Robert-Bosch-Berufskolleg In 1897 the community of Hamborn decides to establish a continuation school for 30 adolescents, who desire to attempt manual craft. By now RBBK has become the specialist technical vocational college in the north of Duisburg. At the moment about 80 teachers are working together with approximately 2300 students within the fields of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and materials engineering in order to achieve educational qualification, professional qualification or to pass their vocational school exams.

OUR EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES

Everything under one roof! No type of school is as diverse as the vocational college. Aside from full- and part-time training courses you can also find various possibilities for advanced training. | VOCATIONAL PREPARATION

Find the right way with us! Duisburg‘s north is shaped by the structural change in the steel industry. Due to plant closures, fusions and rationalisation multiple jobs for low-skilled young men have been cut. Through its learning opportunites, its support strategy and appreciative learning and working atmosphere Robert-Bosch-Berufskolleg offers the possibility to obtain additional qualifications, competencies and school-leaving qualifications with the aim of social participation to about 350 young adults per school year.

|| DUAL EDUCATION SYSTEM

Well schooled is half done! Highly qualified and comprehensively educated young professionals are the base for securing and further developing the Ruhr district business location. After an intensive cooperation between Robert-Bosch-Berufskolleg and regional as well as transregional training companies, roughly 350 young adults annually finish the school and enter their professions as well educated and urgently needed specialists. It may also be a little bit on top of the dual training.In each trained profession lies the oppertunity to achieve completion of advanced technical entrance qualification. This applies for:

. machine service technician . electronic technician of automation engineering . electronic technician for operating technology . electronic technician for energy and building technology . industrial mechanic . mechatronic technician and process mechanic . draftsman/-woman . materials tester

||| TECHNICAL COLLEGE

Further qualification at highschool-level! After the apprenticeship as skilled worker Robert-BoschBerufskolleg offers the opportunity to gratuate as a certified technician in the field of mechanical engineering or materials engineering. In the field of materials engineering this vocational training, which corresponds to level six of the EQF/DQR, can solely be absolved within four years in terms of evening classes whereas in the field of mechanical engineering alternatively within two years fulltime in daytime classes.
