In November 2013, Samsung full HD video wall was installed on the 1 st floor Food Court walking area in Sun Plaza Shopping Center, becoming the center of attention, a clear focal point for mall visitors. Just one month after installation, Sun Plaza reported a record increase of 45% more visitors, in an ascending trend compared to previous years. Through the collaboration with Samsung, the shopping center demonstrated a personalized innovative approach, integrating high technology and providing visitors with a complete shopping and entertainment experience.
