RETAILER GUIDE FOR PROCESSING RETURNS OVER THE WAVE TERMINAL This guide will assist you during the returns process that you will perform on a monthly basis with the help of your Lottery Representative. Returns will only occur with direction from your Lottery Representative. If you need help at any time, you may contact your Lottery Representative at the number he or she has provided you.

RETURNS PROCESS INSTRUCTIONS 

Terminal Main Sales Screen



Press the [INSTANT-MGMT] tab and then press the [LSR Menu] button.

You will be prompted to “Enter LSR ID”. Enter the 3-digit number provided to you by the Lottery Representative, then press [OK].



Next, you will be prompted to “Enter LSR Password”, which is a unique 4 digit PIN number created specifically for you for this set of returns and provided by your Lottery Representative. Enter the 4-digit PIN number as supplied, then press [OK].



NOTE: Your Lottery Representative will provide a new 4 digit PIN each time your process returns.

The LSR Menu will be displayed. Select either [Full Pack Return] to return an entire pack of tickets or select [Partial Pack Return] to return any range of tickets that is not a full pack.



NOTE: if the Lottery-supplied LSR or PIN number is miskeyed, or if an attempt is made to return a game that has not been authorized for return by your Lottery Representative, the following error message will be displayed:



If this error message occurs, contact your Lottery Representative for assistance.

To return a FULL PACK of tickets: 

Press [Full Pack Return] and then scan the pack activation card. PACK ACTIVATION CARD:

Scan the barcode on the activation card



If the scan is successful, the terminal will process the return and produce two FULL PACK RETURN receipts. Place these receipts to the side as you will need to include one (1) copy in the shipping bag when returning the tickets to the Hoosier Lottery.



If you wish to process another Full Pack Return, repeat this process. When you are finished processing all Full Pack Returns, press [CANCEL] to exit.

To return a Partial Pack of tickets: 

Press [Partial Pack Return] and then scan the beginning or ending ticket bar code of the partial pack of tickets to be returned.

NOTE: Many packs may contain more than one ticket on a folded side, so it is critical to ensure that the correct beginning ticket is scanned.

Helpful Tip: When scanning the ticket barcode on the scanner, place your thumb over the UPC barcode to prevent the scanner from scanning this barcode instead.

Scan the beginning ticket bar code to be returned. o NOTE: There are two sets of barcodes on each ticket. Use the longer barcode shown below.

Beginning ticket number in range: 000



If the scan is successful, it will be accepted and you will then be prompted for the last ticket bar code to be scanned.

Scan the last ticket bar code to be returned. The terminal will then process the return and, if successful, produce two PARTIAL PACK RETURN receipts. Place these receipts to the side as you will need to include one (1) copy in the shipping bag when returning the tickets to the Hoosier Lottery.

If you wish to process another Partial Pack Return, repeat this process. When finished processing all Partial Pack Returns, press [CANCEL] to exit.

Upon completion of returning full or partial packs of tickets and pressing [CANCEL], the terminal will return to the LSR Menu Screen.

To print a “Today’s Returns” Report from the LSR Menu screen: 

Press [Reports].

Press [Today’s Returns].



The terminal will display the “Returns Report”, summarizing the returns processed on the terminal on the current day.



Select [Num Copies] to print more than one copy. You will need to print at least two (2) copies. One copy will be included in the shipping bag with the tickets you are returning.

Enter the number of printed reports desired and then press [OK].



When finished, press [Close] to return.

Press the [Return] button to return to the Reports screen or press the [GAMES] tab to return back to normal selling mode.

Shipping Tickets back to the Hoosier Lottery Upon completion of the return process using the WAVE terminal for all full and/or partial tickets to be returned to the Hoosier Lottery, the following procedures should be followed: 1. Obtain one of the prepaid shipper bags supplied by the Hoosier Lottery. a. Confirm that the address on the label reads:  Hoosier Lottery 5252 Decatur Blvd., Suite A Indianapolis, IN 46241 2. Place all processed tickets inside the bag. NOTE: Do not send any tickets that have not been processed using the steps in this Guide. 3. Place one (1) copy of the Returns Report and one (1) copy each of the Partial Pack Return receipts and/or Full Pack Return receipts in the bag. o The report and receipts must be included to efficiently audit the returns and then apply credit to your Hoosier Lottery account.

4. Seal the prepaid shipper bag closed with the self-adhesive strip 5. Give the bag to your (or any) UPS driver OR Deposit the bag in any UPS drop box OR Take the bag to any UPS retail store

Upon delivery to the Hoosier Lottery, returned tickets will be audited and then credit will be applied to your Hoosier Lottery account.
