ArvinMeritor LVS NA/SA Facility Supplier Shipping Container Label Specifications Specific Criteria For The Supplier Shipping Container Label: •
The template specifies how and where data is to be placed on component part shipping container labels for suppliers to LVS facilities in North and South America.
•
Font sizes are specified for readability but may be adjusted up or down 1 or points to allow data to fit into the block area and to enhance overall label appearance.
•
Label size dimensions are nominal – 4” high by 6” wide.
•
Labels shall be printed with black characters on white background.
•
Fonts shall be upper case bold Arial narrow, Helvetica condensed or equivalent.
•
Bar code symbology shall be code 3 of 9.
•
Labels shall be verified as legible by the supplier per AIAG B10, QS9000, and ISO standards.
•
Labels shall be affixed to the containers in accordance with the applicable packaging design drawings and specifications.
Master Labels - Specific Requirements For Loads Consisting Of Palletized Totes (or Boxes): •
Loads of palletized totes/boxes are received as a pallet loads but may be delivered to the line individually. To support the related receiving and manufacturing data collection processes each tote/box must be individually labeled and the pallet shall also be labeled with a Master label.

All palletized loads must contain a single part number. Mixed loads are not allowed.

The format of a Master Label is the same as defined herein for a container label.
•
The quantity on the Master Label must equal the total quantity of the pallet.
•
Some ArvinMeritor sites require lot traceability information on component parts. If so, the lot tracking number must be present on each tote/box label in the traceability block. The Master Label shall also have the lot traceability field populated. If all parts are from the same lot, this should be the lot number. If they are not, this can be equal to the serial number of the Master Label. The supplier must retain records that link the lot numbers of the individual tote/boxes to the Master Label serial number.
Specific Criteria Regarding Traceability (Typically Suspension & Door Module Component Suppliers): •
The supplier must maintain records that link the lot number to specific manufacturing/assembly process data. Examples include: o o o o o

Date & time of manufacture or assembly Component part lot numbers Heat codes Manufacturing process data (temperatures, pressures, etc.) Operational test data
It is permissible to use an overlay label to include the lot number information on the container label. The overlay should include the part number in text format to facilitate matching the overlay to the correct container.
