Access to Medical Records at your fingertips!!!! What is Patient Portal? The Russell Regional Hospital Patient Portal is an online health management tool that includes a view of clinical data from your Electronic Medical Record. The clinical data on the Patient Portal includes:  Test Results (Contact the ordering provider for questions)  Medications  Allergies  Immunizations  Health Issues How do I setup a Patient Portal Account? The first step is to provide your email address to a Patient Account Representative at Russell Regional Hospital. You may do this at registration or by calling 785-483-3131 Monday through Friday from 8AM to 4:30PM. Once you have provided an email address you will receive an email from Russell Regional Hospital with a link to create a user account. Accessing your account To access your account or additional accounts at a later time, please visit https://www.mymedicalencounters.com You may also access the Patient Portal by visiting www.russellhospital.org and clicking the “Electronic Records” link. Do I need Special Equipment? No. All you need is access to a computer, an email account that matches the one provided to Russell Regional Hospital and an internet connection. Can my family/friends access the information found on my portal? No. At this time we are only allowing you access to your own patient portal record. Can any patient get access to the patient portal? No. You must be at least 18 years old to get a patient portal account. Will I receive emails after each admission to the hospital? No. After each hospital admission a new summary of care document will automatically post to your patient portal record. You may access this document any time after you are discharged.

What do I do if I forget my user id or password? Go to https://mymedicalencounters.com and click on the “Forgot your user id or password” link. You will be asked to provide your email address and your date of birth. Once that information has been provided you will then be asked to answer 3 security questions that you setup during your initial setup. The next screen will show you your user id. You will also be asked to create a new password for your patient portal account at this point. Who should I contact if I have trouble logging in or accessing the Russell Regional Hospital Patient Portal? If you have trouble logging in or accessing the patient portal please contact the Russell Regional Hospital Business Office at 785-483-3131 Monday through Friday from 8AM to 4:30PM. I have questions about my results, who can I speak to? Please contact the physician/provider that ordered your test(s). If you have questions regarding your health fair results please contact your family physician/provider. Why is the results section empty on some of my summary of care reports? The patient portal will show a list of visits going back at least 5 years. However, results are only available for visits less than 18 months old.

How to Register for your Russell Regional Hospital Patient Portal Account: A Step-by-Step Process Step 1: You will receive an email invitation to create your patient portal account. Click on the link provided in the email to start the registration process.

Once the email is received, click on the link.

Step 2: Enter the First Name, Last Name, & Date of Birth. The Profile # and email address will automatically pull. Next create a User ID and Password. Be sure to select the checkbox verifying the information is correct and click on Register.

Step 3: Select 3 security questions and provide answers. These are needed in case you forget your password.

Step 4: Click on the “Main Menu” link after you have submitted the security questions.

Step 6: Select the applicable patient to view (if you are an authorized representative for more than one account, you will see all of them listed here)

Step 7: Select the applicable account. All accounts for your visits at Russell Regional Hospital will be listed here. Once selected it will load that visit’s patient summary.
