SCHOOL SONG On the slopes of Table Mountain, ‘neath the shade of Devil’s Peak, in the old Cape Gov’nor’s garden by the Liesbeek’s winding creek; in the fields of arum lilies and the hedge of azure blue, with the golden sunshine round us – we learn twice one are two! In the old Cape Gov’nor’s garden, ‘neath the oaks of Van der Stel, with its white stoep on the highway – let Rustenburg excel! There’s many a good old comrade, who has won for us glory and fame; who has headed the lists with honour – and we mean to do the same. So here’s to the powers among us, and here’s to the classrooms cool – Hoorah for the past and present! Hoorah for our famous school! In the old Cape Gov’nor’s garden, ‘neath the oaks of Van der Stel with its white stoep on the highway – let Rustenburg excel! (Repeat)
