ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to investigate the relation between aspects of emotional intelligence and retention among physical education coaches in Tabriz branch of Azad University. The method of the study was descriptive of correlation type. 94 physical education coaches from Tabriz branch of Azad University participated in this study. Cibria Shearing (1998) and Hosseini’s retention (2010) questionnaires of emotional intelligence were used for data collection. Pearson’s correlation and regression were used for data analysis.
