Welcome, Thank you for considering serving with us here in downtown Sacramento, CA – a small city with a GREAT need both physically and spiritually. Every night, literally thousands of locals in Sacramento must decide between paying their electric or medical bills and putting food on the table for their families; those less fortunate resort to making their beds under the stars, in a city that would rather sweep such a problem under the rug than deal with it publically. But the Bible tells us that these are people, not problems – and although the homeless will always be with us, the story does not just end there. Through the power of the Holy Spirit we are called and enabled to do the work of Christ, acting as Jesus’ hands and feet to impact this community and demonstrate the Love of God to those who are hurting around us.

“Restoring Dreams. Renewing Hope. Rebuilding Lives.” Please join us for an opportunity to gain and explore God’s heart for the inner city and to be challenged in demonstrating that heart through learning how to be healers and peacemakers in a broken city, to love on broken people and to leave with a heart for ministry and a vision for the Kingdom. God Bless, Pastor Darryl Sandford Sacramento Dream Center

ABOUT US Look around the inner city of Sacramento, and what will you see? Some are lost (unsaved spiritually); many others are trapped in the bondage of drugs, alcohol, mental illness, or sinful lifestyles. When a person becomes homeless or trapped in the cycle of poverty, the first thing lost is their dignity. Hope becomes a word without real significance, and sin destroys relationships and families, leaving broken, hurting people in its trail of destruction. We have been called here to downtown Sacramento, CA, where God is in the business of restoring dreams, renewing hope, and rebuilding lives. Our ministry is a community of believers with Jesus Christ as its head. We seek to love, respect and care for one another as a demonstration of our love for God.

MINISTRY MATERIALS A full week’s worth of ministry materials is provided with the Dream Center’s Inner City Missions program. Daily Themes give group leaders an idea of how we intend the day to go, and also allow complete flexibility if you decide to adjust your group’s schedule. Morning Devotionals have been prepared to start your group’s day off right by encouraging reflection and meditation on God’s Word and the current social and spiritual issues to be addressed that day. Bible Study guidelines are pre-written and scripturally rooted. For your convenience, this gives your group’s leaders a starting point from which to begin. We realize that each group is at a different place in their spiritual walks and may prefer different styles of immersing themselves into scripture. Leaders are highly encouraged to use the program’s Bible study guidelines as a basis from which you can tailor the Bible study to best fit your group’s learning style.         

Gaining God’s heart for the inner city: PRICELESS Exploring God’s heart for the inner city cannot be bought. We must place ourselves in the path of Truth, step out of our comfort zones, and experience Jesus on the missions field. Your donations help offset some of the costs of ministry that the Dream Center does here in downtown Sacramento, including use of the facility, utilities, and outreach events. This program is an affordable way that you can bless your ministry group with an opportunity to focus on more than just themselves and promote spiritual revival through a change in attitude towards missional living and servant leadership. We will work with your group leaders to teach Christians young and old, how to find our place in the Adventure that God is doing in this city, in this nation, and in this world! If your group would like to participate in this program but money is an issue, PLEASE call the Dream Center at (916) 448-3733 and Pastor Darryl will accommodate you the best we can. Do not let money keep you from experiencing God’s heart for the inner city and learning about life changing topics such as “servant leadership” and “personal Kingdom vision” with us. We want to bless you, so come!

God Bless,

Pastor Darryl Sandford 8
