Australia and New Zealand Compliance Standards P1 “P1” is the rating given to a respirator which meets Australian/New
Zealand Standard AS/NZS 1716 for filtering mechanically generated particles e.g. particles formed by crushing, grinding, drilling, sanding, cutting, etc.
P2 “P2” is the rating given to a respirator which meets Australian/
New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 1716 for filtering mechanically and thermally generated particles e.g. those from welding fumes.
GP1 “GP1” is the rating given to a respirator which meets Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 1716 for filtering mechanically generated particles. The additional “G” classification provides protection from nuisance* levels of organic vapours and odours generated by painting, paint stripping and cleaning, and agricultural spraying of herbicides, pesticides and fungicides.
GP2 “GP2” is the rating given to a respirator which meets AS/NZS
1716 standards for filtering mechanically and thermally generated particles. The additional “G” classification provides protection from nuisance level of organic vapours and odours generated by painting, paint stripping and cleaning, and agricultural spraying of herbicides, pesticides and fungicides.
A1 “A1” Low to medium absorption capacity filter for use
against certain organic gases and vapours as specified by the manufacturer.
