Customer Case Study YUSA Corporation The Challenge YUSA Corporation, located in Washington Courthouse, OH, maintains a highly focused effort to grow and satisfy their customer base. With their goal of continuous improvement, YUSA started to investigate AGVs (automated guided vehicles) as an alternative solution to manned forklifts. The company found the AGV solutions on the market required a significant initial investment as well as an ongoing investment for the addition and changes of routes due to the laser, tapes, or buried wires AGVs required.

The Solution YUSA was looking for ways to gain efficiencies when moving raw materials to the production area and finished goods to the warehouse. When YUSA learned Seegrid provided vision-guided Robotic Industrial Trucks that did not require laser, tape or magnet to operate, and gave them the option to change routes easily, YUSA deployed Seegrid’s GP8 pallet trucks.

The Results Seegrid robots showed their value immediately. Robots improved service levels for customer shipments—increasing customer satisfaction. Full-time employees were reassigned to value-added work activities in the plant, leaving the non-value-added work to the robots. Customer Case Study American Packaging Corporation The Challenge With the expansion of the Columbus, WI, facility, the increased space led American Packaging to investigate ergonomic alternatives to transportation with manned forklifts. As their footprint grew, the need to move printed material farther distances with speed and safety was essential. American Packaging knew they had to add labor or automate.

The Solution American Packaging had already automated their cylinder handling process—the next step was automating their industrial equipment.
