Robert Evans’ Online Mentoring Program

Hello, and welcome to this FREE Lesson of my Online Mentor Program. This week I’ll be showing you how I use Google Adwords to direct a lot of cheap traffic to my blog and also build up my database. Google Adwords is a great way to increase sales and build lists. However, there is a right way and a wrong way to set up your Adwords campaign. Do it wrong, and you could be paying £1.00 - £5.00 per click … but do it right – like I do – and your click costs can be as low as 4p … and you can get to page 1 of Google near the top with your advert. I’ll show you how within this lesson.

Best regards,

Rob

How To Use Google To Direct Traffic Blog Or Website … Sales … and Build List.

Adwords To Your Increase Up Your

As I’ve already said there is a right way to use Google Adwords and there is a wrong way. Time and time again I see people/companies using Adwords the wrong way and it must be costing them hundreds of pounds per week in click costs. The wrong way is to build a long list of keywords, write an advert, and create a campaign which directs all traffic to your website or blog home page. Doing it this way will cost a lot of money because unless you are prepared to bid 50p – £5.50p per click you are not going to get onto page 1 of Google with your advert. Take the keyword phrase: “Make Money Online”. This is a very competitive keyword phrase.

Let’s click at the bottom and see how many sponsored links there are.

And there are many more …

I’m on page 47 and still there are hundreds more!

All these adverts that are not on page 1 of Google will never be seen, and the only way to get to page 1 is to bid a huge amount per click – probably around £2.50 - £5.00 … if not more! Let’s have a look at the website that appears at position 1 on Google’s organic search result for this keyword phrase:

You can see that clicking on this site takes you to a specific page within the site giving you 101 Ways To Make Money Online. The owners have included the keyword phrase “make money” in both heading and sub heading and you’ll find the keyword phrase within the article too.

This is what Google likes to see. You should be taken to a relevant page within your site that is linked to the keywords you are bidding on. Google’s rule – Relevance is KING! If we click on the 1st Adword using the keyword phrase “make money online”, you’ll see:

A non-relevant website promoting a gambling site. There is no mention of the keyword phrase “make money online”, so for this advert to appear at number 1 will cost £2 - £5 per click.

Let’s look at advert number 2:

And it’s another gambling site:

But it’s obviously working EXTREMLY well for them as I’ve seen this advert showing for well over 2 years! Let’s look at position 3:

This time it looks slightly better:

There is mention of the keyword phase “make money online” but again you are still taken to a sales page. Google prefer that you send the searcher to a well written site or relevant page within your site that explains a number of different ways to “make money online”. Yes, you can buy a product that can help you make money online, but it’s not the perfect site to get the CPC (cost per click) down. Remember the website in position 1 of Google’s organic search results. It’s completely different to the adverts that appear for the keyword. If the website was an adsense advert, would reward the site by moving it up charging much less per click compared advertisers who simply send searchers page. So what are the best pages to send searchers to using Google Adsense? 1. A blog 2. An Article 3. A website giving free information 4. A squeeze page that offers free information in exchange for an email address 5. A relevant product page And the worst pages to send searchers? 1. A sales webpage. You’ll get a much traffic to a blog about the keyword the article or at sales page.

This is how you write articles, and it’s the VERY best option when using Google Adsense. Let me show you an example of one of my adsense adverts.

First, let’s look at some of my blog posting titles:

As you can see I try and title my postings using words that people would use while searching on Google.

For example, I have blog postings: * How To Use Articles To Build Your List * How To Create A PayPal Buy Now Button * How To See Who Visits Your Website Or Blog * How To Save Youtube Videos On Your Computer These are all phrases that people would type into Google. So if I placed an advert for “an easy way to make money online” keyword phrase, because I have a blog posting with that title, Google will see that my site is very relevant and so will reward me with lower PPC and a higher position. It’s the same with a lot of my blog posting titles. I often place an adword just bidding on the keyword phrase of my posting title. I usually end up on page 1 near the top and my clicks cost very little.

Here’s an example: Let’s search for the keyword phrase: “an easy way to make money online”

At the moment there are only two adwords showing for this keyword phrase. So, let’s place an advert for this keyword phrase. First, if you don’t already have a Google Adwords account, you need to create one. Go to: http://www.google.co.uk/intl/en/ads/ And click “Sign up Now”

Writing an advert - I’ve included my keyword phrase within the title, and within the advert.

My destination URL is the actual page within my blog people are sent to. The keyword phrase used is the one that is also the title of my blog post. This is a VERY relevant advert and destination page. Google will reward me for this.

In fact Google estimate how much I’ll be paying per click and it is 0.04p.

And then once I’ve saved the campaign, my advert shows straight away:

And then when searchers click on my advert, they are taken to the relevant blog page: Robert Evans’ Online Mentoring Program © Copyright 2009 – All Rights Reserved

My blog page consists of: 1. The actual relevant post for the keyword phrase 2. An email capture box 3. Google adsense 4. Links to my products. So this way I’m maximizing the profit potential of every click I receive. I get an order from approx every 70 clicks, so I spend £2.80 to get a sale. Now, I don’t get 100 clicks from the above example, this advert may only produce 5 clicks per day, so what I have is over 100 other adverts set up in exactly the same way. Again, I only pay 4p per click and I get over 300 clicks to my blog per day from the 100 Adwords campaigns I have set up. So, I pay around £12.00 per day for my Adwords campaign and receive 4 – 5 orders per day. If all 5 orders were for my Rich Monkey book priced at £27.00, I receive £135.00 per day … but I’ve more expensive products, so I average nearly £180.00 per day from sales, and I spend £12.00 to achieve these sales. On top of this I add 50+ names to my list per day and my email marketing produces more sales. So, I hope you can now see how I really do make Google Adwords work for me. Some people may disagree with my methods as each of my campaigns only receive 1 – 3 clicks per day, but with 100 campaigns I can achieve a lot of very cheap traffic. So, if you want to follow my method, create a website or blog that has keyword rich relevant information to send searchers to, get rewarded with cheap PPC from Google and start to see huge profits being created each day … and it all runs completely automatically. And … I have 20 other blogs in different niches markets doing exactly the same, so I hope you can see the huge profit potential of using this form of internet marketing.

This Weeks Tasks 1. Open a Google Adwords Account 2. Create a blog or website with keyword rich articles or posts 3. Create campaigns bidding on highly matched keyword phrases to keep your CPC (cost per click) down to less that 5p per click 4. Repeat the process with other niche markets

And that is it for this week. See you next week.
