Pressed & Curved Flashings The standard flashing is the product used to weatherproof the building at the edges. The design can be a simple 90 degree right angle to complex multi faced sections for a more striking appearance. With computer controlled machinery which offers the highest quality and accuracy, products up to 6000mm in length can be produced. This coupled with our commitment to carry the materials needed including Corus Ultra, PVDF, Prisma, Plastisol leathergrain, Galvanised steel, pre-coated and mill finished Aluminium, we can supply the right products for the most demanding of requirements. Within our portfolio we offer curved flashings in pre-coated steel and aluminium. The pre-coated steel system is manufactured by lock forming two pieces together to the desired radius whereas the aluminium product will be a welded construction utilising 2.0mm or 3.0mm Aluminium. With the aluminium product corners can be manufactured to join a different shaped section along with channels, top hats and secret fix systems. Powder coating is available to any RAL colour with guarantees and can normally be done in 2 – 3 working days.

Architectural Fabrications The requirements for higher specifications for buildings have been driven hard to today’s levels. The complexity of the fabrications required for modern designs utilising a wide variety of materials needs constant upgrading of technical applications and search for new methods of manufacturing. We have a dedicated team of fabricators who manufacture bespoke products for customers to include bullnose features, column casings, soffit details, fabricated corners, curved fascia, manufactured from various materials and finishes. With the wealth of experience we have, we can advise on design and fixings best suited for the project. We have the capability to manufacture the most demanding requirements on time and in budget. Materials used include stainless steel, aluminium, mild, galvanised and pre-coated steel. Work is carried out to customer drawings involving punching, notching, folding and welding. With over 30 years experience our dedicated team of fabricators draw on their experience of general sheet metal skills combined with modern practices of cad and computer operated punching to make sure that the goods are manufactured to the highest standard. This coupled with the option of Interpon D or Synthapulvin powder coating makes sure that the goods meet the highest standards required.

Column Casing It is a standard that the column casing required will be of rectangular or round in design and incorporate a secret fix system to prevent any unsightly details. The majority of the products are used close to ground where any blemish will be easily visible. Standard galvanised, pre-coated steel and aluminium materials can be fabricated, powder coating can be applied if required and the full fixing system option is available to make sure that the product is installed as effectively as possible weather vertically or horizontally, low or high level.

Cappings Where required, capping is used to continue the smooth appearance of the building to the edging detail. Normally used with the secret fix system we supply, comprising of clips and bracket, the designs offer a plain uniformed finish which is quick and easy to install. Historically this product has been produced from 1.5mm or 2.0mm Aluminium which will be powder coated after production. There are fabricated sections available to provide clean corners and sectional pieces which seamlessly continue the design throughout. Public sector building projects have been specifying these goods over the last few years and most new Hospitals and colleges have the design features incorporated in the build.

Louvres & Soakers Each louver, ridge vent and soaker is manufactured to the individual requirement using whatever material is required by the customer to match the building Soakers can be manufactured to suit the profiled sheet it will be sitting on or with a flat sheet base along with circular or square apertures. They are used to weatherproof penetrations to roof and wall elevations. The standard material used is aluminium which is fabricated then powder coated as required but both Galvanised and pre-coated steel are available. Louvres will be manufactured to the required depth using folded steel blades to direct the air flow as required. The variation of depth is to match the insulation thickness of the walls. The product will be manufactured using the same material as the building as to blend and continue the aesthetics. Bird mesh or insect mesh can be attached to the product as deemed necessary. Please contact our sales and technical team for more information on the products.

Bullnose Aluminium Bullnoses are produced in one of two ways. The first being rolled to the specified radius using CNC rollers for a precise accurate smooth finish or by facet folding where the material is folded in increments to produce the radius required. Both are used for bespoke designs and stored in memory so that you can be assured of an exact match if further goods are required. The Maximum gauge used in production for aluminium is 3.0mm and up to 3000mm long. We are able to fold 1.2mm up to 6000mm long. We manufacture the corners in house, fully welded, either Bullnose to Bullnose or to verge or barge dependant on the requirements. Pre-coated Aluminium is available for this product or powder coating to any RAL colour with a 2-3 day lead time, guarantees available.

Gutter Systems The choice of gutter is varied from Trimline, Insulated, Single Skin, Bitumen painted, membrane lined and choices of Aluminium and Galvanised. At Versasteel we can offer the complete range. Insulated gutters can be manufactured using galvanised steel with a bright white lining enamel under skin and the required thickness of insulation sandwiched between the two. The fixings are generally clip nuts and provided on all jobs with the mastic. Recently there has been an increased demand for the pre-bonded membrane lined gutters. All of the fabrication is done in house by trained personnel and offers a 30 year BBA certification. All of the accessories are supplied such as loose or welded stop ends and outlets, weir overflows, hoppers, “T” junctions, sumps and brackets. Gutters also come with all the fixings necessary.

Insulated Gutter Systems Insulated gutters are a sandwich system with an insulted core to provide the desired U value of insulation. The top skin is galvanised steel, normally G275g coating but G600g is available 1.5mm, 2.0mm or 3.0mm, which is punched and joggled at the ends to form male and female joints. The core of the gutter is the insulation board cut and bonded to the steel at whatever thickness necessary. Bright white lining enamel is used as a standard to the underside of the gutter completing the three section component. These are produced up to a maximum of 3000mm long. The gutters are used in the valley and boundary areas of the roof. Corners and T sections can be produced to compliment the system. Stop ends and weir overflows are also available.

Membrane Lined Gutter Systems Recently there has been an increased demand for the pre-bonded membrane lined gutters. The idea of using a membrane is that once fitted the system is maintenance free. The membrane is heat welded to itself at the joints which makes a water tight joint guaranteed. The main membrane bonded the galvanised steel product we use is Raintite. This utilises Fatra membrane 1.2mm thick, bonded to 1.2mm Galvanised DX51D Z275g substrate. Fatra have been in production an excess of 70 years and achieve a 30 year BBA certificate for the material with an environmental standard ISO 14001.Fatra coated metal is the only system of its type to meet environmental requirements whilst delivering a system capable of reliable on site hot air seam welding. The Green issue is and will increasingly be of paramount importance for both new building applications and refurbishment of existing building envelopes. The life expectancy is in excess of 35 years. The membrane has a unique durable slip resistant surface and is provided with a flap one end so it eliminates 50% of the welding on site, thus increases productivity.

All associated stop ends and outlets are available and manufactured in house.

Training is available and certified so that guarantees can be provided for job

Gutters available in 3000mm length

Single skin and insulated gutters available.

All of the fabrication is done in house by trained personnel and offers a 30 year BBA certification.

Trimline Gutter Systems This product is used as an aesthetic feature on a building and is normally produced out of pre-coated steel to suit the other ancillary rainwater dispersal goods. The design is an industry standard with changing dimensions depending on the pitch of the roof. The goods can be produced up to 6000mm in length and can be fitted together with butt straps or telescopic pieces. They can be pre-punched for ease of fitting and reduced time on site. The option of doubled sided material is available for extra weather protection. Stop ends are supplied loose for the gutters and again these can be pre-punched if required.

Galvanised Gutter Systems The choice of gutter is varied from Trimline, Insulated, Single Skin, Bitumen painted, membrane lined and choices of Aluminium and Galvanised. At Versasteel we can offer the complete range. Galvanised Gutters can be produced up to 1500mm wide and to any profile. From 1.2mm gauge to 3.0mm gauge the maximum length produces id 3000mm. From 0.7mm to 1.2mm we can fold 6000mm lengths. The gutters can use standard 275g zinc coating of the 600g coating for extra weather protection. We can also offer a coating which increases the corrosion resistance. All the associated products such as outlets, weir overflows corners and T sections are produced in house and to dimensions provided.
