Resume of the Green Week:

Time flies… Our GreenWeek is already over! But if you’ve followed us on Facebook and Twitter you probably already saw that it was a success and that all our employees were very enthusiastic about it. We would like to give you a short resume of our GreenWeek Monday: On Monday, November the 5th the Green Week started with a kick-off meeting. All staff members gathered and talked about the meaning of GreenTech and the GreenWeek. After that, all staff members from ebm-papst Benelux got an organic lunch. At the lunch there was only organic en healthy food, like organic breads and crackers, organic milk and juice and a healthy salad. Some employees prepared a biologically dish for the lunch.

pumpkin soup. The lunch tasted very well and all the staff members enjoyed it. Tuesday: We started this second day with a course about EC- Technology to students at the ROC Ter AA 4th class'' Mechatronics Engineering and Automotive''. Employee Frank Windt (product manager) was the ‘teacher’ this morning. The students were very interested and asked a lot of questions. They already had some experience with fans and motors but not with the new EC technology. They all got a Green Week cap en we took a photo from all the students with the cap on their heads for our Facebook page. Later that day all the staff members of ebm-papst got a presentation from Mr. Felix Gruijters, Coordinator New Business and Sustainability at NUON / Vattenfall, about how to save energy. He gave us all kinds of information about their daily wasting of energy and he gave them tips about how they can easily save energy at home.

Resume of the Green Week:

This was the Green press day. We’ve sent out a press release and a digital newsletter to our customers, press contacts and employee. The press release was about the purpose of the GreenWeek/GreenTech and the agenda of the Green Week. The newsletter contained information about the Green Week but also about the newest GreenTech products. The press release and newsletter are primarily intended to inform our customers about our Green Week an Green Tech.

Thursday: This day all the ebm-papst Benelux staff members went on a low-car-diet. It meant that this day all the staff members came to work by bike or by public transport to save energy and to help our nature a little bit. Except for one employee (Frank), he came with a Renault Twizzy. The electronic car from Renault. Friday: The last day of our GreenWeek was all about teaching the kids from primary school Loeswijk in Mierlo about how they can save energy. The presentation was given to three classes (class 5/6 6/7 and 8). The presentation included information and videos about energy saving and also information about the environmental problems that are currently in the world. The children were very interested en asked a lot of questions about saving energy and they also told us what they are doing to save energy and shared many ideas with their classmates. After the presentations there was a balloon competition held at 12 o’clock on the schoolyard, the day had a splashing end. The winner of the contest will receive a special prize and all the children enjoyed it very much and also learned a lot about saving energy.

As you can read it was a great and fun week! We tried involve as much people as we could in our GreenWeek and tried to spread our Green thoughts as much as we could with our balloon contest. The first balloon cards were already sent back from north Germany. Pictures:
